I’ve been drinking AG for a while but having a hard time justifying the cost. I’m exploring alternatives. Thank you for mentioning D and K as I definitely need those vitamins. Great video.
Just drank the first AG1 today and was ill for a few hours. Never happened before. It seemed common. They were nice to refund me right away before I even asked, when I told them what happened. I’m back to only Huels, vitamins and regular food. Which always make me feel great. The taste was also horrible. I hope they improve their product and get more transparent about their formulas and side effects.
@@FitnessFinance4u thanks ! much better today but had to call a doctor yesterday. If you look up « AG1 side effects reddit » you’ll find plenty of similar cases. I bet those « scientists » who promote it with authority like Huberman have never actually researched the products effects and aren’t nutristionnists. They just use their audience to make money without checking.
Transparent Labs makes a great prebiotic green powder. Very clean and clearly outlines the exact amount of everything in it, which isn't much but in my opinion, that's ok.
The sugar content not on the label but 10 carb-5 fiber = 5g , guessing from the pineapple which leaves 1.27g for the rest of the super greens fruit blend which seems kind of small. Hard for me to call dry pineapple superfood but does taste great and I don't mind it being there- just would prefer a larger relative dose of the super greens methinks. Thanks for putting it on the radar, I do prefer the wholefood approach rather than additive supps in the AG
I simply can't justify the high price points for super greens. As long as they taste good and have a decent ingredient list, I always go for cheaper. Sticking with Transformation Protein's super greens. They taste good!
I'll stick to AG1. Not a fan of many of Laird products. Although I'm a fan of Lairds sport. I prefer taking Vit D & K separately, I can control how much I take.
I'm on day two of AG1... trying to help my daughter get healthier so I doubled down on it so we both can do it. Expensive? Not really, regardless of which product we go with long term, using a healthier product sets a mindset that removes our grabbing a soda and donut for breakfast.
You probably do need that high of a percent of daily vitamins because most people don't eat a balanced diet, plus physical and emotional stress will deplete them quickly in your system.
My guess is that the stuff in AG1 works better on an empty stomach and vitamins D and K absorb better when taken with food. Maybe why they're separate.
I’ve been taking AG1 for a year now. You can’t put a price on nutrition. It’s $100 per month so not cheap. They are both good. You should at least take one of them.
Athletic Greens vitamin E dosage is WAYYYYY too high. Studies have shown that over time, large vitamin E supplementation has deleterious effects on health. Also, when you say vitamin D and vitamin K work together, that is not entirely true. It MUST be k2 (mk4/mk7 variants).
