What a better way to wrap-up this trip than to taste the delicious food from the local market, not to mention, the Shisa Factory being such a highlight in the community and the various arts & crafts. Thank yo so much for touring us around this magnificent island, we Love Ishigaki and Ask Japanese!!! P.S. Is Cathy a mermaid? Wuuuut!!

I have been there and yes, it is such a nice place I will go again. I stayed at a nice place up from Yonehara beach and not far from Kabira Bay. On that trip we got stuck indoors by a Typhoon for a day but typhoons are something to experience and not anything you can plan on.

I used to live in Iriomote Islamist for 5 month and went shopping there Ishigakh once a week ❤ locals are very friendly and beachesa are amazing! But my favorite Island is Taketomi island next to Isigaki. It just takert 10 min by a farry ! I rescued several cats from ishigakh and Taketomi both islands. I’d love to ishgaki area agin!Thenk you for the nice video! I really enjoyed watching it❤

Wagyu beef has kind of gotten to be a thing here as well. Some local restaurants claim to sell it but i question the authenticity. There is a Ranch up north however in my neck of the woods. Which has a contract with a Japanese restaurant chain. Which is in the northern highlands & since space is limited in Japan on raising Wagyu. They produce it here but has to meet very strict Japanese standards and requirements. It is only here it is produced above 5,000 feet or about 1,524 meter above sea level. Wagyu or also known as Kobe beef here stateside is very expensive. You usually won't see it in but the most exclusive restaurants and steakhouses. Cool to see Cathy Cat traveling the countyside as i hope this becomes a new series. 🙏 😹

I've flown with my dogs on countless occasions, it's fun, but not that exciting. But my only flight with a cat was more than exciting... it was terrifying... for me and Milley (the cat).
