Is Icarus The Most Underrated Survival Game Of 2024? 

Kill bees with melee weapon (knife, spear). Sidestep bears, run past, turn, shoot. Get in deeper water is a good way to fight bears/wolves. Swim backwards, stab/shoot it in the face. Wolves are a good xp harvest. Knife (I think) is probably best for close quarters wolf killing. Murder horses are also good for xp, but can be a little harder to kill if you don't get a good hit with an arrow. Bears of course are high xp, but need some practice. You can set up a couple of poles at an angle and run up them. Shoot from the top. NB - you need to be in stealth mode so you don't fall off. Look out for crocs in the water - they are slowish on land, but deadly in the water. Bone arrows help!

When mining, try to mine the complete node - you get extra points (you can hear when the node is mined out).

You need posts under the house for support. Physics and gravity exist on Icarus. If your buildings don't have proper support you can have plenty of problems later.

Good stuff..you almost naturally figured out how to kill that bear...shoot..move towards it then side step to let it charge past - then shoot, rinse and repeat...bear jousting is an important skill to master! Also, if you get caught out in a storm you can hollow out a big rock with your pick for a temp shelter. (Or try find a cave - or carry 4 walls and a floor and roof around with you)

Having played the game for some little time, I can understand your jitters at the beginning (yup I still piss myself laughing at your fear and mistakes) but then you do seem to be able to come back from the dead and go right on for the next scream. Knowing your are a POMY (Prisoner of Mother England) and not a Yank only adds to my own amusement, well done keep the series going, it does get better the higher you climb. I could offer a lot of advice but my twisted sense of humour forbids it as I need the laughs and you provide such a lot.

Killing wolfes while sitting down in stealth attack mode, try to get a headshot, bone arrows are the best low tier arrows that I find myself using alot when i create a new character or so. They hit harder than stone arrows. chopping trees, any kind of harvesting and crafting really. If you craft tree sap in the mortar and pestle you can set it on full que so it keeps crafting after you run out of the base and go mining or hunting etc. The hunting i think gives the highest leveling besides missions.

Gold is no good until you get into the higher levels. Iron (plus a bit of copper) is initially the most important ore from level 10. Anvil, iron tools (required to skin higher tier animals eg buffalo) and flint arrows (to go with the longbow).

Taming: Murder horses, Buffalo and Moa.

You can dodge bear attacks by moving toward them and strafing every time they change you

the foliage is barely moving during a "massive storm"

Most underated Stutterings in game ever also

Waiting for a bigger variety of interesting mobs to kill.

Try to shoot the caveworms in the mouth.
