Is The MCU Dead? 

Okay, great observations. The fact that they didn’t have a full on plan when adapting stuff like the Infinity Stones or Thanos really explains why they’re struggling. Secondly, you’re right they spread themselves too thin with all these TV shows some people might not even watch. Also, they didn’t adapt several major storylines like Planet Hulk and the usual stuff with Spider man. On top of that, they already were adapting villains in very strange ways that made them less iconic and too toned down. Like the Mandarin. There are also a few issues with the MCU that were brought up the RU-vidr Overly Sarcastic Productions when talking a pure evil villains and fridging I think you should check out.

The only character I like on that thumbnail is Loki and he was watered down beyond *BELIEF!*

Perhaps multiple Kangs makes Kang himself more dangerous than Thanos. Perhaps not.

Another major problem is, although super hero movies are fantasy what people love about them is when there realistic. Like iron man for example. Now they are getting too ahead and doing too much too the point people can’t follow it all and also, they’ve now made a very common fatal mistake many fantasy writers do. They’ve meddled with time. Time is the one thing you need too try avoid because it always creates a tonne of plot holes the whole TVA thing very confusing too many there should of scaled everything down a little bit

Very well said, everything for the most part. I didn’t realize how much of a mistake having Kang be defeated as he was was as much of a mistake as it was but everyone else seemed to know. I’m amazed that Marvel didn’t see it. They really tried to get too cute with veering so far off course from what worked the first go around with a Thanos. I happen to also think that the Eternals movie was a huge disappointment as many of us thought the movie would establish some new solid hero’s that we weren’t as familiar with and they’d get rolling again and the other huge mistake was allowing Taika to make such a mess of that Thor 4 movie. He really needs to be kept in check and that movie was out of control

Kang can be a good villain without being invulnerable. he just needs to level up in the meantime and be nuanced in his actions

I've noticed that everyone seems to have a different idea of who the "new main character" was supposed to be after "Endgame". I thought the new main character was Spider-Man, since he's traditionally the closest thing the comics have to a "main character" and is their most marketable and popular character. Kamala Khan also works as a "new main character" because she, like Spider-Man, is an audience surrogate. They're both teenagers trying to find their way in this world of iconic superheroes. I get the point that Chadwick Boseman was a very likeable charming actor and his Black Panther was a breakout character, but Black Panther just can't be the "main character". This is because the MCU is supposed to feel like the real world and Black Panther is the king of a fictional country. Furthermore "Black Panther" as a franchise is very much an ensemble piece, Black Panther as a character is defined by Wakanda and the supporting cast is crucial, you can't make him the "main character" because then you either have to extract him from that context of afro-futurism and the vision of what Africa could have been if not for colonization, or you have to make the MCU into "The Wakanda Show". Neither of these work. The most powerful hero characters at this point are Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel. The most obvious audience surrogate characters are Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel. Doctor Strange/Spider-Man would be a weird mentor/mentee pairing that I don't _think_ worked well enough in "No Way Home" to base the whole franchise around it. Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel is a common mentor/mentee pairing in the comics that they should keep going in the films. But right now it doesn't seem like there's a "new main character"" in the sense of there being a new Iron Man.

Are zombies technically dead?? After Endgame, the only Marvel movie I watched was Eternals and I decided then and there that I wouldn't waste a single second more watching a Marvel Movie. I've done the same with the Terminator, Star Wars, Predator and other franchises. I'd rather watch a fresh low budget indie movie than big budget recycled garbage.

I don’t think the M.C.U. is dying. But I do think it might of gotten crippled, due to backlash by most people, and due to not enough people liking certain movies. Plus to add some M.C.U. shows aren’t liked that much by some people.

Marvel is doing amazing compared to other movie franchises such as Star Wars, Transformers and DC. Just because there's the occasional trash movie like Thor: Love and Thunder doesn't mean the MCU is dead.

8:33 maybe. hulk in avengers 1 looked better. everything in endgame looked kinda plastic and ugly, smart hulk was purely ass. thanos looked way better in guardians of the galaxy 1. in infinity war, he looks especially _bad_ during the wakanda sequence.
