IRISH Guy REACTING To Sleep Token - Take Me Back To Eden 

Personally, I have found the sleep token fandom quite welcoming and not critical. Many people find meaning and significance in a lot of their lyrics; others get sucked into the music. Musically they are the freshest thing to happen in the music scene in decades. Lyrically they are cryptic and just vague enough to have multiple interpretations while also being rooted enough to convey gravity and meaning. It's been a wild journey for the majority of the fans who became aware of sleep token early last year. I envy the long term sleep token fans. They have had a unique experience in seeing them rise from obscurity.

This is their most experimental album, perhaps closest to their very earliest EPs. It's by far their most popular album to date. I describe some of these tracks as being similar to classical music with 'movements'. While other tracks are more straightforward. I find them very enjoyable to listen to, even casually. They remind me of Queen and Electric Light Orchestra, bands back in the day who were experimenting with music. A lot of songs these days sound the same, like I've heard them all before and can't see them standing the test of time in the same way as the greats like 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Oftentimes, I really struggle to distinguish one track from another. I don't get that with Sleep Token. They're distinct and I think in years to come they could potentially be looked at as one of those bands who revolutionize music. If they carry on the same trajectory.

Their work belongs in the highest order of music; you want to inhabit it. You never want it to end.

Sleep Token have 2 EPs entitled One and Two, respectively. Each containing 3 songs. They then released 3 standalone singles, followed by 3 albums. Both Granite and Take Me Back To Eden are from their third album entilted Take Me Back To Eden and is the album that really blew them up. It actually entered the UK charts at No. 3. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

I really love OoS, Absolution, BH&R with everything else being hit and miss for me. Sleep Token is my favorite band. Take Me Back to Eden is the title track of their most recent album (the last in a trilogy with Sundowning being the first and This Place Will Become Your Tomb as the second). This is actually the penultimate track of the album but 'thematically' it's arguably the end of the album with the last track being the end/epilogue of the trilogy. I honestly think that if you were to keep listening Sleep Token it might be worth it to listen from the beginning because every single track is so distinct from one another and worth listening to. I wouldn't give them all a thumbs up but I can count on only one hand the tracks that I don't love. Everything else is gold in my eyes. And I know that if you start from the beginning the final track of the trilogy has so much more emotional and thematic impact. The EPs One and Two aren't necessary for the trilogy but they do introduce the themes in a more straightforward kind of way.
