Also, Drukhari (or Dark Eldar, if you prefer) have since at least their 5th edition codex have the technology to be reanimated from mere scraps of their former bodies by the haemonculi, seemingly without limit. A severed hand was once famously all a haemonculus needed to regenerate the owner. Also, richer Drukhari like Archons can afford to clone themselves. I don't know how well it pays to be an Incubus, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that they could save up for a clone or two.

Brother Alaric I think they only take jobs from other Drukhari. Also, I don’t think any other races would trust Incubi.

Possibly. Either that or his armour has some kind of identification marker that others can read (like how Space Marines can tell which battle-brother is in what armour but the signals emitted by their armour)

It's just what they call him, it's more like a honorary title. It means "the living blade" in their language, so it's not really a personal name.

Hardly any drukhari special characters live up to their fluff on the tabletop in 8th. I've seen Lelith get leveled before by a basic terminator captain in one on one matches, 4 out of 5 times. Drazhar is the same. Underwhelming. The only thing that makes Urien worth taking is his aura ability for all prophets of flesh to increase their stats and give em a 4+ invuln save. To bad we don't have Vect anymore.

@@ashtongreen5494 If they made tabletop rules to match the lore then a Militarum player would need 2 hours to field all his troops while an Astartes player would drop 3 tactical squads, some terminators and a tech marine with a few gun turrets and call it a day.

Agreed. I'm sure there's some form of contingency in place should their numbers drop below a certain number. Perhaps they recover the armour of the fallen from the battlefield before simply bestowing it to those who have more than proven their skills, or have them go out and try to kill a Wych or they simply have the Haemonculi covens resurrect them, or something like that.

Would that requirement just make any new Incubi near impossible. Each full Incubi is basically the equivalant to a Exarch, so each new one has to be better than that. They then grow and improve over the course of centuries or even millennium. So losing to a new recruit should be near impossible unless they weaken or are tag-teamed. The first is not usually much of a problem for the Eldar, and the second goes against the principles the Incubi seem to follow, amoung each other at least.

Ummmm. The Haemonculi could bring them back? I'd imagine that several of them have deals with the Incubi. Protection for regeneration.

I'd hazard a guess that any dents to their numbers are made up by trials. So you'd maybe have a group of say 6 drukhari who meet the standards then have them fight to the death. Whoever survives begins the training a proper and gets the suit.

Stoic there are ranks of Bloodthirstiers, I assure you you would need several custodes to fight Ka’Bandha or Skarbrand. Plus eldar might be frail, but they are skilled like almost no human, and we are talking of a probable ex Phoenix Lord, which is almost Primarch level.

I assume they'll collect the armour of those slain on the battlefield and simply give them to the most skilled and vicious students instead of making them kill another for their armour in that case. Either that or they simply have the Haemonculi covens resurrect them, but I'm just spit-balling.

Agree, but this happens all the time. If eldar ir sm would be as powerfull as the lore tells, they would win almost every game.

Well it is possible that the Haemonculi covens could simply resurrect those Incubi slain during the recruitment process, since they have that ability.

I don't think one exists tbh. I think the closest equivalent would be aspect armour, but that's more akin to power armour than Terminator.

pheonix lords get a 2+, so kinda close? their nearest equivalant is wraithguard, though they are less 'armour' and more a big ass golem powered by a soulstone

Wraith guard would probably be the closest analogue. But it's not the eldar way to have slow bulky armour. Even their heaviest armour (dark reapers) is agile.

Well, not that this is an answer as such but if you read Andy Chambers 'Path of the Incubus', the titular incubus survives a duel against Drazhar. The incubus loses the duel but is spared a death sentence, much to everyone's shock; the implication being that he is still worthy of his place within the shrine, despite having broken his oath by killing his former master (who was demonically possessed). Presumably, this means that Drazhar will eventually fight all Incubi or at least those that return to the shrine?

Considering that none of the Aeldari sects/sub-species tend to not utilise warp travel (due to attracting the attentions of daemonic entities) I find that possibility to be highly unlikely, personally.

Well, for the longest time, they're we're basically janitors, so not as impressive as M30 or 8th edition custodes.
