In this episode we leave the lovely little fishing village of Portmagee having had a great night with yet more fantastic food! Enjoyed more of the brilliant Ring of Kerry as we headed towards the Dingle Peninsula. Once again we were blessed with great weather and really enjoyed the route which hugged the coastline including a beach front cafe stop for Sue's mandatory ice cream!
The initial plan was to ride through Dingle and complete The Dingle Loop before heading back to our B+B, sadly, that plan was derailed by some major traffic problem so we had to abandon the idea and head back to Dingle. As disappointing as it was, it gave us more time to explore the delights of Dingle which was a bustling, colourful port town which boasts an impressive 53 pubs!
We naturally sampled a few of them and enjoyed a great night at The Dingle Pub with live Irish music and great craic with a couple we bumped into having a pre dinner Guinness. The following day we were heading to Galway via Kilkee Bay and the weather made our ride up the famous Connor Pass really memorable.
