Is Starfield In Trouble ? 

They have to rework space travel. What's the point of flying around a galaxy if it's just a fast travel simulator? Just a really really terrible idea

Unless they completely rework space travel and exploration, I dont see anyone coming back

They couldn't release a dlc until they fixed the save ID form save issue, which was fixed with the last update. Imagine making a game bigger when the save was already not working with the base game. If we don't hear something soon then I'd be worried.

also modders aren't quitting, this is just one team who made the online mod for skyrim, which will most likely come back to mod it once the kit releases.

I love this game, but it’s missing way too much in the way of legit space travel, relationships, creation kit, detail, etc. They could save this, but it would be an all hands on deck type deal. Todd Howard loves this game, so it might hang in their long enough for shattered space to bring a few more players back. Right now, the modding community are the real heroes. They have this game on life support.

Kind of need to remember when the older titles were released as context matters and define the stats. Saying a single player game is in trouble kinda means nothing when the people that want and bought the game have it. Not played this for quite awhile now as I started to get very bored meeting the same type of place and enemies on different planets, to also find after grinding and collecting various items throughout the normal playthrough to then find the endgame makes you lose everything before you move on to new game play, so I thought what is the point!!!!!!!!, moved back to Fallout 76 and 4

Strange. I seem to remember mod authors publicly backing out because the game was a buggy dumpster fire and in such as state they couldn't make the mods they wanted to make.

Be positive or be out of a job. People really just need patience. The core is great. They're in a good spot, where they can add detailed systems and other content. All the negatively from People is just hurting this.. It's the first one in the series. Fallout 1 and ES1 weren't that great in their days. I can see a starfield 2 in 5 years.

To bad that the game on xbox didn’t get FSR 3 that would’ve been a much-needed feature they need to the fix frame rate I notice it goes down sometimes

There's too much wrong with it, without a complete overhaul it's trash. Empty boring planets, no vehicles, no space travel, poor weapon choices, annoying followers, poor quests, wokeness, ugly NPC's, bullet sponge enemies, everyone is essential can't kill named NPC's to change outcomes. Everything that made their open world games interesting in the past is GONE..

I'm awaiting the quality of life patches they announced along with the expected performance/ bug fixes, then im start my big play through doing the full new game plus game play and the DLCs as they come

Still have the empty spacecraft landings for easy steals and the inaccessible bug with them.

I am on Xbox and have been playing daily. Presently playing NG12. For the past 5 - 8 days the loot pool has been terrible, legendary almost non existent. If I am doing several spawn points on high level planets, Fermi , Bohr or any others. Ships will spawn 1 or 2 times at landing and then the other times no ships spawn. I go back into the ship each time and pick a new landing zone. For me when I started New Game Plus I expected that it would be like starting a new game and some things that commonly happen might change. Example when I have ships spawn at landing zones I have had basically 4 of the same Class A ships for all my playthroughs. Vista 3 both Freestar and UC, Claymore 3, Wight 3 and Spacer version and lastly rare occasion a Prophecy 3. That is it, No Voyagers Reefs or any other Class C ships spawn and rarely appear in Space. Now this past week the crashes or lockups are occurring each play session, say a play session is 2 hours. Any time I load to a planet it is glitchy or stuttering as hell. Like frames are dropping consistently. Between the loot problems and the random screen freezes I am playing less each time. Starting to get the impression that when Microsoft announced layoffs at Bethesda now they just don't give a shit.

still waiting for the temple/power bug to be fixed... cant get all the powers (missing supernova). Hate the long long distance between POI really need another mode of transport like a buggy or a hovercraft.

I hope I'm wrong but I think we won't hear about the CK and DLC for a while

I love starfield. I played way over 200 hours last year. I took a break after that to play other games (totally normal). Actually, starfield encouraged me to try out fallout and skyrim. I will absolutely be back to starfield when there is DLC and mods. I'm sure plenty of players have a similar story. We will be back for DLC

I don't know how much of an outlayer I am, but I've owned the game from the start and never downloaded it. It's BGS and MS, so I knew "It just works" from the start 🤣 More seriously I have actually been; 1 finishing my current game (heavily modded Skyrim); and 2, waiting for the first serious content drop that wasn't about fixing the inevitable undercooked bug infested mess that has the AAA prefix. Starting to worry now though. MS has it's greed monkey fingers all over the gaming industry and it's been looking pretty bleak due to investors rather than gamers running how game studios operate.

creation kit is what keeps the game going, as long as that comes out, the game will be fine

Congrats to you all. MONTHS after launch you get the FRAME RATES you SHOULD HAVE had from the start. It was possible because you're getting it NOW. Unless there was some biiigg leap in technology, in the last few weeks , that FINALLY allowed it. yeah right.

They do owe some transparency I they need more time ok just keep the community informed they really suck at that I like the game I just hope they don't dump it!

The post launch needed a lot of fixes which came somewhat. The content is needed badly and it hasn’t delivered. The post launch plan for this game fell flat and the work ethic and communication is piss poor. I wanted this game to be a success but overall still this game is a 6/10. They need to over deliver in a big way to gain the masses back or this will be a fail overall.

It's been six months and they haven't even gotten mod tools out yet shit is Maka.

why do you guys avoid including fallout 76?

Starfield is a good game, it's just not a great one. Not to discredit the amount of work and effort that went into the game, I just found it lacking in some key areas. The best feature in the game is the ship builder. It's innovative and very fun to use, but when most space travel is reduced to cutscenes, it makes all the effort put in building your dream ship almost pointless. It's a massively missed opportunity. With that said, I don't think that's the biggest issue. The overall Bethesda design is. We all know that Bethesda games have unique "style" or "design". It has given their games a certain charm, and I believe that is big part of what has made their games so beloved over the years. Howbeit, I think their unique style has finally become outdated and will no longer help carry their games in the future like they have in the past. Overall, I believe that Bethesda truly needs to reinvent themselves, going as far as making their next game not feel like a Bethesda game.

After I saw the fast travel in space, I deleted the game, got a refund and I'll never play again. Simple as that. The fast travel completely destroyed the feeling of having any kind of adventure in space.

Yep..this is exactly Bethesda I know lazy...concentrate on pointless updates no one ask for..instead fixing main game issues..no wonder they loose 300 000 steam players in 6month. yeah Bethesda you deserve this...🤣🤣

The game is unfixable because it's the main story with the powers and starborn that really stink to high heaven. Worst drivel ever. And I spend 80 hours on this game so I know. To fix the game, they would have to scrap the story, delete the starborn, and star from scratch.
