prime day had it cheap and the 256gb version at 530, even if they release mini 7 tomorrow the thing wont be cheap and also do not expect them to put oled and promotion display neither, now it could be even cheaper but i doubt it its apple its always overpriced.
Thanks so much for the shoutout Mark - you know my love for iPad Mini knows no bounds. As does my love for fellow Marks who make tech videos 😊 Cracking video mate.
If you’re deliberating these two devices and the size and performance of the iPad Mini hasn’t swung it for you, you may be better to wait and see what other new iPads Apple will be showing us on the 7th of May at their online event. It is with a pretty good amount of certainty that they won’t be releasing a new iPad Mini (though I must stress, they COULD, but all accounts suggest it’s doubtful), but it may be that the new iPad Air might be another contender for you.
Good points, but I'm still not convinced. I'm fully sold on the iPad mini. It's just the right size for me. It's CRAZY portable. Big enough but never too big. When the iPad 6 was introduced I really wanted one, but my old mini was still serving me well. I got my iPad mini with Retina display (iPad mini 2) with the maximum 256GB of storage because I planned to load it up with books and magazines to read on the bus instead of a Kindle like the other people on the bus had. With a notebook cover it looked very much like a Kindle so I wouldn't look like That Guy on the bus with an iPad. The iPad 6 was a massive upgrade. I was almost ready to jump for it. Then they introduced the purple one. Last summer the physical home button on my old mini broke and it became unusable. I've almost gotten used to not having it. Now the iPad mini 6 is a bit long in the tooth. I don't care for the flat sides, they seem old-fashioned to me, much like the iPhone 4s that I inherited from my wife more than ten years ago. It always pays to wait for new tech. I can hope for a mini that will support the new Apple Pencil Pro and maybe other improvements. I think I'll wait through the fall to see if a new mini is announced.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the iPad mini! It's great to hear how much you appreciate its portability and size. Sounds like it fits perfectly into your routine. I understand your hesitation about upgrading, especially with your old mini serving you well for so long. Hopefully, Apple will announce a new version that meets all your needs.
Like your comment and just bought the iPad mini for kobo app and kindle app after my Kobo ereader died. I hope this is a good buy. I think I will like the large screen better to read.
Thanks for your comment Carl. Whilst it is true that there are a lot of Android tablets that are a lot cheaper out there, I think iPads beat 99% of them for performance, security and reliability. However, even saying that, I think it’s more about which digital ecosystem you decide to invest in. Personally I’ve tried Android a few times, both a phone and tablet, and I’ve found myself coming back to Apple! 🤓
