Up to a month ago, Lyles seemed on course to dominate the sprints at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Then the Racers Grand Prix and Jamaica Olympic Trials happened. Is Lyles running scared? Lyles was scheduled to run in the Diamond Leage but has withdrawn from Friday's Monaco Diamond League meeting in order to finetune his preparations for the Paris Olympics, his management team said Wednesday. Lyles, the reigning world 100m and 200m champion, had been due to run in the 200m at Friday's meeting at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.
