With all this apron cap talk. Why not lock in your own guys. Randle has been an all-star has played well. Unfortunately he got hurt and as far as what he can do in the playoffs what he potential other players done in the playoffs. It takes a TEAM to play these games. Knicks are a deep team that couldn’t go further after all the injuries they’ve sustained. Bring back this team if possible tweak the bench a little bit. And let’s go.

If they sign iHart, sign OG and extend brunson they will be an apron team, they will not be able to replace Randle

Our ability to tweak will be destroyed by the aprons. We have to find a way to have the flexibility to add what we need such as a backup point guard and another shot creator. Can't keep this whole group together. I would try and unload mitch and also bog. This will allow us more flexibility. As currently constituted we aren't good enough

After Randle went down, Donte: 21 ppg, 4+ boards, 3+ assists, 1.7 steals, .7 blocks. 1.8 turnovers. 39% from 3. Top 3 in the NBA in three point makes. HIgher true shooting percentage then Brunson. Good defender. Still young/improving.

The Knicks are not going to extend Julius Randle now. It's ridiculous. Worst case scenario, is that he has a huge year, and may opt out of 25/26 (his age 31 year because he turns 30 in 5 months). However, if he has a huge year, and the Nova 3 + OG are healthy, they definitely make a championship run. Probably win. Knicks are going to shop him hard, and there are certain players out there like Markkenen and Towns who are bwttwr fits for the big money or even Kevin Durant, (who gives them opportunity to win next year). Isaiah Hartenstein is a bigger piece in this than people are talking. The Knicks have early bird rights and can offer him 4-yrs at $73M (and id make that deal) but OKC and DET need a center like him now and what both pay 50M for 2 years, which would make Isaiah eligible at age 28 to sign a Max steel. They also could give him 100M for 4 years, 7M/yr more than Knicks. Hartenstein needs to give the next say discount because of how well he fits in that system and if he does

If Julius or Jalen sign an extension, that is what it is, an extension of the current contract. An extension does NOT count against this year's cap.

I really don't think Randle is gonna take a pay cut because of the fact that he knows if he does the front office might trade him as a pose to him getting the max he knows nobody is gonna want to pay that contract 🤔

Randles game will not age well, or get any better so you should start looking to move on from him. Do not give him an extension under any circumstances. Run it back with him for this upcoming season. You can like Randles #’s all you want, and ask the questions of who comes in and replicates those #’s? I say to that, I don’t need any 1 person from the PF position to come in and get the same points and rebound. I just need a player to come in and mesh with what we all ready have on the team defensively and on offense. If you were able to acquire let’s say Naz Reid from the Wolves, he would be the perfect replacement for Randle.

If the NY Knicks want to keep OG & Hartenstein have to trade Julius Randle & Mitchell Robinson that will increase the Knicks salary cap. That's the only solution

They will never be under the cap without a tear down Doesn't matter what they do, the most they can offer iHart is $16M
