Is the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro LS a BETTER car to BUY than a NEW Subaru BRZ? 

I love this car I just bought mine, for 4 cylinders is enough I don’t race, I go more for the camaro iconic looks! I love it! 2021 1LS

If I were a first time buyer I would pick the Camaro. Hate that it’s being discontinued. Maybe it’ll be back someday in a different form. It’s hard to believe Pontiac’s been gone that long. Thanks Joe and Lori. Nicely done! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

I just bought a new red hot ls with manual for under msrp. I wasn't too excited about the turbo four until I drove one. It has the same 0-60 as my LT1 C4 corvette. Fun, quick, comfortable, nice looking car for the price of a loaded corolla. I like that it's not loud, very light and nimble. I looked at the new 86, I think you get a lot more for the money with the camaro.

I was thinking the same thing Joe - I have an '87 IROC Z w/305 TPI 5-speed and this would beat both my Camaro and my buddies '86 5.0 Mustang GT by almost a full second in the 1/4! And we used to think our cars were pretty bad ass for a stock vehicle back in the day...crazy!

Great opportunity to get a stick while you still can. I like this grille better than the SS... Would rip out the back seats, upgrade the wheels and rear diffuser.

I recently sold my 2017 Camaro Turbo 1LT and placed an order for my dream car today, a 2022 Camaro SS. I loved my RS but I’ve always craved the Big V8 of the SS. The 4 cylinder Camaros aren’t bad and are much better if you mod them like I did. However that V8 itch of mine wasn’t scratched until today. Always love the Camaro vids.

I got mine otd 21767 in march 2020. I consider myself lucky. It still puts a smile on my face every time I drive.

For me, camaros look amazing...from very specific angles. Other angles it looks slow and bulky.idk if it's just me

Great video. I would get the RS with the 20" wheels. They used to have a lot of them advertised for $18k in 2019. Would love to get one as a daily driver when all this crazy pricing is over.

I'm just partial to the Camaro SS,but any Camaro is a better selection than the BRZ or GR86.

The price is affordable... It's nice for the price... When I see this car it's giving bachelor or college student .. Definitely not a family car, but great for sunday afternoon's... or date night.

I bought a new 2017 2.0T RS 8 speed and loved it, but the V8 envy kicked in and after about 11 months I traded for a 2018 SS 6 speed. People will say I'm crazy, but I actually enjoyed the RS more because the front end is so much lighter than the SS and the steering and handling was phenomenal. It was obviously great on the SS too, but I quickly grew tired of draining a tank of premium every 5 or 6 days and it went through a set of tires in less than 15k miles. To this day I still think about buying another 2.0T because for the money, it can't be beat.

I would take this over the BRZ but I actually would wanna have something more powerful like a V8.

I ordered a 22 1LS Camaro, these cars are def more sports car than old school muscle the chassis and steering is so good! And I just love the way they look.

My favorite year of this car was the 60s cars. You can't beat that V8 by the way.

I have a 4cylinders turbo black chevy camaro the hours power 274 is Awesome I have the standard model but I add somethings like a bumper lip from a ZL1 bumper lip a Spoiler from a ZL1 to make it standout an it's Awesome.

I test drove both the BRZ and Camaro as well as the mustang and challenger. I got the BRZ, it handles like a razor and doesn't have that floaty boat feeling. I put a throttle booster and it and it's fast enough now

its a better buy if you want a bit more power and space. personally i hate how i feel sitting in one. the low roof and front, rear, and side glass makes me feel like im trapped in the car. the 86 is smaller but the interior works better imo. and the car is more balanced despite being slower.

Any 4 cylinder, v6, or ev with the Camaro nameplate on it isn’t a muscle car but for me I would go all the up the food chain and get me myself a zl1 1le with a 6 speed manual. Always fun to row through your gears

I would like to see this car in more of a retro 80s, 90s retro or just something different all together. I liked it when it 1st came out, but now it seems way to big for the amount of space this car offers. They really feel cramped on the inside but huge from behind the wheel!

93 z28 horsepower on half of engine , not bad at all . But I rather get the BRZ or 86 instead of the camaro unless it's a V8 . Used to own a 87 iroc z , 94 Z28 , 97 TA ws6 and drove the 2019 zl1 . You just can't get the feel and the sound that only comes from a V8. Lol .Great review!

The Camaro is a hard car to get new right now due to limited production. Relatively rare, Alpha platform underpinnings, emphasis on styling over function, availability of a manual. This is a cool sports car that should hold its resale very well or even appreciate over time...if you can get one.

Disclaimer: This is one of the Longest comment yet (Yikes 😅). Hey Joe and Lori (and everyone else who read this comment) how are you. Thanks Joe for bringing us some base camero power, with even the base manual transmission. Now I personally wouldn't get the base trim, but would for a trim higher trim with at least leather seats. But the only zonk of the Camaro and the not related mustang is that the base engine is a I4, now I'm not expecting a V8, but it's annoying that before the base engine was a V6, but now you have to pay to have a V6/V8. The only good thing about it is that it's more powerful and "economically" (on gas and budget), but what is the consequence "exhaust note". So Joe who already loves the Challenger have a other reason to love it is that the base model challenger still have a V6 and something that Joe doesn't like is that it's the only "muscle car" that offer awd. I mean the only benefit is that it's better on snow then rwd. But the V8s of all of these muscle cars (or pony cars for the Camaro and Mustang) are rwd. But which of the 3 would you choose? (Its already obvious)

I’d go this camaro! I own it, saves gas, and it’s great for long rides, very comfortable, and fast enough. No noise to distract my neighbors and the cops don’t hear me coming down the road, for ticket time. Over all this is a fine piece of machinery and well constructed!😎😎😎😎✌️✌️

Oh the Camaro LS. My wife and I got one of these for our 6 year old niece. Her little brother blows her doors off on his OneWheel but she’ll get him when we upgrade her to one of those little plastic electric cars!!

Good on you Joe for trying to keep speaking on behalf of Camaro, Lord knows GM wont lift a finger to market less than ZL1 trim. This still competitive and competent trim level that sadly is all but six feet under instead of even on the radar in the sport compact frey. Imagine how many of these would have sold to our generation if the cheap Camaro was packing LT1 power in 1993.

If I’m going for a camaro, then I’ll go for the 4 cylinder snailcharged banger camaro or v6 camaro than the v8 ss camaro because I’m mostly familiarized with the ls and or v6 camaro front ends than the ss or zl1 camaro front end.

I have to drive a new BRZ still, but the Alpha platform chassis that underpins the Camaro is VERY good

For some people that our posting misinformation ,Chevrolet stop producing the camaro in 2002 and reintroduced the camaro in 2009 to go on sale to the public in 2010. As far as this 4 cylinder Camaro performance goes which is pretty impressive all I can say is go and take a look at the 0 to 60 times stats on the Chevrolet web page and do your comparison there between model years and you'll find that even the V6 stats are pretty impressive. Technology has come a long way from 4 speed to 8 and 10 speed automatics in lighter-weight.

Ok 12v needs to be there. Using an air compressor at the track. You want to fine tune your tire pressure’s. That cord is only so long. But it’s long enough because your 12v is in the middle of the cabin. You can easy reach all four corners.

The Camaro is such a value in it's output and weight class, nevermind it's great chassis. I'd buy one, change the wheels, lower it, do an RS lip spoiler, and probably a nice combo of OEM graphic decals, and Voila, you have a much more defined looking Camaro/sports coupe on the cheap than anything else you could buy at this power level. Lets face it the Toyobaru is crazy overpriced for what you get, considering it's finally the product it should have been 8 years ago. It's far from bad, but the forgotten stalwart Camaro has now been kicking it in the balls even as the new one bows on the same basic principals and price point for years. Too bad the 1LE is now cancelled for less than 8cyls.

How's the turbo-lag from a dead stop? Reason I'm asking is because a few years ago I test drove a Mustang with a 4 banger and manual transmission. The turbo-lag from a dead stop was horrible!!

I've driven the Camaro but I have the New Brz and there are soo many reasons why the BRZ is a better car, 1. Looks waaay better 2. Handling is insane 3. Drivers Visibility! And it's a head turner! where no one cares about the camaro anymore!

I would go for the camaro just for the fact that you can get a sunroof with it. I can't believe how many sportscars and coupes aren't offered with a sunroof, targa, or t-tops anymore.
