Is Middlemost Post REALLY What Nickelodeon Needs?

TBH this show is harmless, but Nickelodeon releasing it now feels like what Hannah Barbera did in the 70s. Release a bunch of Scooby Doo knockoff shows that were running in conjunction with regular Scooby Doo, because Scooby Doo itself was a huge moneymaker

Remember when Nick had good shows like welcome to the Wayne and Harvey beaks but then proceeded to kill them because they didn’t get as many views as SpongeBob

Even if the show is decent, I'm terrified of Nick snuffing it out anyways if it doesn't meet unrealistic ratings expectations

It just needs more stuff. All they ever show is Spongebob and Loud House all day.

Idk at this point it's useless to think that a new nick show would save the channel

Nickelodeon is a pretty interesting company

If I were the president of Nickelodeon, I would greenlit original Nicktoons more often, especially story driven ones. I would make them last longer and not cancel them for not being as big as SpongeBob.

I hope Nick doesn’t mistreat Middlemost Post for not being as popular as SpongeBob just like how they did to other Nicktoons like El Tigre and Harvey Beaks.

Shows in recent times are like if you went to a restaurant and the menu only had 20 types of steak. Steak is yummy, but I think stuff like spaghetti, pizza, chicken and soups etc. should also be there to give a little variety to people who don't want to eat the same thing over and over again. 20 years ago there were shows like Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, GA of Billy and Mandy, that one prison parody show the name I forgot, Home for Imaginary friends. There was variety, so if you didn't like one show you could watch another. Nowadays there are mostly just Energetic characters and their whacky shenanigans , Slice-of-life sitcoms and Animes. I like the former 2 but I'd like to see something else.

The show definitely has potential. The pilot was solid. Had a few misses but nothing drastic. I just hope it gets limelight it deserves from nick

Oh hey the creator noticed your video on Twitter. Either way, I do think Nick needs an original cartoon with wacky animation, something that modern SpongeBob is known for. Of course, they bring in an artist from the show to create his own Nicktoon and it works. I really enjoy it, especially the chemistry of the main characters and the usage of mixed media.

While I do enjoy SpongeBob and the Loud House, I am a bit disappointed that Nickelodeon doesn’t have much of a variety of animated content as much as they used to. Even some I enjoyed like Harvey Beaks didn’t last too long and only had 2 seasons due to the fact it was given little attention. Making an animated series takes a lot of work and people, so by not giving it a chance is like saying that it’s all for nothing. Though to be fair, Middlemost Post only premiered in the Summer of 2021, so I don’t expect episodes to come out within a matter of months. As for the show itself, I will say that it’s pretty good for what it is. The main character Parker does remind me of SpongeBob with his optimistic attitude (which makes sense since the creator did work on that show), but the fact that it’s centered around mail delivery does give the show its own identity. The voice acting is very well done, including John DiMaggio as Angus. As for the animation, I am aware that it is done digitally with ToonBoom (the same program used for animating The Loud House), but it gives me that classic hand drawn animation vibe that I remember from the early 2000s, especially with it being dynamic and lively when it needs to be. Overall, Middlemost Post is fairly decent. Sure, it has a few flaws, but no animated show is perfect. I can definitely see the potential in this and the effort that was put into it. It’s one of the greatest Nickelodeon cartoons I’ve seen in a while and therefore, it deserves a chance.

Ofcourse middlemost post is needed! The minute it was added to nickelodeon, I literally fell in love with it. Sure it may have some bad language in the first few episodes between 2 seasons, but overall, it's really good to watch and it somehow teaches valuable lessons

I like this show it's very cute and it reminds me of The Mighty B which was a underrated, and childhood show imo.

They just need to focus on making action-packed cartoons with plot

The dynamic between the characters reminds me of Chowder.

All I can say is the Nickelodeon is too scared and cowardly to let other shows shine. If something bad happens to SpongeBob, they’ll be doomed because they didn’t plan ahead.

This show is okay. I'm not sure it'll ever reach the same level of enjoyment for me that classic spongebob does, but it's alright. It's sorta lowkey funny, and the characters are entertaining.

I don't hate middlemost post, its animation looks great and well put together and some of the jokes are fine, but i feel like now's just not the time for that. Nickelodeon seems to only show wholesome slice of life comedy shows nowadays. Maybe it's because i'm from a country were Nick only aires older things (i haven't even heard of its pony before) but if i turn on the tv, i will see the loud house, spongebob, the cassagrandes and the occasional live action show. Nickelodeon is just airing anything with comedy and wholesome things in it hoping that it'll stick. And i'm feeling like middlemost post is just another attempt. If anything, i'm kinda expecting it to get cancelled early on because it just doesn't reach the same numbers as their other animated shows Not me trying to be a downer about it, i just don't trust nickelodeon after seeing them put anything that doesn't reach spongebob levels of popularity to nicktoons before permanently cancelling it

Answer: Middlepost Post might not have a lot a episodes, but it won’t be the most popular show on Nick like: Spongebob The Loud House Rugrats Even shows get rebooted like Rugrat.

I've watched a good amount of this show so far and it really does seem to remind me of modern Spongebob specifically, Parker's happy go lucky attitude that is clouded (pun intended) by their naivety.

I thought this would have a small chance because it's a better version of Breadwinners, but after Nickelodeon made the decision to move It's Pony to the Nicktoons Channel (despite getting good ratings), there's pretty much no chance for cartoon to succeed. I commented this on another channel but they SERIOUSLY need to fire Brian Robbins or whoever is in charge at Nickelodeon/Viacom, because they clearly don't care about long term benefits, they only want short term benefits. It honestly makes me sad that they're still neglecting their newer, original shows because I grew up with Nickelodeon and to see them continue to make bad decisions just breaks my heart. I want them to succeed and get better and have a variety of shows in both quality and quantity like they did in the 90's and 2000's but if they continue to make these terrible decisions, no one will ever want to watch them again and they'll go out of business in the near future. They can't rely on SpongeBob and Loud House forever.

Still bad when I'm at work there's NOTHING on TV for kids. Watch cartoons on TV lately? Its 20mins then a ton of commercial! My options are Nick, Disney, and crossing my fingers on an old Pixar movie on one of the movie channels.

Why are they even focused on ratings anymore?? TV is dying at a rapid pace at this point why pay for cable when I can just take the ads away and get a streaming service for a price that's not even over 20 dollars.

I doubt it. Nick hates variety and different quality of cartoons and even if they do bring in new cartoons, it won't save Nick as nobody talks about Middlemost Post and it will be forgotten like It's Pony or even care or help Nick boost ratings. Like CN, nick is already doom.

I realize that what Nickelodeon lacks nowadays is relatable characters. Rocko, Doug, Dib, even Tommy and Ren to some degree, were all relatable people, especially to kids and tweens. Still wacky, but you can see yourself in them a little bit. Almost every character Nickelodeon pushes out today is just Spongebob on sugar. While we have some realistic characters like Lincoln, everyone else is just off the wall wacky and don't have very realistic struggles or traits.

I think a show starring characters working as postal service is a great idea, especially for an adventurous setting, but the show seems to be suffering the tropes of gross-out humor. Of course, I've only watched about two episodes, neither of which gave the a sense of development. Maybe it's just Season 1 blues?

It has a lot of potencial the visuals are pretty and exciting but i would have it be just a little bit more chill tho i feel like happy whacky nonsense torture characters is being already filled by modern spongebob and its spinoffs . After they tried so hard I really liked the ending when Parker was crying and his friends were conforting him it was really cute wish the ending didnt dimiss the mans rightful concerns tho

Personally, I don't think so, mostly because you just *k n o w* Nick will screw it over like they do for everything not SpongeBob or Loud House. In fact, even the Casagrandes seems to be on its way to the Nicktoons death slot - and that's a *part of the latter cash cow,* while both of SpongeBob's spinoffs (also known as the bad ones) get treated just the same as their parent show! Just thought I'd share that last part to prove my point

What does nickelodeon need? A revamp of Invader Zim! It was canceled due to its budget of minor 3d elements (back when it was BRAND SPANKING NEW). Now days, it's cheaper for 3d! Plus keep it close to the original (aka make it somewhat dark but still a comedy), it could (probably not completely fix) help the channel; it's a franchise that has a cult following and audiences want slightly more adult cartoons

What Nickelodeon NEEDS is to stop cancelling good shows, or making good/meh shows worse. As one example, I liked Henry Danger but then they turned it into the worse adventures of kid danger. I may have only liked henry danger cause i was young though, so maybe it was just bad all the way through.
