I discovered this song last week on the great radio station 90.5 Brookdale College radio! What also makes it great is that it doesn't "sell out" with a key change. It hit so nicely because back in Sept, 2005, I was riding the Hudson Metro Train into New York City and I had a craving to listen to Fiona Apple's "Title" album during the ride. An hour later I bumped into Fiona near Grand Army Plaza! I told her that I was just listening to her album and that "The First Taste" is my favorite song. I pulled out my digital camera and asked if we could take a selfie together, (before the word selfie was coined). If you ever saw the movie "Sixteen Candles", I accidentally held my camera so it only caught the tops of our heads and no one believed my story, even though Fiona will verify it.

How does this beautiful song only have 85 comments? Truly one of the best songs I've heard in years. Very moving

I adore this song. It's poetic and melodic, harmonic and hypnotic. Been listening to it for a while and seeing a completely different story. I'm afraid the video isn't a god fit with the song at all for me.

Favorite artist and a great new song. Saw them in concert recently though and ..... TERRIBLE. Uninspired, lazy effort ... played for just over an hour .. some quality stuff off of the new album but the song choices from previous albums were terrible. Pick an old song you loved and ... well guaranteed they either didn''t play it or did a hack job sounding cover. Single song encore that was just awful. DO NOT RECOMMEND - save your money and go to a concert by an artist who still apparently cares. That was hard to write about my favorite artist.

This video disappoints me. It doesn't portray the story in the lovely song and it paints human nature in a very ugly and unlikely way.
