Thanks for the shout out! ♥🤗 Nice to see Gradius V running well on the G Cloud, I haven't dived into PS2 emulation yet on there. The device is so comfortable to play on, I actually took it with me on a recent trip and it was joy playing PSP games. You have me curious about Paper Mario, I might have to look into that and see what the issue is with that game.
Anytime! I love trying out games after seeing them in your videos. Paper Mario is an oddity. I thought it was just something with the Odin but on further inspection it might be the rom itself. I know the G Cloud and the Odin can both handle it. So weird.
I ordered an AYN Odin Pro on November 14th. It is now Nov 22 and it hasn't even been prepared for shipping yet. I cancelled today and ordered this. I can get it in 2 days from Amazon with free delivery rather than having to pay 35-100 dollars US for shipping. The exchange rate to Canadian right now is brutal.
It’s not great at anything if it never ships. Retroid and Odin are terrible at actually getting the products in any sort of timely matter. I ordered g cloud from Best Buy and was delivered next day on my door step. I’d rather the system I have in hand.
G Cloud is similar to Anbernic. It has fairly-good specs, good build and has more good things going for it. But, crippled by its price. The RP3+, RG505, Odin handhelds and Steamdeck availability, will definitely make the G Cloud less appealing. Good news is, like the Win600 was with the Steamdeck. You can get the G Cloud with less wait time and it seems pretty premium👏
Great Video! I love my G-cloud. I think in most cases, The PS2 emulator runs the best. I got Max Payne 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Timesplitter, Auto Modelista and Outrun to run perfectly. You just need to tinker a little with the settings and that's it.
Which PS2 simulator are you using? I’ve tried most and can’t get anything to work. Aether X2 doesn’t recognise any files when I try to download them. Is there a guide or any tips on how to get things working. My fave emulator is the PSP one and it’s in edible just how well the games on that hold up today!
I love my G Cloud. It’s deffo too expensive and if they dropped it by £100 it would sell like hot cakes for sure. It’s battery life is superb and it feels like a premium product. Streaming Xcloud is perfect although text is sometimes far too small but that’s not the handhelds fault , rather the devs of games not catering for handheld play in their titles. Emulation is so easy so whether you are online or offline, there is always something amazing waiting to be played. Other than price, the only other things that is totally baffling is what have they used an old Android OS rather than a current one. Android 11 is dated and means the system may become difficult to use in the very near future. If you can afford the price, I highly recommend the device. We will see more and more of these types of devices as cloud gaming grows further and once price and power are even better equipped, this is a huge market with masses of potential.
I agree with your opinion. They apparently sell it for £330 over there, and it's reminding me of how the G Cloud isn't officially available in Singapore but some people had grey market imports from the US (due to the differences in currency conversion rates). If it were to eventually launch here (probably within the first half of next year), I do hope the price ends up not being higher than $350 for the Wi-Fi only variant.
I hated this device when it came out. Now I switched from shadow pc to geforce now and got an Xbox series s. (Huge cloud fan but shadow was driving me nuts). This device is a lot more appealing to me now.
That's exactly what this device is meant for. I love that I can emulate on it but remote play and cloud play is where this device shines. Great screen and form factor too.
Your comment reminded me of how I had considered using Shadow PC but didn't because they didn't have a server location that was close to me, and I ended up going for a DIY solution using my existing main PC that I already have at home.
@@TeamRetrogue notifications on, looking forward to it, specifically regarding the things I've mentioned AND the transfer of files over 4GB/SD card capacity.
Seeing the hot garbage performance in Citra on your device, but have seen others running it flawlessly in reviews only a month old. Your video is 5 months old. Has this improved at all?
