I advertise in my local parish magazine. A great captive audience and work. Many senior citizens who shop local and don't have access or a need for the internet

A average Website free to begin with and word mouth is all i have ever needed litrally im struggling to keep up with demand and have been working in this location for about a year. Some good points though cheers

@@aemackintosh makes sence i always start new services with existing clients and give discounts untill i feel i have it mastered. Im about to test a new softwash chem next week not SH ill make a video with link to product.

Face to Face, it's the only thing i know off, that is in any way successful. Everything else is down to luck & just not worth the wasted energy!

I am spending £900 a month on Google ads it's a hit or a miss, I think a good reputation is key

Before I moved to Glasgow I had a very good run in my local town in central Scotland, was in the local paper for years and became a household name, however in the big city it's a different ball game.

Face to face canvassing is definitely a great way to get work, but more labour intensive. I started advertising in books like this to pick up some better paid work, and help build my reputation further. But I think it definitely varies in different locations.😃👍🏼

I was thinking of advertising in the local village magazine which covers 3 villages near me to target an area then get rid of some of my work farther from home 👍

There’s services that will include your details in all the free UK directories (citations) if done properly this can have a large impact on your Google maps ranking (the 3 results at the top) Search “Blackheath Window Cleaners) as an example

Paper advertising doesn't work for me anymore, and I would never do it again... its expensive and the mag/leaflet goes in the letterbox and in the bin...With everyone on there phones these days, i put one add on the local facebay, it's free and the emails roll in..

cns worx Whatever works for you in your area. We have some of those booklets that are delivered monthly and some are quarterly. I think people keep the quarterly one and refer to it when they need a local trade.😃👍🏼

I found it depends a lot on how good the directory is in your location. I found one that was okay but went out every 3 weeks so got a bit expensive. Was good to be picking up a different type of client that my online advertising would but I got a lot of time wasters. Older people starting to loose it with too much time and not knowing which service they actually wanted 😂 I found I would only get good leads in the busy times eg Xmas and spring when I was too busy to deal with old people ringing up haha
