Is the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro RS convertible ALMOST a Muscle Car? 

My brother just took delivery of this exact 2021 RS, 3LT, wild cherry red tint coat convertible Except he ordered the black interior. The mustang convertible doesn’t compare. The mustang top is exposed when down. You see the arms and it collects leaves. Mustang doesn’t drive like a sports car. As you stated , the camaro is a true American sports car . Sports cars don’t have much storage . The new red has the wow factor . The 6 is smooth and powerful . I hope 2023 is not the last year. Excellent review .

Great video and review...so nice to see a review of the V6! I have a 2018 RS V6 hardtop and used the money I saved over the SS to mod the RS, one of which was getting an axle-back Borla Atak exhaust, plus a bunch of engine and interior dress-up items...including an RS badge on the steering wheel :-) . Everyone who hears it is shocked when I tell them it's a V6. Unless you're tracking the Camaro, its extra performance is over-the-top for street driving...the RS is the best of both worlds: Great value and great performance (on regular gas)!

We have a 2 month old 2021 V6 with the Wild Cherry and RS package along with a sunroof and a few other bells and whistles. Just a gorgeous vehicle that is amazingly fun to drive. Great performance for what we need and using regular gas is a huge bonus !!!!! Loving every kilometre we drive her :)

That engine is such a music, i have to say chevrolet are nailing the engine sounds at v6 and v8 both are such a good sounding engines, definitely love it! =]

The V6 offers outstanding performance for 90% of Camaro buyers, plus one big advantage...it runs on regular gas. In many areas that represents $1 per gallon difference versus premium gas that is required with the V8.

Getting this coupe in a convertible is very strange and looks weird to me, to make it short hardtop makes it more aggressive

I been saying this a lot, but the I4/V6 Mustang and Camaro are the best new performance/sports cars for the money here in the US. Its especially true if you want RWD. You just can't compete with the price and performance. You can find base models in the low 20K range because of incentives. I don't get caught up in whether they are true 'muscle' cars. They are damn good performance cars no matter what.

The Convertibles are my favorite Camaros of all time. One of my Aunts love the Camaros too.

Car sounds really good. The active exhaust makes a huge difference on these cars though. Can tell it carries the speed in the corners very well

That RS is faster than a challenger RT lol I'm also 6 ft and it's a bit cramped, such a nice looking car though!

A few years ago, I saw a gray haired boomer in a silver Camaro convertible (the pre-2016 gen) driving through a shopping center parking lot. It had a great stereo. He had Ozzy era Black Sabbath cranked way up! 😄😄

I have driven 2 of these in a convertible and 4 coupes. They handle so much better than the mustang like you said. And the v6 is faster than most think, sounds good, but sounds amazing with the quad tip active exhaust! And the convertible is my favorite over the coupe because no blind spots. Especially being 6.4" tall

I think the Camaro RS convertible is the perfect Florida car. You can drive it with the top down a lot and cancel out the blind spot issue. It's got plenty of power but I imagine the V8 is insane. Awesome review! Lori just rocking it on the cam!!

my local enterprise rents this, ive taken it out a couple times and love it. its drives much better then the ecoboost.

Bought this exact model in 2022 for my wife. Except it has all black interior, rims, and has the performance exhaust and suspension. We love this little car! It's our fun vehicle and we only use it during the summer months. Wasn't easy to get though. We ordered it through our local dealer in AZ and a month later they told us they had to cancel our order due to lack of parts. Thanks covid! Anyway, I happen to see one for sale in Baltimore, MD that had 3000 miles on it. Almost the exact same thing we ordered! It was meant to be, lol. We drove across the country to get it and the rest is history. Best purchase we ever made..... It is so fun to drive! We have turned our "drives" into an experience now and quite often, the drive is better than the destination.

Still doesn't sound like a V8 Camaro, or a Mustang GT but sounds waaaaay better than a Mustang EcoBoost.

Now that's a nice pony car! The refresh is growing on me, not going to lie. The rear end is Fine, the front ends are good for the most part, only the SS I think could've been done a little better on the refresh, the 2020 SS certainly looks a lot better then the 2019 SS..but I still love the OG styling better (2016-2018), luckily the ZL1 front end was left alone and still looks awesome and down right sexy!

Joe, i bought this exact camaro convertible, RS, 3LT, 6 cylinder in wild cherry red but i chose the black leather. The RS wheels come with ride flat tires. I have a 2019 in steel gray. Also a great color. But the wild cherry is amazing because it changes color depending on the lighting. I test drove mustangs and Camaros with every engine option and loved the camaro 6. Sounds great, very powerful and feels lighter then the 8. Plus better gas Mileage. The mustang convertible looks like crap without the tanau cover. The mustang convertible down exposes the canvas and the arms which if you don’t snap the manual plastic sides in, gathers leaves and dirt in the arms . Total deal breaker . Plus you can’t operate the hood unless the mustang is stopped. The ride and handling is way better then the mustang. The interior is also more modern. The camaro is just pure fun driving . The only option i wish camaro offered is dynamic cruise control for my long trips. Great review as always. Keep the jokes coming . Loved the cream one.

Love the interior color. The first thing I thought about what the RS stood for the was “Real Slow.” but it did sound pretty good for a 6 cylinder & seemed pretty peppy.

I'm thinking about ordering one. My brother has a gt mustang with the gen 3 coyote motor and I just don't want to have to run premium in that damn 6.2 liter when it's like 6 dollars a gallon in Michigan. I think the 3.6 v6 has plenty of power for just cruising around. Plus you can just run 87 in it with better gas milage

It may not have the horsepower but has the looks. I could see cruising in this ride picking up the ladies! All show and no go has its perks!👍😍

Good review! Why would a 3LT trim RS not have Brembos & dual mode exhaust(NPP)?? Especially at that price point. A 2SS can be had for less. All be it not a convertible but still.

They should have offered the RS package with a 5.3 V8 let’s say 410 HP 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸still make the SS superior with the 6.2 with 460 HP ,and ZL1 the top dog !!Remember the late 80’s early 90,s RS package had a optional 305 V8 ....now the entry level should have the V6 just my opinion lol...Great video as always brother !!enjoy some Turkey 🦃 tomorrow Happy Thanksgiving to you,and your family ....

If you want a clean trunk lid without the spoiler and the antenna you lose the rearview mirror camera and the radio...very clever GM.... great review though!!

I have to say that Im with you. I love old school look. Wish they made a more 69 camaro . I would love to see them bring back real chrome and for gas mileage they could use the newer engines. Im just partial to the original camaros. I think thats why the Challenger is selling soo well. BTW is it true that 2023 is the last year for the Camaro?

always loved thee 3600 GM motor is a workhorse mated to Manual transmission is PERFECT to convertible in Camaro that has all the visibility available vs. hardtop model. LOVE IT - thee price is rather affortablee given a cruiser v6 when you already have a v8 and just wanna row through gears quietly. 410HEMI stroker gets little too loud for me to dailydrive otherwise a V6 RS with 5speed is on horizon to come watching this video

my previous car was mustang eco boost 2017 model i sold it after 3 years now i own 2 days ago a chevy camaro ... in terms of driving quality camaro wins in terms of options and interior fancy option mustang wins ... overally ... i prefer camaro

I think Ford made a mistake by eliminating the V6. Those ecoboost are fast but in the long run you’ll have issues.

I been on websites building cars. And it actually came down to a Camaro 3LT or the Camaro LT1. With all my personal research, either way I’m gonna be happy. And the Camaro has the best V6 out of the three (plz don’t straight pipe it.

Just ordered my 2022 convertable. They don't call it wild cherry tintcoat anymore its call radiant red tintcoat but it's basically the same thing. I got the 3lt v6. I'm sick of these gas prices. I've been running premium in my eldorado for 8 years now. 335 hp is plenty for me. And they are discontinuing the camaro
