I am trying out a brand new New Holland roll-belt 450 round baler. In this video I am trying to see if it would be worth while to upgade from current 644 round baler to the new feeding system in the new round balers.
I’m running an RB 450 silage special and I love it! Replaced a Vermeer 554 and never looked back. Bales are tight and it eats hay faster than my fields allow me to travel…even with record tonnage and huge windrows this year. Buy it! Keep the 664 as a backup for when your NH monitor spits an error code. I’ve had a couple of issues detailed on my channel😉
I went from a 644 with twine to a Netwrap RB450 last year and it's a very impressive leap in technology! The bales are rock solid, it doesn't miss a wrap (with quality betwrap), and she moves right along!
New bailers are worth it, friend of my dads stopped by on a property we roll up, bottom field is 17 acres its upper is 5. Dad using an old bar bailer vs his new john deer belt. He rolled the bottom 17 and came up to help on the top 5. You would have thought dad seen a UFO lol
My oldest son is looking to start putting up hay in the next year or so and he was looking into the RB450, sounds to me like it's awesome. Yeah my son said they were on the higher side, well maybe that's just my point of view, I'm as tight on money as the baler is on the bale density. The shield was not far enough away from the auger, so it maybe the auger or could it be the shield out of adjustment. Cost is important, but at the end of the day, it's what you can afford and if it saves lost time, does it save a lot of cost on down time due to repairs. Just my thoughts, sounds like your going to hold off for now. Well, thanks for sharing, have a great weekend.
Good looking and running bailer We’re running Vermeer 604N Works good for our Bermuda hybrids I try to put a 4x5 bale on the ground every minute and a half What are they talking for that one? Happy Harvesting 😎
@@LoefflerFarms Yes that’s what the new Vermeer’s are going for. Between drought and reduced fertilizer inputs our bale count to date is down 200 for rounds. I must say you do a darn good job repairing equipment! Thanks for the videos
Hello looks nice but I'm not a fan of new Holland because there machines become obsolete there parts. A 20 year machine oh that part is not available that is obsolete. Have a great day
Lely balers are not imported to the US to my knowledge, McHales are but very limited. Silage does not matter to me because I don't have use for it. And this baler was plenty fast enough for me maybe it would matter in a really smooth field but the ones I baled were not
