I cut cut strips really tiny ( they will curl) and make my own colorful basket “grass” for gift giving. FYI the drawer is for M & M’s for when your crafting and need a chocolate fix 😁

Love that you tried cutting copy paper (you’re so right, traditional paper trimmers don’t like copy paper) and how thin of a strip you were able to cut. Great review! I’m pretty sure I’m going to invest in one of these babies!

Thank you for the thorough review! I've heard of these trimmers but didn't know much about them. The light feature seems really nice and I like the measurements engraved at the top. I wish it wasn't green though (I'm weird like that).

Thanks Jessica! I wish it wasn't green also lol! It doesn't match any of my stuff and it bothers me lol. That's definitely one of the 'cons' for me haha :D

I bought a Fiskars LED trimmer several yrs ago & have never looked back! Use it ALL the time!

Trudy Neumann my fiskars is the one that gives me trouble, but it’s the basic one without any fancy updates. Maybe if I’d tried one of the better quality ones I would have had better luck!

Yay! I really do love it so far. It takes some getting used to since you have to push the blade in towards the base of the machine, but once you get used to it, it's like second nature! Feels great and easy to use :)

great buy, i wish we had coupons over here in the Netherlands...major reason I never bought this monster..too expensive and too green lol

No coupons!? That's the woooorst. Aside from stamp sets/dies that I purchase online, I try to get everything with a coupon because things are just so expensive! I definitely feel you on the 'too green' part lol - It's messing up my craft room vibe lol!

How do you cut measurements less than 1 inch? There are no markings on the metal strip.

I tend to flip the paper and use the measurement of the longer side, rather than the end I’m cutting from if that makes sense? I’m not sure how to describe it! But for tiny strips or scraps, I do tend to use a smaller trimmer.
