As a 64 year old woman, married to a great man for 46 years....NOTHING tested our marriage like menopause. I wish my husband would have had these words of wisdom from Ginger Billy. Ginger Billy, you are a gentleman AND a scholar! 👍♥️😆
@@mr.duncan2337 Or, as originally stated.. get you a newer one, without all the headache. It's a win-win situation. You get the upgraded model & she gets away from you. Both parties win.
@@doejon9424Agreed. If that is the type of life you are living, end it as soon as possible . Never draw out misery. Marriages like mine are rare, and I wouldn't settle for less....no one should.
Thank you for letting men in on some parts of menopause that women go through, BUT you haven’t told them everything!! I don’t have hot flashes, I had night sweats, mood swings, weight gain, lack of sleep, and NO desire for sex!!! My poor husband has no sex for 2 years!! The few times I offered it, he said, well I’ve been without this long, so why bother!! We are both 53. He has even said we should get divorced, cause we’re just roommates at this point! But he has stuck by my side! I love him with every ounce of my being! Couldn’t even imagine life without him!! So thanks again for bringing this to light for men with no clue what menopause is! And trying to keep it lighthearted! Menopause is the devil and pure hell for us women!! ❤❤
Well that’s something I never had to experience as a husband. My wife passed away in her early 40’s a few years before menopause would have started. “You go through this together, that’s what couples do.” That may have been the wisest statement you have ever said, Billy. Yes, your wife may be going through a rough stage of life now, but at least she is still going through life. Be grateful you still have some one to go through life with. Go through it with her, together, that’s what couples do. Bless you, Billy.
God Bless you sir! Sorry for your loss. I would be lost without my wife. There's absolutely no telling what my life would look like. She keeps me straight! I hope that I never have to give those words of advice that you have given in this comment.
@@mr.duncan2337 Well her maiden name was “Duncan”. I’m in my fifties now, I’m seeing a widow lady whose also in in her fifties. We have many other things in common other than being a widow/widower couple. There’s a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and and a time to dance. It’s nice to laugh and dance again. I think I got to miss the whole living with a menopausal woman thing.
Well he is asking men to be supportive despite how hard it may be to deal with it and he’s acknowledging that it’s even harder for the woman. I certainly wouldn’t be angry about him doing so. I’d love him more for it! ❤️ They have a beautiful relationship. There’s a lot of love, respect, understanding, and patience from both parties. Many relationships are not that strong. They are both lucky in love as the saying goes.
My mother went through this a while back. She is the calm, cool, and collected type. The exact opposite of my father. Anything needing a gentle, and calculated approach was where my mother would come into play. After the hysterectomy, she became a....problem. I'm talking will love you one minute and be ready to fold your clothes with you still in them the next. My dad, my sister and me almost got connected to God's wifi on a few occasions. I remember one time we went to McDonald's and they had got our order wrong twice. The third time they came to the truck with the wrong order, I saw Satan come out. The 5'1 woman jumped out of the truck and went inside. She came back 5 mins later with our order, plus 2 big macs, 3 large fries, 6 apple pies, and 2 large drinks. I was too afraid to look back into the McDonald's or ask what happened. Godspeed Billy.
Oh, must not have been too bad, since you got like 3 orders (what, no keys to the store?). I'm picturing the prom scene from Carrie. Or maybe the inside of McDonald's was.
Omg you sound like my pretentious mother. Let me guess your husband has never had an affair, your sex life is perfect, you have orgasms but you just can’t describe it because you’re too much a lady. 😂 Female fantasy syndrome.
Your wife has my full sympathy. No one warned us women what hell menopause would be…. It almost broke us up but we made it through. Married 20 years and sweet sailing after that huge speed bump. Hang in there!
@@claytonkeever2992 some of it; not all. And, every woman’s experience is a little different. My mother had terrible night sweats going through menopause: soaking the bed and her nightgown night sweats. Me, I didn’t have them. Just a couple hot flashes at night, usually one right when I lay down. Not that bad.
@@susangrande8142 oh my goodness!! I could have written this!! I was blown away and yes, it felt like to hell!!🔥🔥🔥 I experienced exactly what your Mom did and it was the first time that holistic me, went to my Dr and said, "FIX THIS!! GIVE ME ALL THE MEDS"!!! No one had told me how horrific it was going to be or could be!! I felt like all the women in my life had forgotten to mention something um, *very important*!! My Mom didn't have nearly as difficult of a time as I did. The night sweats, insomnia, raging mood swings, the fact that it's 100 times more difficult to lose weight, smh!! And I tried *all* the supplements! I was the last person who'd ever ask for hormone therapy and it didn't even help! Long story short, it took time, I guess it was something I had to experience. 😐😐 A couple of meds did help with symptoms but Lord have mercy!! I should write a book about it so other women aren't blindsided like I was!
@@Rebecca-hc5ju Amen! Married for 46 years, and went through menopause at about 28 years in. It was the absolute biggest test of our marriage. Made it, retired, and now enjoying our lives. Tough, but worth it!
Ive been 'possessed' for eight years now 🥵😡😁😭🥵 You are the most thoughtful human Ive seen address menopause and how it affects us and how much understanding we need. You're not joking about the fan👍 My SO brought me an ice pack and a frozen coconut bar when he saw me turning colors and dripping the other day, and then asked me if I needed anything else. I would move mountains for him, empathy is under-rated. Thank you for knowing that you can be a tough ass dude and an understanding human at the same time. I hope you both get a reprieve soon🌞
I'm going through menopause and it started for me when I was 48. I'm 52 now and it's exactly what he says! I literally feel like I'm possessed by the devil and the hot flashes are NO JOKE!! ohh when will it end!! 😭🥵😵💫

It is. I have this rage inside that's not normal amd I know it's the menopause and the hot flashes, the hair loss, the weight gain. It is miserable! Hope you're feeling a bit less possessed. Im moving this week amd god help anyone e that breaks anything!.
The truth of the matter is my wife went through all the stuff you’ve talking about before the age of thirty, she finally had a hysterectomy. I wasn’t walking on egg shells during this time, more like walking on a moving lava bed. Damn what wonderful memories them times were. Scary as hell actually 😞

Went through menopause for about 10-15 yrs. Started slowly in my mid to late 30’s with a hot flash every 6 months or so. Sneaky ones that you weren’t sure what was happening. Maybe anxiety attack or a heart attacked. Then stuff started ramping up around 43-45 with more frequent hot flashes, crying at commercials or just look someone gave me, night sweats like someone put a furnace under my bed, insomnia for days on end and massive unrelenting periods (waking up to a murder scene in my bed). Finally had medical intervention at 46 and I’m somewhat human again but then the jackass decides he wants a younger model. 🤷🏼♀️
Well, in the bright side, you now function like a completely different model. What a shame that he'll not only miss out on your new outlook, but eventually that newest model will always be at the bottom of mountains you've already climbed. Made me feel better for you 😁
@@missmicheleeexo2269 Why in the hell would I want a younger man. I e already raised two kids who are in their 30’s now. I seriously don’t want to do that again with a lover.
I’m going though menopause, and no one talks about it. Thanks for talking about it in your hilarious way! I almost spit out my pop in my mouth when you said your wife his either possessed by a devil. My best friend says that our department is going through it with me, and we’ll all be lucky if we make it through this alive. 😂. I am on medication for my mood swings. The hot flashes are terrible! I’ve had to put my head in the freezer at work. Keep standing by your wife! You’re doing a good job!
I feel your pain ginger billy mines been possessed by the devil for 10 years now and counting I'm about to have to sacrifice a sheep or lamb or something to get God to remove the demon from her

Billy, I've never been married. This is from my brother in law. When a woman is having hot flashes go the opposite, ice cream. He was a fire fighter so he knows. Love and respect to you both!
Just before this vid, I watched a vid from another RU-vidr heartbreakingly talking about his wife who unexpectedly passed over the weekend. This vid brought a smile back, but also made me realize we all need to cherish our loved ones, spouses or other, as I'm sure Billy here does. He and his wife are so adorable, the love oozes through the screen, I just know she was laughing along with us. RIP to all our lost loved ones.
Are you talking about Steve the Canadian hunker down guy? Im almost positive you are. Ive watched him from time to time for a couple years now, ALWAYS referring to her as beautiful wife as he would go off to sealth camp. Broke my heart watching his video of her passing. I actually prayed for that man last night and i dont even know him. Spend as much time with your loved ones as possible. Not much is too serious, get over it and spend more time loving eachother ❤️
I am going through it and you said it Ginger Billy, that's exactly how I feel, like I'm possessed. It's awful and wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
Everything this man said is true. My wife had a complete hysterectomy at 24 . The menopause lasted years and she was on hormone replacements but it’s never the same. I experienced highs and not lows but negatives during this time with her . It takes time and commitment to get through it all.
I'm not sure if you know the amplitude of the effect you have on people. You're really helping me with laughter with what I'm going thru right now.. Never stop posting videos thank you ! 🤘

4yrs oh honey you're just getting started 😅 I just turned 64 this year and this is the first year without hot flashes and mood swings. I started my menopause in my 30's. As a result of the process I'm now extremely heat sensitive. All in all I'll be praying for you and your wife, get your seat belt on it's gonna be a bumpy ride
Billy is speaking the truth from his heart its horrible,,, i went threw it. And was dont breath on Me having a hot flash ,, its the most awfullest thing ,, hang in there Billy it will end dont let her eat peanut butter it makes them worse good luck little buddy .
I'm on year 14 of menopause 😆. I have central a/c in my bedroom and also a winder a/c unit pointed at the bed, a ceiling fan over the bed, a wall fan pointed at the bed and a stand fan next to the bed...you could hang meat in my bedroom 🤦😆!!
Sounds fantastic!!! Have you heard of a “CoolBot”? The a/c doesn’t go below 63, but with this little nifty gadget, you can make it like a walk-in meat locker, the frozen kind 😁. Enjoy!!!👏🙌
Mine started naturally at around 39. I’m 54 and still have days of full body sweats for absolutely no reason and being ill as a hornet. Due to having had blood clots in both legs and both lungs twice, I’m not able to take any of the drugs that help with menopause…so I suffered BADLY the 1st 8-10 years. It’s bad when you’re standing in a cool shower having a full blown hot flash-slash-night sweat. Then after finally getting out of the shower, having to blow hot air at yourself after applying your makeup so that you can dry your hair and style it. My hair would end up wetter than it was after I’d towel dried it getting out of the shower by the time I finally would give up. Men, and some lucky women, will never understand the struggle of menopause. Poor babies just complain about having to deal with seeing us having mood swings and possibly getting yelled at while we are the ones whose bodies are betraying us. All this after having periods since 12 or 13, carrying children through our pregnancies and all the horrors that can happen while waiting to go through hours and hours and hours of excruciating pain during labor and delivery! (No, I did not have the luxury of epidurals…they weren’t an option in all hospitals when I had my children in the mid 80s). Sorry for the rant. Currently having a lovely hot flash and y’all were the only ones around to suffer my wrath 🤣💀
OMG! Your timing is perfect! I am a 51 year old woman going through it right now - and at the same time I'm dealing with a moody 14 1/2 year old teenage son!! We are both lucky we haven't killed each other yet! My poor hubby works 70 hours a week and is constantly asking for more overtime! lol
I am beginning it now as well. I have a 16-year-old boy and Lawd, he is so moody. I hope we all survive this. I feel like my head is going to spin around sometimes.
Aw. I'm so sorry! Bless yo' heart, darlin'! She evidently got it early because of the lady factory sitch. Love the public service announcement! It was kind of you to share, and her to let you. You'll make it through.
The first time she had a full 360 head rotation in the hallway and said "GET OUT" I did not have this level of advise. I pee'd, pooped and ran out the door. Man I wish I had Ginger Billy back then.
Lmfao. You're great. My guy calls it the snake eyes. Basically I'll give him a very laxed look with zero emotion. He knows hell is right behind it. It don't matter what he does the expression does not change. But my eyes follow him without turning my head at all. So yeah he calls it the snake eyes. It's his only warning to be extra careful. 😂🤣
Menopause is ABSOLUTE PURE HELL for a Woman. My hot flashes feel like I've been filled up inside with gasoline and had a gallon of gasoline poured over me, and someone threw a lit match at me. HOLY SHIT HOT 🔥. Hang in there Ginger Billy and it will be MANY YEARS of this for your Beautiful Wife to endure. There is hormone replacement therapy that will help her. ❤
In my second year of bursting into flames myself...that AC is SACRED. NEVER turn off the AC or the fan. Don't THINK about closing the window in January. I DONT care it's -20 outside. Yeah, that's a thing here, and so it's sheer terror if you close that window. I'm not emotional...but I AM experiencing pretty regular melting.😫
I feel you. Last 2 winters I slept The Whole season (in NorthEast USA-cold in winter!) with windows open. Had snow coming in the window, it still stayed open. I shoveled it off the carpet and interior back out the window. People would comment about how I “left my window open” in January and how it would affect the heating bill 😂. How hilarious!!! Thing about the a/c is, it won’t work below 64/63. I want mine to be in the 50’s! This goes for all a/c’s unfortunately. There’s a work-around for this, in case anyone reading this might be curious/in need. It’s called a “CoolBot.” It’s pricey but you can make your house or room as cold as a meat locker if you so desire! Enjoy!
@@rainsofhealing a good handyman can bypass the thermostat regulator on any ac. In Florida they have them set at 78 in a lot of hotels. People are constantly tinkering with them to get them to work.

LMFAO!! You legit hit the nail on the head…. I went through early menopause a few years back because I had a partial hysterectomy about 12 years ago and holy shit it was rough especially for my husband and I legit had no idea what was even wrong with me for like a year I thought I was losing my mind. Thankful I have a wonderful husband and he dealt with all the horseshit that I was going through and that I put him through. It lasted for a few years but glad it is now over. I am truly blessed he didn’t leave me. But it also showed us both how strong our relationship was and and still is. We have been together for 20/21 years and married for 16. He for sure spent a lot of time outside during that time 😉 🤣. I feel for your wife and you, menopause sucks!!!
It’s not just getting hot. It’s like a super nova that starts from the inside out. It’s a huge wave the rolls but it’s freaking hot. No box fan can fix it. I’ve often thought there should be some scientific experiments on menopausal women and their ability to not get frost bite.
🤣 good description! For me it's not just hot. I tingle (almost but not quite painful) and feel slightly nauseous. I know it's coming when I say to myself "I don't feel good.. " "Oh. Here it comes..." Off with the zip up hoody, on with fan/AC whatever, and wait. I don't wear long sleeves in the winter either
LOL! Very thoughtful announcement. You are hilarious. When I was going thru men-o-pause, you couldn’t get within 3 feet of me, I radiated so much body heat. It wasn’t fun. An inferno from the inside out. Thanks again for the chuckles
