Noah Lyles almost broke the 150 meter dash #sprinting World Record set by Usain Bolt. But he did it in a #trackandfield race that almost nobody was able to watch.

Noah is the man. Just accept it.

What separates Noah from the rest of the pack of active sprinters is he has the capability of winning the 60M, 100M, 150m, and 200M events.

Thankfully, Noah's race is all over RU-vid for any fan of track and field sprinting events to watch. So he is still getting wide exposure despite only a few watching it live. And of course the Olympic games is only a few months away so Noah will definitely get lots of worldwide exposure then.

Coach Rob, will look into the how NBC purchasing the broadcast rights to the Olympics killed the popularity of track and field? They exposed the imbalance of supply and demand

They are so many channel in the USA ESPN NBC CBS Fox Sports and you cannot have one of those Station to sponsor the track and field. Something is not right U.S.A when it comes to track and field, there is a lot of international citizen live in this country who love track and field we should be able to find a sponsor come on ABC CBS Fox Sports NBC ESPN we have to promote the sport

😂. C'mon man. I'd love to hear how on earth he's going to drop a quarter of a second in the 100m, which by the way he also needs to be able to get near the 200m. And no, 19.31 is nowhere near 19.19.....

Noah is obviously trying to do more than be a sprinter, he is trying to promote the sport. I think he's on to something. I think maybe Adidas has picked up on that by partnering with him with ATC. The runway, the paparazzi photo-ops, and the straight track are innovations worth trying. Other track clubs will quite likely follow suit as long as a big name sponsor is on board. True, it was on Noah's and TRP's RU-vid channels but as fans, we ought to be thankful to not have to run thru the NBC/Peacock paywall to watch track & field. My only issue with the Atlanta Track Club was the event should've stayed at Centennial Olympic Park rather than at Piedmont Park. Sprint events tend to draw a younger more urban audience than the laid-back Piedmont crowd, which might appreciate more of the middle and long distance events. But this is a purists vs populists debate. Tebogo runs the 300m - not an official event - and track & field applauds the kid. Noah runs the 150m - not an official event - but gets nowhere near the props from the purists. For them, Noah makes too much noise. But I think Noah and the populists say there's no such thing as too much promotion or too much hype because that's how you grow an audience. They just needed a little more marketing. But they've also seen and observed the quiet Tebogo-types - while immensely talented - who don't put fannies in seats except during the Olympics.

Lylys is such a stat padder, it's wild and kinda embarrassing. Bolt would run a random race and break the world record the few times he actually tried while Lyles spends his whole life preparing to try and improve his times to seem close to Bolt. In reality if Bolt was even bothered about his records sheet, he'd have run sub 19.6 every 200m race he ever ran and sub 10 every 100m. His 150m straight was a random comeback race on a miserable, cod day on a wet street track in Manchester 6 few weeks after his car crash. Prime Bolt a few months later probably could have dropped a 14.10. His 150m en-route split to his 200m WR race was freakin' 14.44🫨

Yeah what's fascinating is I don't ever remember Bolt "trying" to break world records. He just did! The only one he truly tried to get was the Beijing 200m. Clearly he wasn't going for the record in the 100m. Bolt even says in many interviews that he didn't go for records at all. It's a subtle but important distinction. Bolt never claimed he was going to run a time. He just shocked everyone when he did. Same cannot be said for current athletes.

If Bolt ran under 19.60 EVERY 200 he ran, he would have had a much shorter career and we may not look at him the same. Bolt was great without the need for the hyperbole.

What's next? Bolt jogged the 9:58 or the 19:19? You all just know to say bs. It's okay to not like bro, but you're trying so hard to discredit a guy that is there for a reason. Oh yes, someone has run 14:35 without trying 😂😂😂 Bolt is retired, you have what you have now, if you don't like it move on (I'm not saying to appreciate it, just don't care about him and that's it or focus on athletes that you like).
