The new Camaro SS is here and there are some updates. Under the hood is the 6.2L V8 pumping out 455 HP & mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Camaro SS has a revised exterior that keeps the muscle car look. On the inside you will find lots of tech including a digital rear view mirror. Has Chevrolet gone in the right direct with the Camaro SS and made the right changes?

I was never a fan of convertibles but if I lived in Florida or California I might consider one. The new front end looks better, but I don’t like the clear taillights or placement of the SS badge either. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Nice job as usual! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

I love your videos. You do your home work buddy. I appreciate that you actually know what you are talking about.... anyhow..... a couple years ago I commented on one of your videos on the 2019 Camaro SS. You made it very clear that you were not a fan of the front face redesign. I said it might be a future classic as it might be a 1 year only model? How do you feel about the 2019 SS now? Just wondering. I'm 52 years old, not a kid. I know everything there is to know about Camaro's..... at least I think I do?? Keep up the good work on videos.

Love the video once again ! If there is s chabce to get a new 2020 ss 1le on the channel I'm sure the viewers would love to see it, as would I! Just to see How the 2020s look equipped with that package. How do you feel it would look if the part of the tail light that runs into the front grill get blacked/wrapped so the appearance resembles the 16'18 lights? I plan on getting the newer ss1le gen next year hopefully and would probably do that bcuz I'm not a huge fan of them either. Keep it up the good stuff!

You are so very right about the SS 1LE. The challenge is the union strike and all of the assembly lines stopping. Stay tuned though it will come!

I agree with everything, I’m glad Chevy put the bow tie where it should of been. However I was a fan of the blacked out center in the bumper but nothing a good wrap can’t fix

Awesome Joe, I’ll love this car, have been looking at the SS and ZL1 1LE versions myself to get one. What I like more on the SS than the GT is the transmission, way better feeling IMO. Great video Joe 👍👌

Love my 19 SS. Put a Hurst short throw in and the temec 6060 6 spd is nearly perfect. I do agree the clutch is a little on the anemic side, just engages too early imo. Could use a hair more travel but over all the 6 spd in the Camaro is much nicer than the Mustang’s. The Camaro has much better steering wheel feedback as well. Mustang feels kinda numb as far as feel from the front end. Biggest ding for the Camaro is the electronic e-brake. There is no reason a sports car (especially a manual) should have anything but a manual e-brake. That’s honestly the only thing I don’t like with my Camaro.

Absolutely beautiful slight revision for the 2020 Chevy Camaro SS ❤ it. Love Camaros, Mustang's, Challenger's especially ❤❤. I have a special place in my heart for Dodge Challenger's idk why but it's the ultimate American Classic that hasn't changed since 1970. Even has the original Body Colors including, B5 Blue, GoMango, Sublime etc..... Man oh man Joe would love to see a 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1 day PLEASE Joe if u can every get your hands on that beautiful 485 HP Beast ❤❤☠☠. Thanks Joe ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.

the fuel economy ratings you gave are off, it loses 3 mpg in the manual, its 16/24/19 in the manual and 16/27/20 in the auto. What surprises me is no dynamic fuel management yet, it would probably up FE ratings by 1mpg across the board, guess the manual option is what kills that.

Got a sweet spot for Camaro's!! (my 1984 HO was tons of fun) Think I may buy a 2nd car for fun.... but gotta test drive the Mustang 350 first. I like the look of the Camaro better (i think) but the Mustang has more function (trunk wise) Decisions!?!?! But guess that is what the SUV is for. **Great review Joe!

How's the clutch on the Camaro? Is it stiff? Is the clutch distance long or short?

It’s the easiest lightest clutch I’ve ever driven. You could actually learn how to drive a manual with this clutch, and with active rev match you might as well be driving an auto - downshifts are smoooooth. Got my 2020 SS blacked out 10 speed auto in august and definitely prefer the auto over the manual.

The 2018 Camaro looks far better than the 19 and 20. Glad my favorite camaro, the ZL1 hasn't changed design. That alpha chassis is an outstanding handler and when you go convertible, you get rid of the horrible blind spots of the coupe. Top down anyway.

Camaro SS is a fantastic car. So much low end torque, which is more useable on the street. This, coming from a 3 time Mustang owner currently driving a 21’ GT PP1 in Oxford White with Showstopper Red interior, 6 speed of course. I’m really jonesing for an SS , especially with it going bye bye. But Joe Raiti, the Coyote engine with the Active Valve exhaust system is the best sound in the game. The LT1 sounds great, the Coyote sounds better…

Joe im a Chevy kind of guy love the camaro most def still gone get my hands on one next year. That convertible is nice but dodge does have an convertible it's a 392 scatpack convertible check out the dodge up there in Florida & see on the show room floor or ask them but they do have maybe a limited edition convertible I seen one here in Charlotte.

So as far as actual changes are concerned, it's only the front bumper bar being painted to match the cars color and the placement of the Chevy logo on the grill and that's it, right? Or am I over simplifying things..

@Uncut SushiRoll For someone under 25 yrs. & it's a 2 door.... A LOT!! I would guess no less than $400 a month? If you want full coverage...and you do on a new car! I had a new sports car for my 15th bday... and another for my 18th and it was VERY high!!

@@uncutsushiroll9565 They are charging me $330 a month for my 17 year old daughter's 4 door sedan!! Sports cars have very high insurance even for those over 25. You will probably be closer to $450+ (also being male)
