I'd recommend getting rid of the ishizu cards, runick dispelling and smithing storm and adding 2 edge imp chains, 1 patchwork and 1 poly. Edge Imp Chain is dark so can be used as fusion material for Lubellion, it's also a great card to discard for Hugin.
I have a buddy who plays this at locals and he always does reasonably well. He loves runick and it seems to be his favourite runick variant to play atm
When I was at regionals past weekend, everyone playing Runick Chimera was not playing the branded package, it was Rudnick/Chimera cards & then some non-engine, this free'd up their ED a lot for other jank as far as I could see. You just play more of the not-so great Runick cards, make of that what you will.
Replace Albaz package with Super poly, and then free up 4 spots for super poly targets and/or S:P and Ty-phon. Edge imp instead of shufflers works wonders, just feels like it sucks without running hand traps going second.
I added Nightmare Magician to the deck for that exact reason. Sometimes you just want a dark monster to shuffle FAb back without summoning and banishing and creating space for interruptions
Also, using tip to search a Runick card when you already have 5 Runick cards in hand isn't how I would play it. I'd have used destruction to summon, pitched a flashing fire, and used tip as follow up if Hugin gets ashed
I play versago the destroyer in this deck for when I need a dark to send off branded fusion. I then Summon out winda. Winda is insane with the runick cards. Usually she can't be outed
You would need to be dumping a shaddoll monster. Versago can't be used as a substitute for a "shaddoll" monster. Versago can only be used as a fusion sub if the monster is mentioned by name (fallen of albaz, dark magician, etc.)
@@sDkrumpedon ah my bad, shaddoll Falco could be used instead then. At the end phase it would summon itself and then instead of summoning chimera you could summon winda with the Falco and derfomet. Good catch!

@@phantomsygo plunders don't need to normal summon when they are used as fusion materials and sent to the GY, and the new Berfomet can foolish a fiend monster + it can be accessed by ship shape ships shipping
@@Cartman1415 You either play until they play into talents and then steal or you can play the new TY-PHON as its a non-targeting bounce that they cant negate
Fur Hire Runick was my baby but I've played basically every Spright Runick variant before. I'm not sure how I feel about the engine going into this format but it seems solid.
When you opened double Chimera Fusion, Albaz, Slumber, and talents, you could've gone into Hugin, search field spell, then normal summon Albaz to use its effect and make Mirrorjade. Stuff to consider
