@@CameronAlford I think the RS3 feels souless if I take it on my commute. When I first got the car during the pandemic I took it out every day on my favorite local roads, and revved it out, and enjoyed it every day. Returning to the office with it is such a waste of miles sitting in traffic. The car has plenty of soul, but the roads will limit you so much with this car if you dont have some good backroads or take it on track.

I’ve been Full bolt ons E85 on my RS3 since October. I daily mine and I have to disagree, you definitely can drive it everyday and still enjoy it. Thats what I love about it, I will often find excuses to just go out and drive it.

@@demetriusjohnson4231 i own one too. Had it 3 months, nothing has gone wrong. It's stage 2, catless downpipes, secondary car delete, intercooler, spark plugs, turbo elbow. Brilliant car, go for it!

I daily mine (well most days), and for the majority of time, i'm just cruising around in comfort mode. It's stage 2 running E85 full bolt ons. Sometimes I think I should have just bought a very cheap car instead, but I love it and i've always had performance cars so I wouldn't have it any other way. I can tell you hands down it's the ultimate daily, and when you put it into S-Mode and give it the beans, it's absolutely nuts. The noises it makes, the power, the torque, its just a weapon of a thing which also looks beautiful yet angry, and it blows me away every time how rediculously fast it is. So glad I bought this car and love the videos, community and aftermarket support available.

Coming from an RSX that's making over 550whp and neats fbo/e85 RS3s and then buying an rs3 as a daily makes it so much enjoyable. I enjoy driving it around especially around town as the exhaust note is spot on and has all the amenities. I guess it comes down to whether you want an all out car or a nice ride that's smooth yet puts the power down

I really relate with this. Recently, I drove my car once in a month span, then one more time the following week. Once I came back from a trip and drove my car after that whole break, it felt soooo nice. The desire to just go and have fun was high. Great perspective, big fan CA!

I had a Golf R new off the lot and I tuned it and did a few bolt ons and I daily drove that for 3.5 years and I absolutely LOVED getting into it every single time. I'm hoping I never feel the way you described about the RS3 I'm picking up soon.

Ive had an S3 stage 2, and an RS3 Stage 2, I now have a RS6. and I too have to disagree, Its not that It gets "boring" or "old" after a couple weeks, u just get used to the power and torque which makes it feel boring. its still quick it didn't get slower or anything. you just got used to it. and you want more! and more and more its an obsession with wanting more power getting faster and its addictive. my RS6 is stage 1 and it was so fun for the first week, it still is but like all humans not satisfied anymore so I want more so ill be going stage 2 soon.

Had the same thoughts with mine! Used to drive it to work every day and was losing that excitement I used to have, so bought a daily and started treating the RS3 as a weekend car and now I cannot wait to get into it every time! 😍 they’re such amazing cars.

Forgive me if you've covered this in previous videos, but what was the mileage on your RS3 when you bought it? I feel hesitant on buying cars (specifically used) if they have mileage on them.

I've a '21 TTRS stage 1+ Unitronic E85 Tune making just under 600 HP and totally disagree with your opinion that the car drives itself. If you turn off the traction control the car gets pretty squirrely in manual mode. These cars have high RPM liftoff oversteer. You can use this this to do pretty crazy powerslides. You can't be a noob and plow through corners in these cars. They're basically FWD. Your drivability issue are all in your tune. My basic thing with these cars is people own them to go FAST. Most of them are modded. They're like alien technology. On paper these cars shouldn't be so fast, but they punch way above their weight. Like you mentioned...most people don't know what an RS3 is let alone a TTRS. It's fun as hell surprising people in my "hairdresser" car. Just had a mustang roll up to me on the highway and purge nitrous last week. It was like racing a Prius.

I’m going from a stage three IS 38 GTI coupe with the 6-speed and I love it it I want something that’s a little more tame on the day to day but I want that potential and that’s the exact reason I’m shopping for an rs3 right now. That sound everything like that I’m so excited to get it and I’ll keep gti as my track car car when I miss having three peddles. Well that and a 2GR swapped Mr2.

That’s wild, it almost ( not quite ) makes me want to get something else. Last thing I’d want is to get an rs3 and then be looking for something else🥲.. I daily drive my stuff and would daily the rs3 if I had one. I have a stage 3 a5 ( k04 n all that ) and I daily it, never got tired of it. Every time I drive it I’m like fuck I love this thing.. I wonder how you would feel if you had a ttrs ? Or would you approach it the same and not daily it?

For me, the whole point of a car and especially an Audi is that you can drive it daily and you can rip it on some backroads and both are awesome. The RS3 sacrifices abit on the daily comfort aspect but it is so freakin fun to rip around some curves. Such a small tossable car, especially with some suspension mods. So I love how drivable the car is on the unitronic stage 1+ tune and stage 2 tune as well, and I don't mind putting miles on the car at all. When I wanna chill, the sound system is awesome and I can chill and just drive it and it's comfortable. When I wanna have some fun, pop it in dynamic and it's the best sound I could ask for and the best feeling too. I actually just went back to stock springs and 245/40/18 tires. Lost some of the sharpness in handling but it still works great and it's a lot more comfortable. I also love how the stock springs ride and I think lowering springs kinda mess up how good the suspension rides on stock springs. For me, if you want to be lowered just for looks, springs are fine - but if you're doing it for handling, I would save and get coilovers. They're expensive but they'll ride MUCH better than lowering springs on stock shocks.

man that's every enthusiast's dilemma. of all the cars i own, ive gotten to a stage in my life where i have a few and my pride and joy is my NB miata. its not fast, its not new, but i only get to drive it like 30 minutes a week and i am ALWAYS in full fun mode. ive considered adding power in different ways but why? My GTI is fun, and my subie is great, but i drive them too much to really have the same initial enjoyment. I've learned, too much of any one thing is bad and in order to appreciate my NB, i only drive it for fun, not to grocery shop or go to work. its something i look forward to

Hey mate i can totally relate to your comments about regular driving, they are a very fast car but quite unrewarding to drive. I'm now at the point where it doesn't excite me. I need a car that challenges me, these are just point & shoot. My STi feels like i'm going to die, the RS3 feels like a simulation.

@terrychen2293 are you running a square tire set up? Once i added bushing inserts and went square it improved the feel for certain.. I'm not sure the understeer really improved but the feel is better and i understeer less

Dead on review. I don't daily drive my RS3 for that same reason. I feel guilty putting excess miles on my car. She's stage 2 tuned and she drives and sounds perfect. I'm older and have owned sport and muscle cars in the past. There are many cars that can go fast in a straight line. Then there are others that are very luxurious. This car gives you a little of both worlds. You can't go wrong with this car.

I had a 19’ stage 2 RS3 and a 21’ stage 1 RS5, and you couldn’t be more correct. they are excellent daily drivers but lack soul. I definitely got bored of how good they were. biggest first world problem ever!!! lol. now have a 392 Wrangler and it’s an absolute beast. 0-60 is the same as a stock RS5, but the sound is incredible, especially with the top down and doors off. there’s nothing quite like that experience! plus being the ultimate off-roader and winter vehicle is quite the all arounder. except for the fuel economy lol

bought mine brand new and owned for lil over 2 years now you cheaped out on the suspension by putting in springs instead of coilovers so you essentially can only go in a straight line. i would argue is that you made your build a bit boring. one of the mods i did was a kw v3 magnetic adjustable coilovers and it eliminated the understeer and the cornering was insane. literally floored it on a corner and kept traction (ps4s) so im still having a blast because of how it grips with the right setup but i will agree, this car is so good it does almost everything for you. but when i was shopping it was between this rs3 and a manual m2 comp i had to decide if i wanted to win or have fun i choose winning and that was my deciding factor. the whole souless arguement i would say you shouldve thought about what you were looking for before you buy this car. again are you doing this to win or to have fun? there is no wrong answer for me, i have fun when i win lol

have had both multiple times back and forth. M2's are pretty much done regarding brakes and suspension also don't need to upgrade mounts on none transverse motors. RS3's are money pits since they require upgrades even in stock form. Personally I think they are the worst brakes from an German manufacture.

I only got a stage 1+ tune on my s3 and im not bored, trick is not to daily it and go slow with the mods. Only got 8k km on it and had it for 14months lol. Anything you in a daily basis will get boring 100%

Manuals for a 500+hp car is kinda pointless. The gears become so short your shifts are 1/5 of the acceleration time for 0-60. Or you get the Porsche gearing that has 2nd gear going 82mph so you can't rev it out nearly anywhere legally. Neither one being very fun.

@@Vermonstered I’ve driven half a dozen cars with over 500 hp, all manual. Also fwd awd and rwd. It’s def fun. Autos are usually faster than manuals and are their own kind of fun. But manuals are a blast and def keep you on your toes.

Per the point of the video, daily driving a 500+ hp manual would kill most of the thrill of the car be it the pucked clutch, long gears or being able to stay in a gear less than 2 seconds. Manuals are always slower than the DCT with this kind of power...

But I’m a man with strong legs so it never bothered me. We all know autos are faster. But I appreciate a manual and the skill it takes to drive a high powered manual car fast. Have fun with your automatic and I’ll do the same with my manual. Different strokes for different folks, the most important thing here is that we’re all enthusiasts.

@@gregprevite8548 This is why no actual metric will show a manual is faster than a DCT at this power level. Your entire posts is about pounding the table about you can like what you want, which I don't disagree with, but offer nothing to why manuals with high horsepower is better besides different strokes for different folks. You're the one who said manuals can be faster than DCT's at this power which is flatly untrue. At 500+hp (nearly 600hp in this case) you're spending 1/5th the time shifting in 0-60 runs while in this case as well lose some of the ability of the new AWD system. You're slower with that power and again better off with less power. It's a lose/lose to row your own boat at these power levels, especially for a daily - again taking it back to this videos message. You're only limiting the car's abilities because you want to row your own boat as so much of today's cars are tied into the computer. I can pretty much already say the GR Corolla is going to be a more fun car than this in a manual. The Supra or Z or manual M2 will be more fun than this. Nearing 600hp just isn't good manual territory and it's always slower. Btw I drive a ~300hp manual daily. Don't try to make this about auto vs manual drivers.
