I build these everyday!!! I work at TMMI in princeton indiana and can say firsthand lots of though lots of time went into this model change hope everyone loves it!!
I tried putting in a order for the ruby pearl with the red interior thru the dealer and was told that there was no production on something that has to deal with the driving of the car hence the order wasn't accepted. Do u have any info on that plzz.
Toyota should have went with a panorama sunroof not sure why none of their vehicles come with it since you work for a Toyota maybe you can tell me why none of their vehicles have panorama sunroof.....the design is beautiful should have gone with double exhaust pipes on both sides. And a Sporter steering wheel
I'm happy to see your channel grow, Raiti. You obviously work your ass off making these vehicle reviews so informative. The Highlander XSE is a sweet ride.
I walked in to look at 2018 Highlander, and walked out with a 2021 XSE. This looks fantastic on the video, and was even better in person. This video sums it up perfectly!
Which dealer did u made that order thru. Tried getting the same combo frm the dealer from February order was sent in to be manufactured but was told order couldn't be done because of some parts issue almost 3 months later
The Highlander XSE looks really, really good in silver. This would be my number one choice of color because it shows off the body lines, and it's super easy to keep clean.
We are looking for a sporty ride and have been looking around so what should we expect to pay total for something like you bought, if you don’t mind me asking. Additionally, anything you do and don’t like? Thanks so much and hope you’re still enjoying it!!!
Toyotas new design language is definitely growing on me. I'll have to keep this in mind for the Mrs. practical with just the right amount of sporty touches. V6 too! Honestly that interior is reason enough to get it lol
Over 500,000 subscribers! Way to go and we'll deserved. As usual, you continue to be an absolute machine at the amount of content you put out. Thanks to you and your lovely wife for the great content.
This highlander should be called the stormtrooper addition the wide body flares remind me alot of the stormtrooper helmet. I would love to see it in white and black. Keep up the good work awesome review as usual.
Just got the 2022 Highlander XSE without the red trim, so far love it, I wish the 8" screen was bigger bit of a downer. Very happy with the power and the handling is just outstanding.
The first few seconds of your face when you first accelerated says it all lmao! you were expecting to be floored and thrilled, only you were waiting on the engine to build up it's rpm and power.
This is an amazing SUV, the ride is very smooth. One of my friend have it and I’m very impressed how luxurious it feels from the inside. With the new SUV/cars now it’s almost like you won’t really need a luxury cars anymore.
We got our highlander XSE ‘22 FWD and no JBL but we are in love with it!!! The videos and pictures don’t do it justice!!! I actually prefer the 8 inch screen.
I recently went over my first 10,000 miles on my Highlander XSE. Great handling midsize SUV and good performance from the 3.5 liter V-6; after 9 months of ownership I made the right choice.
We just bought a 2021 Highlander Platinum Hybrid for $45k with heated and cooled seats. 36 MPG and we fell in love with it. Got the Blue color, I forget what they call it, buts a dark blue.
The exterior is surprisingly good looking. I'm loving that interior. I'm on the bench with any sort of sunroof, not very practical. When it comes to manually shifting, I prefer the shifter itself, but that reverse order, like the rev counter in a Genesis, it's backwards lol. The back seat may remain folded, tyvm. As soon as you mentioned horsepower, I thought it needed a bit more, but being a bit tossable makes up for that. Thanks for all you do Lori, great video!
You are the best car explainer researcher and I love how you show every detail...I go to you for any car search I need.....keep it coming!!!! All the way from Queens and I'm always in Tampa!
My grandma had a 2008 Highlander. That thing went nearly 300,000 miles without any major issues and would probably still be going to this day if some A-Hole hadn't pulled out and hit it, totaling it. My dad had a Toyota Truck from the 80s and it is still going to this day. We've had excellent experiences with Toyota.
I have a 2009 with 178k. I need to get the hybrid model. I have to drive into the city from the burbs and need better gas mileage. Still thinking about a Telluride if any are available.
Just bought a 2022 hyundai santa fe limited hybrid. Seriously best car ever. We test drove and researched over 10+ cars. Hyundai is in a league of its own. Plus a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty to throw in the mix.
I am now buying vehicles based on the amount of snacks and food it can hold. Perfect. I stopped a dealership today asked how many twinkle and chips the car could hold in front and back for the kids. Salesman had stun look in his eyes..lol
I see a lot of Camry XSE s being traded in for the new Highlander XSE. I’m a BMW X5 owner, and I must admit that the new Highlander XSE has hit the nail on the head in its overall looks and price range.
It’s a nice vehicle and I like the color combo, but I can’t get past the quarter panel bulge. I noticed the same style element on the Supra also. Thanks for the review Joe. Nice job as always and Lori also!! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
wait for the refresh👍🏼 maybe they'll give a ventilated seats upgrade to the 9 inch screen or just give you the massive one I kind of like the climate control better on now smaller screen
Can you check out the 2022 QX55 from Infiniti? My friend wants to get one, but he needs an amazing review that can tell you whether or not that vehicle is good or not. Thanks!
AC vents in the back of the center console are useless for rear facing car seats. This is the reason why we got the Highlander versus other suvs with ac vents behind the center console.
Driving a 2021 Highlander rental right now. Pros: The SUV is solid and had a good ride. Cons: The engine spools up when pedal is floored and then does this delayed leap forward but then doesn’t follow thru. The cruise control is not intuitive. Toyota is horrible on intuitive function of their electronic controls of the car and even the NAV SAT. I put in an address and couldn’t easily find out how to end the drive. The NAV kept directing me to a location that I didn’t need anymore. Imagine driving home and the NAV telling you to do a U-turn every 10 seconds. Their safety system is bad too.
Just got myself one, white pearl on the outside 2 tone chocolate/vanilla interior. It’s a beauty and so fun to drive! I’ve owned a Ford Explorer, and a Dodge Durango and the Highlander is my fave hands down! Thanks for the review!
I really like the look of this in the XSE model. I love the more sporty look it gives to it. I think this looks way better than the regular Highlander. I do think that red interior is really cool looking on this silver color. The only thing about the red is I think it might be a color I really like at first but after awhile get really tired of it. I do wish they would make this XSE model into a hybrid kind of like the XSE in the Rav4 that is a hybrid. Do you think they would ever make this XSE into a hybrid.
I was driving behind a Jeep Cherokee today and the rear window wiper was obviously broken and hanging straight down. I immediately thought, I’ll have to “zonk” that. 😂
Joe and Lorithanks for bringing this TOYOTA HIGHLANDER XSE AWD to us.. I dig the exterior and interior colors! A great COMBINATION. Joe and Lori you both are a great combination, A TREMENDOUS TEAM! Joe, I agree with all you stated here LOVE how you show and tell us about this vehicle ( I LOVED the show and tell as a child and still do!) Queen Lori thanks for all you do, Joes DOLL, A DARE DLL, YOu are tremendous! WE ASKED FOR IT. WE GOT IT TOYOTA! Thanks again guys and THE COMMANDER! will see you on another ride,, RIGHT ON AND RIDE ON!It as usual is my pleasure to share this on my blog and all other sites I travel!
I REALLY DIG these SPECIAL, SECRET LOCATIONS!LOL. It would be GREAT if a HOSTESS TWINKIE truck could ROLL up on the scene while you guys are doing a review!!
I Agree with You Joe. What happend with the 3rd Row being all Black? It doesn't Match. It would of been Nice of they would of put Red Stitching on the Stearing Wheel as well.
When this particular body style first came out, I didn't like it but it has grown on me and this particular style that you are showcasing looks pretty nice. Also glad they have a traditional V6 for that great linear power instead of all the Turbo Jazz you see around these days. I mean the Turbo's have their place but in a SUV like this, I still feel a V6 is the proper engine.
I just bought the 2022 highlander and this is the last year of the V6 . 2023 brings a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder turbo . I wouldn’t have bought it in 2023 . Sad but the government standards for mpg’s goes up in 2024 .
