Follow us as we take an impromptu walk from Land's End to Nanjizal Bay on a stormy day in November 2019.
The storm clouds are gathered over Land's End and the wind's blowing as we wonder around to discover what we can see, is this a good storm watching place?
After exploring Land's End, we decide on the spur of the moment to walk to Nanjizal Bay. I just wanted to know what the Song of the Sea looks like in a storm. After discovering the cove earlier in the year and, knowing how close it is to Land's End, we decided to take a risk and try the Coast Path to Nanjizal Bay.

I enjoy your videos. I am in Long Beach California USA and would love to hike around Cornwall some summer, thanks to seeing your adventures. You seem like good people too. Keep up the good work!

Having had a spell of 16 years living in Cornwall, it will always be my 'spiritual home'. Just spending time marvelling at the dramatic scenes, finding one amazing view after another and feeling like it's all yours to enjoy whenever you want...fantastic! The sounds of those winds and waves bring it alll back.

I like summer and winter - both are great with their different colours and I love the sound of troubled water and wind. But I was a little afraid for you both ! Thank you for these fantastic views. 💟💟💟

A different take on the scenery. I think most people will visit in the summer when is it calm, blue and sunny! Sarah :)

Gorgeous video...! And... I definitely think that winter windy & rainy walks leave a stronger mark than summer ones. If we go to consider this, I believe also that morning walks are better than afternoon ones. Especially when you can meet sunrise 🌅

Sarah and Andrew, that was Brilliant!! Thank you so much for taking us with you on that memorable walk. Nanjizal is a lovely spot. PS: I like the sea in winter. The action, the excitement, everything is alive. Creation showing its most dramatic beauty. Thank you xx

In bed all cosy watching you both brave the winter weather, I am jealous of how fit you both look from your walk, my sitting down job doesn't allow for such beautiful although blustery walks...keep up the great videos, really enjoy watching you guys xxx

I am familiar with the sitting down job role! It makes me more determined to get out, as I worry about the long term affects, you hear so many bad things about sitting down all day! Sarah :)

That looked exhilarating and the sea dramatic. The path at 7:00 appeared rather close to the edge! We would have been rather wary of walking it in those blustery conditions - well done for braving it! A walk like this awakens all the senses.

A little secret - I often think plain blue skies in videos are challenge to continue to make them look interesting. A dark, cloudy sky can look so ominous, dramatic, Sarah :)

We have done this walk from Sennen Cove and back over the fields, its a bit narrow on the S.W.C.P. just before Nanjizal, so much so my wife was hanging on to the strap on my backpack and said afterwards, " if i fall over the edge, so do you". Another glimpse of what i can enjoy in March. We dont like the crowds that Cornwall can attract in the high season, much prefer to stop and take it all in with just the wind for company.Well done on walking in that wind by the way.

This is really amazing footage from the winterly stormy coast! And so very different from the summer. I must say I myself prefer the summer, as I am walking along the path 12-20 km a day during my vacations. The smells, insects, colours and foliage are a thrill and the temperatures are very agreeable. But I am very grateful to be able to watch this video and the wild winter views without freezing :-) If I had been living in Cornwall I would definitely have done some winter walking as well :-) Thank you for sharing this. Torunn :-)

That wind was howling. Do they put up a Land End 2020 sign up after the New Year? That cat was the ambassador for Lands End. Glad those bluffs don have rabbis with all that frothing. LOL. One question though, couldn't lands end also be lands start???????
@CornishWalkingTrails
@CornishWalkingTrails 4 года назад
A good question! and one we often wonder about. I guess the person that named it came from the land side and not the sea side?!? Maybe? And does every country have a land's end? Another poser! Sarah :)
@shirleyc285
@shirleyc285 4 года назад
It's had a lot of bad reviews on trip advisor. =\ Do you still have to pay for a pic at the sign? I would go again if it wasn't such a tourist trap. You did well braving the wind though ☺️
@CornishWalkingTrails
@CornishWalkingTrails 4 года назад
Totally understand where you are coming from and it is unfortunate that it has been overdeveloped as a tourist attraction. But they cannot deny you access to the coast path so at least entry to the site is free, although parking is not! The booth for the Land's End sign was not manned on our visit but if you want the distance to your home town and the date, then they charge - I didn't look how much! I wouldn't pay for it myself, Sarah :)
