The most invincible move you have is the dodge. You literally have I frames. Can escape "almost"any move a boss throws at you. It's just a matter of timing a patience which in all reality is a skill issue. Learn. Adapt. And try try again. Don't go hollow. That's what these players need to understand.
Is there a theoretical limit on the difficulty? Should every dodge have to be single frame perfect and all enemy attacks 1 shot kills? That would be the best since it's the most difficult, right?
I went in blind, not realising the importance of the new scaling system, as a result I found that I was massively underpowered for each of the boss fights. Of course it was hard then, it would be the same as trying any other soul game without levelling up. I’ve decided to back track using a guide to find some of these upgrade items before progressing any further.
Same, i was confused why the knight on the way to rellana was one shotting me at 60vig so i went to go get more of the fragments and understood how important they are. I thought everyone would realise it and also look for the upgrades. I felt the same way i felt back in ds1 when i went to the skeletons instead of undeadburg and they beat me up.
Anyone who is playing the DLC has beaten some of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring already. They know what fun/fair difficulty should look like, which this doesn't match up with.
The performance issues are only in the last couple of fights. I wouldn't call it problematic, its simply because of what's occurring on screen. I've just finished it, loved my time with it. It just seems difficult to take the negative reviews seriously given how nitpicky they tend to be.
@@jamesn0vaI didn’t get any performance issues and I play on a ps5, also the ps5 people wouldn’t be complaining on the steam page so that’s kinda irrelevant.
Yeah there is a lot of intentionally getting the point wrong going on. Most people are just saying hey, "The bosses are a little overtuned, it's not really fun trying to learn their movesets because they never let off the gas." That is not the same as wanting a difficulty slider or some other nonsense. I've beat the little Yoda dude and the lion boss so far. Really enjoying the game.
Throughout most of the DLC bosses were mostly two-shotting me, even though I always had a reasonable amount of blessings. A good while into it I realized that the upgrades weren't my problem but the fact that I ran around in flimsy little wizard robes and used absolutely no buffs
in my opinion i wish every main boss was as difficult as radahn. i honestly felt like the DLC was a little too easy with how broken we are as tarnished. radahn was the only boss that actually made you have to rethink every strategy in the game to be able to beat him. the one valid criticism for the boss fight imo is the insane lightshow he gives you for one of his attack strings in P2, blocking your vision. but even that you somewhat get use to. i personally loved the DLC and its "difficulty" and cant wait for them to up the anti even more. we have so many tools in this game at our disposal that we need hard/er content to use the said tools on. Thank you Miyazaki once again.
the performance complaints are legitimate criticisms, but also every game releasing recently has been experiencing those that is why you shouldn't preorder the games if you are actually concerned with the possibility of performance issues if not then preorder if you want, but the difficulty is kind of embarrassing when kai cenat is able to beat it just by straight perseverance, if you are a b*tch just say that, also it is literally a dlc to a souls game why are people surprised that it is going to be difficult, its like these people review bombing didn't play the base game all the way through.
I think it may be that some people may be at their limit with Shadow of the Erdtree. i myself have given up as I recently restarted and it took hours for me to beat Margit and I had 40 Vigor. The process of going to get gear and then trying to learn weren't fun and then I felt no reward or accomplishment for beating him. Some people might have bought the game without knowing it isn't for them but were able to beat it, I am not and will not try again. I can play Sekiro which feels like Fromsoft at their best with how much more options I get in combat and a learning process far more engaging. I can't justify spending hours just to be strong enough where I can stumble through the fight with summons over and over till I get lucky enough to win.
@@enigma9273 Yeah lol, but it doesn't feel worth it. There was no relief or feeling for accomplishment, which means the whole idea behind the game doesn't exist for me. Elden Ring basically becomes a game without a purpose since the challenges are fun and the reward isn't worth it. I'm not trying it again, be sticking to Sekiro, Bloodborne, Lies of P, and Another Crab's Treasure. Those games are just amazing the whole time. I hate open worlds and Fromsoft haven't made it enjoyable for me. Minecraft is really the only instance where I don't feel it negatively impacted my enjoyment of the game.
i think the people who hate on the diff is the newer players who have never played a fromsoft DLC. yes it is a bit hard but its honestly not that bad. the game has almost infinite ways of making it easier. from bleed to summons to just exploring and getting the tree fragments still finding it too hard ? get the Chicken leg (bloodfiends arm) and steamroll every boss without any efford. there is no reason why you would say its too hard unless you are trying to fail. now tech issues are valid especially on last boss and the green area and should and could be complained about.
Bosses aren't too difficult it's just too tedious and not fun to engage with. Only 2 out of 30 are fun, otherwise it's just a chore. Final boss is legit the worst final boss of any Souls Series idk what they were smoking when they made & greenlit that boss utter nonsense.
