What makes me hopeful in Canada: People that show up to work to support their families. Trucker protest. Carbon tax protest. People looking after the health and educational interests of their kids. Certain provincial governments. The federal and BC polling.
At the time they were calling Leslie Church as the victor, because she was leading most of the polling stations at the time. Lots of outlets called it early because of it being a Liberal stronghold. The final tally didn't end until around 4:30 in the morning.

what van incident? you mean how people in canada have been conditioned to hate arabs and asians? canadians have disliked the chinese since the korean war and even before that its normal. Just like how muslims or arabs are treated the same way because we went to war with them they are the enemy.
