Today we talk about the 2024 mustang dark horse. Is this 500 horsepower track monster an actually good daily driving sports car? Or is it too rough and powerful for the road? Here are my initial impressions with 2000 miles of driving!
OMG I know what you're talking about with the seat belt strap rubbing/squeaking again the seat!!! I was thinking of putting the soft side of velcro on that area thinking that that might eliminate the noise.
I kept my paid off Honda civic for less than ideal driving or parking situations where I live. I got a 24 Base GT in manual…there have been some days where I’ve picked the wrong car to drive as it relates to traffic. Nonetheless before I even got my mustang this was always going to be the plan. I had no intention on this car exclusively being the only mode of transportation for me. Well at least not now. But i have several friends who daily drive mustangs tho.
@@Freeway_Media absolutely. It’s so much construction and ripped up roads in Atlanta and sometimes I would rather pay for the flat repair on the Honda versa the mustang lol. I don’t wanna flat at all but between that and less than ideal road surfaces it’s been plenty of times I’m glad I had that Honda to jump in.
Man, I love the Dark horse and this video was just what i needed bc i want to daily drive it, but I was concerned about MPG. Did you primarily drive it in the local streets vs highway to get that 12 mpg?
been riding in my buddy’s new mk5 supra, it’s a really fun car and honestly debating between a dark horse and that. Leaning to dh just because i feel the the performance ceiling on stock motor and trans is a lot higher on the mustang, adding a supercharger ect, but it’s a hard decision
For sure a huge difference between those two cars. Personally, I would take the mustang all day. The mk5 would be awesome, but I don’t think it would fill the void that the dark horse does.
@@Freeway_Media haha yeah, is yours the premium? and does it have the dark horse puddle lights? and how do you like the recaros? i seen on the build sheet that it removes turn signals on the mirror?
@@Freeway_Media ah gotcha, Yeah i feel like a v8 vs b58 the v8 has more to give, sense the s650 does share a lot of components from the gt500 i’m sure it will respond really well too boost, The end goal is to have a procharger on the s650, But how’s your screen? i’ve heard they have been really laggy, but fords releasing updates so im sure it will get fixed in a matter of time.
Waiting for mine which should arrive (to Spain) by end of June... can't wait!! Apart from the seats, it has exactly the same configuration as yours so watching your videos really helps while waiting :-) Looking forward to seeing which mods you put on it
Dude, totally agree about the seat belt issue! It is incredibly annoying. Also agree with you on the weird lack of “my mode” total customization… my Raptor lets me change all the variables independently and save them as my own preset, so I was super confused when the DH wouldn’t let me do it. Last thing - was the new gauge cluster option in a new OTA update that recently dropped? I’ve been out of town for the last week, so I need to get home and get it installed!
UK dude here living in Dubai where for some lazy-ass reason the Ford dealership here only imports autos. So, I could have had a GCC spec DH in auto in February but sod that; I bullied them into special order a manual for me. Vapor Blue, black roof. It was built last week and arrives in Dubai in August. I'm sure it will be worth the wait!!! Will have to decide whether to keep my BOSS302 or not when it arrives.... 😛 Nice video bro and very honest. Gave me some good tips for when mine gets here 🙂
That little, or should I say big seatbelt retention thing on those Recaro's are next to useless. I saw on Ebay of some 3d printed thing to go on it to actually hold the seatbelt.
I have the regular gt premium, and during a rain storm it was very hard to see and i got same driver needs rest warning, i may have jerked the steering wheel or something.. i think that caused it, then message keep voth hands on wheel, even though i was already 😂
Ceramic coating the windows will help a lot especially during rain storms , I need to do mine soon after the storms pass here in Texas But easy to put on diy wise
