I think ppl interpretes thing incorrectly here. Chiquita doesn't want to copy Lisa or want to be new Lisa. But, what she wants is to be the great artist, who has great influential and Love globally, which is also what YG wish.
I hate yg sm, like having similatiries is not and will never be bad. However, if you keep emphasizing those similatiries instead of showing people what's Chiquita capable of, there's a huge problem. It would have been better if yg allowed people to realize the similarities between the two of them as time went on, instead of shoving it in their faces. Like I remember watching Chiquita's introduction and feeling a bit angry because I wanted them to showcase Chiquita either her personality or her talents, but they kept going on with her being to be like Lisa one day. It's completely okay to have a role model, but allowing her to be her own person will be always better.
I don't know why people are talking about this? Chiquita's "DREAM" is to be like Lisa in the future, what is wrong with that? Her inspiration is Lisa to do her best to achieve her dream. Is there any artists who wouldn't want to be Blackpink? Most young aspiring artists boys or girls would like to be Blackpink who is most loved group around the wolrd. I'm sure Lisa is happy that slowly Chiquita is getting there. As what Lisa said, it takes practice and determination. As Jennie said, said show them how desperate you are. That is how Blackpink supported their little sister and the Netizens find it offensive? How? YG artists supported Babymonster, including Blackpink, because they see the potential and the talents these girls have. I can't understand the hate for Blackpink being an inspiration of Babymonster. Or the hate for Babymonster for being a fan and aiming for the achievements of Blackpink. Again, every young girls DREAM is to be Blackpink, that is why, they cover Blackpink's dance performance, sing their songs, buy tickets to their concerts and follow them everywhere.
For me, babymonster is babymonster. Blackpink is blackpink. The people don't want another blackpink imitation. There's nothing wrong with using lisa as inspiration but it feels off to actually copy her. Why would we need another lisa when we already have the original? She will be pressured so much for having to imitate lisa and being compared to her all the freaking time, mind you she's only 14. It all comes down to yg's marketing strategy.
@@rosesyn it is more stressed when your debut is not popular. She is blessed that she is hyped because of Lisa and started her career much easier than many of the others. She will be on her own after the hype is gone and it is when the real pressure comes
@@SillytanN don't know about that. Debuting from one of the big 3 companies with bp and 2ne1 as seniors is enough for them to be relevant. Just like nmixx, jyp connections in the entertainment industry and loyal stans have pretty much made them relevant despite their bad debut song and now they're doing great by leaving their experimental music behind and just having a regular song concept. And i think it would be so much better (and so much fairer for other members of baemon) to not use other idols. Also, people will try to invalidate her success in the future for copying lisa.
I'm early yay! I love your videos! In my opinion Chiquita is not the second Lisa but she's the first Chiquita. I hope people stop comparing Chiquita from Lisa. Chiquita still has to learn more, she hasn't even debuted, and people are already comparing. I do think that yg is trying to make Chiquita the second Lisa just to attract more people towards their new group. YG played with our feelings by saying that he will debut only 5 members and then suddenly he debuted all 7 members just for clout.

Yg is obviously promoting chiquita as the new lisa from the very beginning that's why she's so overhyped. I've heard she's also training to be a rapper even tho there's already 3 rappers. See? They're trying so hard to make her be the lisa 2.0. This 14-yr-old will be remembered by people as the next lisa and not as her true self who doesn't need her senior's name to be relevant. Hey, admit it or not, being hyped, Chiquita is the most searched new kid in the block. Her inspiration is Lisa, same with Pharita. YG is hoping that Chiquita will achieve what Lisa has achieved in the future. There is nothing with that. Blackpink and other YG artists are helping Babymonster to get the hype they needed before they debut and it's a marketing strategy. If Babymonster is being vocal on how they admire and follow Blackpink's footsteps is a no brainer because Blackpink is the most powerful group around the wolrd, who wouldn't want to be like them? Not to mention that Jennie and Lisa said Babymonster is so talented. The hype, the promo, and the help from their seniors, shows they believe that Babymonster will rock the kpop industry and the world of music.

She has popularity advantage from every members mainly because of her copying lisa and not for her talents . Yg is obviously using bp's reputation and letting chiquita copy her as a form of marketing strategy. I mean it's already inevitable that they'll succeed, i mean they're from one of the big 3 companies, they're associated with bp thus having access to bp's huge fanbase. Even if they produce bad songs, loyal blinks and yg stans and connections will still make them relevant.

They're both Thai, the similarities in their overall appearance and that chiquita is also currently training for rap despite having already 3 rappers in the group and despite her being a good vocalist material. YG is very desperate for that. Apparently they want to use the last breath of BP's hype to debut new groups before BP gets actually old and goes downhill after the Born Pink tour. Chiquita is too young with too little training and the only thing can make her popular overnight is promoting her as the new Lisa.

she is very young and has strong ability to learn new stuff. there is no harm to be more all rounded like Jennie who can both rap and sing well. She will be given more flexibility when she is mature enough like the BP members now.

Yes you are right, that is why, being like Lisa is her dream and also the hope of YG in the future. I don't understand why people are sad and agitated with the Dream of a 14 year old. Who wouldn't want o be Lisa, the most powerful Thai artist? Most of the young artists now are looking at Blackpink and respecting them as the inspiration. She even said herself that one of her goals, is to perform at Coachella, I admire and respect her ambitions for a 14 yr old but, I just worry about the expectations people/fans are already have for her! The way YG is comparing them is plainly obvious but Lisa will always be her own person and Blackpink will always have had a huge impact on K-pop whether you can accept it or not. Blackpink is one of the groups that brought pop to international fans. It makes me sad to see videos that say 'The next Blackpink?'. Chiquita also wants to make herself like Blackpink and Lisa in particular but I feel like the constant comparison isn't something fans are going to like and if Babymonster wants to make an impact, I don't think they should do it as a Blackpink copy, in that scenario we all know who wins.

Lisa's standard is unmatched. Lisa has always been on top even in the most intense competition since young age, and it is still highly competitive within BP nowadays. Don't forget Lisa is only the best dancer in the group, while the other members are all rounded as a better singer/actor/tv host/comedian/English or Korean speaker than Lisa, while also having insane level of dancing skill and stage stability. And this competition reminds Lisa that she needs to keep growing.
