@@trav4144 respectfully disagree. If we talking a few years back . I would agree with you . I'm speaking purely on rapping technicalities. Bars , rhyme schemes . Delivery . He's better . The artistry or any other Convo is debatable . But I don't think ppl pay attention how Cole's able to keep the same rhyme scheme throughout a whole verse . That shit is difficult to do . Like on " punching the clock " from The off season " . He kept that whole rhyme scheme through the whole song .

It's an excuse if we're giving retrospective reasons to free him of deserved flack b/c of how the rest of the beef went. To me, from the moment he did it the way he did, he's looked the same type of 'crazy'. Like it was a show of humilty (which is stand-up), yet he could've moved w/ a greater sense of concealment and kept that same energy

Heck, even this premise that a rapper can't drop whatever type of verse they want 2 as if there doesn't exist a body of work that already speaks 2 their abilities. Almost every rapper that's ever existed has a bad verse or feature. Not liking it doesn't erase away their résumé.
