I would love to see you do a full face featuring the make up you have picked for shop my stash. Also I love it when influencers, revisit old classic eye shadow palettes and create a ‘new look’…. “ New look-old palette”. When a palette first comes out, everyone does a look ( and it’s quite often very similar outcomes, as people are drawn to the same colours!) and then you never see it being featured anymore. it would be good to see more unusual colours being used from our older palettes.

Yes, I totally agree, Sam, buying less is great if you can reign yourself in, which I am also on a mission to do. Something I am doing in terms of decluttering is sending my barely used products to women's refuges. I live in WA and there are some mums groups who take all sorts of skincare, cosmetics, hair care, clothing and children's clothes, toys etc to shelters. Clean all your bottles and tubes/applicators/palettes up with alcohol wipes. Google mothers groups in your area, I'm sure you'll find similar. Also you could contact your local CWA (Country Womens' Association branch. They may be able to help or direct you to some other organisation who can 😊😘

When I first starting watching makeup videos 7 years ago, I was horrified at the amount of makeup RU-vidrs had. I just thought how wasteful it was and all the packaging that wasn’t recyclable. But I got over it. I do like how the RU-vidrs are now concentrating on more mindful purchases and stopping all the random PR from coming in.

I love this notion of not over consuming makeup that has been me for the past year and half. I have a minimal amount which i use daily. The only thing i buy is mascara every 3 months. I just want to give love to the makeup i already have and use it all up. This talk was much appreciated 👍🙂. Maybe only show us what you get from work for free, shop my stash, matte look for autumn winter, seasonal makeup with what you already have, top 10 fav products you are using daily.

I have a good declutter/swap circle with mum and sister. When you filmed this on Valentine's Day, I was in Melbourne and passed on several eyeshadow palettes to Lil Sis, along with a few other items. I've been on a low but for several years, having a budget of $200/year, with the unused amount rolling over to the next year. I now have a drawer of skincare, a drawer of eyeshadow palettes, plus what is on my dresser. Much more manageable now.

I think on the scale of content creators , you are the most conscious and grateful for everything you receive. We love the giveaway idea. I'm sure you wont get complaints from you subscribers . Have you thought about getting all age group models and apply makeup to different skin types , skin colour and age . Maybe showing us the makeup that doesn't work for you on others . Just ideas ❤

I think people in general are becoming more aware of over consumption, but I haven't yet seen a shift in the beauty community. You are the first person I have really found and it was literally what I was searching for here. Thank you for bringing attention to this topic!

Love the idea of buying and spending less! Want video ideas? Duping the vibes of new products with what you already have? Or explaining why you won't be making the new purchase because what you already have is similar and giving examples? Or just a straight up video talking us out of certain new releases? Love your practical approach to makeup and actually acknowledging that things are pricey and sometimes no better than basic stuff.

I can't see the brand name on mine, but I got a blade-less fan from Kmart a couple years ago. Best $100 I've ever spent. Being blade-less too would be great for your kiddos.

You're turnover would be much higher if you followed expiry guide on packaging. It can range from only 3 months on mascaras to 24 months on eyeshadow. It would be interesting to see how much you have kept longer 😮 I must admit though I have started keeping powders a bit longer otherwise it would be a bit of a waste for me and they say it's more creams and liquids that degrade faster.

I have just found your videos and love having a straight talking Aussie beauty voice around. Love your vibe and realness very much. And laughing so much at how hot and sweaty you are because I totally get it 😂. So hard to even do makeup on some days the last few months. And so much appreciate the discussion on overconsumption. I am a proud environmentalist but also a beauty and clothing lover and struggle to live by my values in terms in that space in terms of overconsuming and wasting because there are so many cool things to try and express yourself with. But we need to be more mindful and keep trying and figuring out how to make sustainability work. I so appreciate you talking about this on your platform because if no one talks about it openly we all just sit here feeling guilty and not knowing what to do - nice to all be in it together rather than feeling lost amongst the pressure to consume from the media & influencers.

I think peoples consumption can also be influenced by an individuals personal journey. Meaning, when makeup interest is newer to you, you don’t know what you like and you want to try lots of of different types of products to figure it out. Then, most likely you’ll start narrowing down your purchases bc you’ve figured out what you like and don’t. Also, having the money to explore heavily influences one’s consumption journey. That’s been my journey anyway. Just a thought. I enjoy shop your stash and project pan content especially when I’m trying to focus on using products I already own. 😀

I’ve been on a low buy since the beginning of the year and have started panning quite a few products (even eyeshadows-who am I?) Apart from top ups I haven’t got anything new except for the ND My Dream blush and glow (which I think you would love too actually) and there are actual gaps appearing in my back up draw and on my trolley! Wowzer! 😂

🫠Its ok I have the no sweat primer .😂😂😂 I need to cover my whole body in that primer 😅 I purchased the Saint Jacks brush cleaner , Australian brand and its fantastic especially for the quick clean and reuse , I promise you wont be disappointed and no chemical smell .
