NICE!! Yeah looking back I wish I looked at a Fox body before I picked up the Firebird in 1997. And yeah, the new GT is such a fun ride. I’m feeling young again lol. My kids love it too!
I don’t think you could have gone wrong with either. I have always been a mustang guy, started out with a 79 fox as my first and have had 3 more since that one. The S550 is a huge upgrade from either the fox or firebird, so I think we’ve both done well 👍
I second that!!! Every time I drive my Mustang, it is such a treat. Whether it’s after a long day from work or just a quick trip to the gym, the ride is always a BLAST!!!

Congratulations - I have a 2018 GT Premium, 6 speed, active valve exhaust, Magna-ride, carbon package, Performance Package. 50,000 miles. I stone cold love this car. 30+ MPG with cruse control on the interstate! I did purchase the Ford Premium Care extended warranty - good thing I did! At 50,000 I needed a new water pump and new strut assemblies - I needed the new strut assemblies because the car could not be aligned to spec. Water pump and strut assemblies 100% covered by extended warranty. Thinking about a new 2025 S650 - but damn I love my S550! Happy motoring!
Truly awesome and I’m stoked from reading your excitement!!!! It is really an awesome ride with the memories just starting for me. But at 50k of rubber burned, man I am sure you have some really cool story’s to tell from it. I say stick with the 2018, I’m not a huge fan of the new style coming this summer. Is the magnet ride worth the expense? I kind of like the extra handling sharpness with the performance pack but scared of the ride and that it would shake the car into a bunch of rattles.
@@watauga6510 I was very hesitant with this upgrade, I questioned it too! In the end, the ride is very smooth and the corners are tight. It hasn't hit the track yet but in all good time. If the option is there and you can make it work, I say go for it! It is very easy to add it now than later, plus you will be glad you did. I have not had any experience with any rattling. There is not many videos on this topic so perhaps it is something I should consider in the near future.
@@LifeOfaMatt Thanks for the response. Yeah I haven't seen any videos comparing and contrasting the 3 different suspension set ups. I go to order the 24 on Monday. GT convertible six-speed with active exhaust. Will be an odd-duck when built.
@@watauga6510 OH WOW!!! That's awesome!! Pre-Congratulations!!! Yeah Active exhaust is great; leave the house early and it some what starts up quiet. But getting back to the magneride, I will have to put some thought on how to showcase this off as I don't have another vehicle to compare it to but I am sure I will come up with something. I will be switching to my summer tires next month so that will be a perfect time to show it off then when the wheels are off.
That’s an awesome car, Matt. Congrats! It’s great that you also have those gas station moments in the US - I thought that was just here where the car is more rare. When you buy a Mustang, in many ways you are living other people’s dream. It’s the most common line I hear from people ‘I’ve always wanted a Mustang’ or ‘I’ve loved Mustangs since I was a little boy’. Unfortunately, people get disconnected from their dreams, and it’s not until they see us living it that they are reminded of it. That’s my theory anyway 😆

Congratulations, that's a very sick spec. Lovely color, highly optioned and on top of that it's a PP1 with a spoiler delete. Those Recaro's are just beautiful with the blue stitching. I optioned my 2022 Mach 1 Premium with them. I was honestly worried because I've heard rumors of them not being comfortable and what not, but that was BS. The Recaro's are extremely comfortable, and I prefer them over the regular seats. They also fit the look of the handling pack more in my opinion, and keep me in place during spirited drives. Enjoy the car brother, you have one hell of a ride.👍
Thank you Alvaro!!! Too funny on the timing of this, I am writing a script for Sunday's video which is all about the Recaro seats!!! I too was worried about the seats. Because my ride was coming off of the factory, I took a risk and put a deposit on it otherwise I know it would have been scooped up by someone else; its tough to buy a new ride right now. In the end I am glad I went with the Recaros too. I truly love how the spoiler is deleted, it really looks like the original 1965 Fastback. AND Congratulations your Mach 1! If I had the cash, I would have gone that route, perhaps in a few years. Thanks again Alvaro and keep the comments coming!
@@LifeOfaMatt Thank you Matt, and that's quite the coincidence, but I swear I'm not spying. That's exactly how it was with my order, the car was already set to go in production so it was too late to make any changes. To make things worse, I watched a video of a gentleman reviewing a 2019 Bullit with Recaro's, and he was saying all these negative things about the seats. He was short and quite thin, so everything he was saying would be worse for me. I was worried about them being uncomfortable, and mad at myself for possibly wasting a Mach 1 allocation if I had to drop the order due to the seats. Fortunately, everything the gentleman said was an exaggeration and the Recaro's turned out to be even more comfortable than the regular seats for me personally. I honestly got pretty lucky with my Mach 1; the dealership I went with does not do markup, and they had two allocations left at the time. To make things even sweeter, I did not have to make a deposit. They literally told me that Ford penalizes dealerships that don't sell special orders to the customers who made them. They would limit or even remove allocation slots for special/limited editions of certain cars. So unless I told them that I didn't want the car anymore for whatever reason, the car was guaranteed to be mine with or without deposit after signing the paperwork. Because of their honesty, and the fact that there was no markup; I was able to get every option available with my special order, most importantly the Handling Pack. Ordered back in June of 2022, and the car arrived at the dealer late in October. It was almost a 200 mile drive, but it was worth it because of the honesty and integrity I was served with at this dealership. When it comes to the Mach 1, GT350, GT500 and other limited models; You're stuck with what the dealer has in stock, or someone else's special order that was dropped. Having an allocation is awesome since you order your car exactly how you want it.😁
That's what I was finding online with the seats too, I was so nervous making the move to accepting them on my purchase BUT I to was glad that I did! I'm really glad that the dealership purchase all worked out. These days suck on buying a new car and I don't think it is going to change anytime soon. I didn't get to my Recaro seat review this weekend but its the next one on my list!
Thanks Elcross!!! Yeah I went back and forth between the shadow black, carbonized grey, red and of course the blue. I’m the end I felt the blue would hold the classic look for many years to come. I have received a lot encouraging comments liking the colour.
Thank you Miguel!!! If you can find a 22, financing is really good right now at 1.75%. If not a 22, a 23 will work too. I am not a fan of the new 24; I find it is getting away from the design roots of the original mustang!!

Hi Chetan, where I am located, Ford offered me 2.5% in December. 2 weeks ago I saw that if you could find a 22 model, then financing was being offered at 1.75%. Good luck finding a 22 now though especially with the specs you are noting. For the 2023s, I am seeing financing around 5%. If you can get it for 0%,that's awesome!!! As for pricing, with the current supply issues, dealers are not offering much below the listing price. If you can get it below list, you are winning in my opinion.

the 18-23 s550 is perfected just like the 12-14 s197's are the best of that gen. i love every moment of driving my 22 and i also think the 650 looks like a GTA reject with a dookie interior.

Pros and cons exist in everything. So what’s the perfect car? Every car has things you live and dislike. I’ve owned many and I often regret trading them in afterwards. The GT Mustang has the best sounding engine in my opinion, especially on startup. It’s too heavy especially in turns when compared to lighter more nimble sports cars like the Supra or even a BMW 230i coupe. A Miata is FUN, but not safe compared to Mustangs. Power vs. Nimble handling! Pros and Cons!!
Totally agree Rembo! I have had my share of vehicles too; from my firebird, to a Honda CRX, trucks, Jeeps and back to the Mustang. At one point I also had a Kawasaki Ninja which was so much fun! Scary fun! All of them had their pros and cons but I’m glad I’m back into the car world.

@@LifeOfaMatt i have the corsa extemes with the active mode. They are a little pricey BUT having the quiet mode is SO good. Especially on road trips. I also have catless headers and even with those the quiet mode is so silent I can't even hear the car when I'm driving it.
I made this move last year,bought a new 2021 stang gt,it only lasted 6 months tho,the mustang is a cheap car,the motor is ok,everything else about the mustang is ungodly cheap quality..
Sorry to hear about the short lived pony. I plan on keeping it way past the 6 month mark. As for the quality, I really like it, there is a lot of cool details throughout the car. I hear what you are saying though Dj Dev but it may not be the car but status of the current culture needing to take that extra step to ensure to make it right; taking pride in their work. A friend just bought a truck and before he could drive it off the lot, an engine light came on which required a back ordered part. When I picked up my Mustang there was marks on the dash. Ford installed a new Dash which had its own problem.
