The Governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson, has scheduled eight men to be put to death within ten days of each other. The reason for the unprecedented timetable is to use up the state's supply of a lethal injection drug called midazolam before it expires.

So he murdered someone, got a life sentence (max sentence aside from death), escaped and then killed more people!?! How is that someone who will learn their lesson? Death penalty was the only punishment left in the book! If he was truly sorry, he would accept the punishment with grace

Let’s be real, Kenneth Williams brutally executed 2 hostages from a robbery, managed to spare his life by getting a life sentence only to escape and murder another 2 people, im against the death penalty in most cases but certain people deserve death if not only to give so many family’s closure and imo Kenneth got what he deserved in a far more humane fashion to what he did to his innocent victims.

The only problem I have with capital punishment is that often time a person's guilt is never fully established and I do belive that a lot of innocent people are put to death! That makes me sort of skeptical abt this form of justice, however, most people are guilty because of overwhelming evidence. I'm neutral regarding this controversy

Lisa N I don’t agree with the death penalty in most cases, but he killed 4 people and ruined so many lives and to be fair when you’re in prison for ever there a lot of freedoms and luxury’s you can still have, visits from your family, education, TVs, recreation etc etc it may not compare to life on the outside but it’s still a life, people can still be happy in prison I know this because I’ve spent time in prison myself, all be it when I was younger and I have a totally different outlook on life these days but prison really isn’t as tough as the media portrays it to be. Like I said before I’m against the death penalty because of how flawed it is but make no mistake some of these guys, serial killers, child murderer and rapists they deserve death in some cases that’s just my opinion.

because it isn't the victims/family VS. perpetrator(s), it's the STATE vs. Perpetrator(s). If the state didn't reserve the right to punish lawbreakers, we'd have a society of vigilantes. I'm on the fence about this. How easy would it be if word got around that X murdered your child........ the family of murdered child gets to get a family posse together and go murder their child, or kill the murderer?

THIS! This is why I’m in such limbo about the death penalty. They committed an awful crime and get the death penalty. And after years on death row awaiting their death, they completely change. They become a different person. Most of these inmates had a vile upbringing and they don’t know any better when they commit the crime. So they go to prison where they have structure and guidance and they become the person they were meant to be. You see the potential in them and you see that they truly regret what they did. And that’s what makes it so hard and so so sad. Yes, Everyone makes mistakes! And we pay for those mistakes. They committed the ultimate mistake, and so they must pay the ultimate penalty. But damn…. You can’t help but feel bad for the person especially the ones who changed for the better. They are not the same person who committed the crime so long ago, but yet, they are. Ughhhh!!!! This is why I struggle with the death penalty. 🥺🥺

I personally don’t believe in death row/execution. I believe justice is served by being sentenced to life in prison. I personally think that death is only justified when 3 conditions are met: 1. When the crime is inhumane, for e.g child molestation, senseless murders (like literally killing for the fun of it), acts of terror. 2. When there is unrefutable evidence (and I mean unrefutable) has been provided. 3. When there is zero remorse shown.

I think victims families should have a say in this because they’re living a death sentence. I don’t believe in the death penalty but if someone knows it exists in their state and they go ahead and commit a crime like murder, they run the risk of being given the death penalty. I understand that childhood has a major bearing on negative adult behaviour so it should be considered but as human beings, to take the life of another person for any reason other than self defence, I struggle with that. It’s a difficult topic.

I agree the drug must make the person go from this world to an other world with no pain if possible. If there is some pain, I don’t think it would be any greater than that he inflicted upon those people he admitted he killed and their relatives. No one likes pain so spare it to everyone whenever you can.

I came from aggressive when I say it was bad it was bad child abuse , and I would never think about taking someone else life or even hurting someone unless to protect myself and those I love.... We all want and are in need of Gods forgiveness so I hope he gets it....

I wonder do the lawyers ever stop and think about, when they're arguing for their client, (who's on the row because they murdered someone), and they're trying to argue against the drugs being used, until then all of these horror stories, and the pain that could damn well feel, but can't say anything because their lungs are paralyzed, and them feeling like they're suffocating, and on fire at the same time, which is true, we have seen that has happened time and time again, however their lawyers, so they know that, we have never saw a case, that has won against this argument, or been commuted because of these drugs, so it's like, as a lawyer, Do You realize by wasting all this time, and telling the stories in front of your client, and then just to lose, that you're actually the one making it worse for them, because you're scaring the living shit out of them, at least if they don't know what to expect, it might go by just a little bit easier for them, because they don't know what does that, just like their victims did not know what to expect, so why it was absolutely horrific for their victims, I'm glad that at least they didn't go to bed knowing that some Maniac is going to break in tonight, rape me, and my daughter, and kill us both, and buy them put in an all of these last-minute appeals, knowing for flipping a well, that nothing is going to become of it, and they do know this because we see this over and over and over and over again, they are only making it worse for their client, when he's there expecting to die at 6, and scared to death because his lawyer has told him already that he's going to suffocate to death, and feel every bit of it, and instead of him getting it over at 6, he has to look up at the clock and see that it is 7 o'clock the 9 all the way to midnight sometimes, and the in May of course is of losing their mind at this point, thinking is there some small chance, that they're going to get us stay that day, just end up being killed at midnight instead of at 6, like seriously, if these lawyers are going to play these games with these people, then they should be filing an appeal for uneffective council, against their selves, because they're idiotic as hell. Smh

Did he anesthetized all the people before he kill them? Just because he is sorry for what he did that doesn't mean he shouldn't get punished

Last Dec. At Kaiser, I had a major neck surgery. I remember The Anesthesiologist introducing himself and hooking me up to IVs and stuff, I woke up 6 hours later, and it was all done. Sure they had tubes and stuff, running thru my head/neck. Why can't they use that stuff. Great stuff, I tell ya.

It is true. The Ultimate punishment is death. If it were done more swift and often. No more languishing in prison. It would act as a deterrent.

I find it suspicious and absurd that killers claim either sexual or corporal abuse. Attorneys need to come up with a better defense.
