These devs earned my trust and respect throughout the years with CS1...absolutely zero hesitation with this ultimate edition pre-order.

Bought the ultimate edition. I definitely want all the assets I can get - especially since I have no idea when the Workshop will be built out. I find it odd that they are promoting San Francisco as a sunny beach town. Obviously they've never been there; It's too foggy and cold. The muscle car garage doesn't fit SF either. But the rest (ignoring radio stations) should be good.

I ALWAYS buy an ultimate version of ANY game that has a building and creativity in it. Thus NO the video did not help as I've already preorded the ultimate edition. 😉

honestly i'm hoping for an east asian mode since we've already seen a north american and western european setting

I would love to see like a Sin City DLC, like to be able to build up these big casinos with upgrades and be a modular building I think it’d be awesome as well as a way to add monorails to the game and new map themes with deserts but also adding in more stuff like maybe vehicle skins and new signature buildings

I think I spent about $200 on cities 1. Totally worth it. Happy to support the devs with v2.0.

Well since I’m on console, preordered it a month ago to get all the assets I can and to at least get the first few DLCs off rip, what they need to do is start a season pass type thing where you can have a choice of getting a “season pass” with a bundle of say the next 4 to 5 DLCs/CCPs to drop within that year to year and a half mark or you can buy them each individually

I think I'll just buy them separately since I don't buy the radio station anyway, so techinally as long as the prices of the radio stations is more than the 22% overall discount I'm saving money.

There is no real mega gameplay changes in the ultimate pack expansions that I've seen yet (e.g must haves like trams, industries, mass transit), alot of that seems to be part of the base already. The currently only want the expansion which improves marine areas. I generally listen to my own music currently ( or sincity4 tunes!), so yeah base is fine to me.

Probably not..... eventually everything is released one way or another and there is no prize for being first. To be honest, everything I've seen people post about CSL 2 makes me see this as yet another company making a cash grab through insignificant changes... It's basically the same thing, and doing the same thing once again. "We release a gimped version at day 0, and then we will re-release the add-ons you already had in CSL 1 over time, just like we did last time, yet it's a lot of newish skins sort of..." Hi, let me sell you the same car you own, only you will get a piece at a time and eventually you will have the same... well, slightly better car. What changes? Ehm... well, it's technical, you wouldn't understand. But hey!!! You will be the first to drive this nearly finished car! And if you are an influencer... you really want to promote driving this car, because you might not get to drive the next car if you don't.

I only pre ordered the base game even though I know I'll buy all the DLCs. I want to get use to the new stuff in the base game, and as my city changes, buy DLCs one at a time so I can learn each one carefully. After 816.4 hours on CS1, I'm still not sure how to make a decently efficient Airport or Industry area because I bought them at the same time and forced them into my city instead of learning them.

Just gonna say as a San Franciscan the Finnish are mixing up SF and LA. SF is *not* sunny vibes. I live 10 blocks from the beach it is 55 degrees and foggy as usual for July. Still gonna buy it.

already preordered the ultimate one... I got into CS:1 late... don't wanna miss out on anything this time... and they have delivered enough proof to me that they will have an awesome product..

I watched the video even though I already bought the Ultimate Edition on day one XD I bought it, because I already got 1k hours on C:S (on most likely will play it even when C:S II will come out), I also got all of the achievments so it was also a no brainer for me. And it cost me less in the long run!

I would personally say that I would like a tier list first so I can know if it’s worth it

I wouldn't have bought the ultimate edition due to the useless radio stuff in it but in my place there is mass inflation going on I've just gotten the ultimate 700+ in my currency already and I couldn't have waited for each expension coming out and buy them one-by-one with who-knows amount of price. So I've gotten the ultimate just in case.

I still have no idea , what I will be getting if I buy standard edition ? We have to wait , until October 24th what exactly we going to get in Standard edition.I hope there will be Notredam palace , and english bridge with big ben

I bought ultimate on announcement too. Based on my experience with the 1st one, that I bought every single DLC except the radio stations. But also to support the studio hahaha. I even had it because I´m gamepass ultimate subscriber, but come on. Do you know how much time I´ve expent in CS? hahaha

I don't really care about waterfronts, so I think I'll skip the ultimate edition. Also means I can wait until the base game goes on sale before picking it up. I've got plenty of other games to hold me over until then.

first i already have this mega edition. now i wil say that i really think about it. that is - you cannot really answer that kind of question - because: (1) this price is absurd and the fact we even talk about it means how much we overprize things now (2) for someone who played 990 hours in City Skylines 1 and is qualified lawyer this is no problem and i already have this mega edition - i mean - i am mega fun of City Skylines 1 and for me this is "must have" this mega edition (3) what i said in part 2 does not change the fact that this prize is absurd (4) soo in general - only each person individually should answer such question because i do not believe that we can as a "all world"" stop for now such prizes

Well, if you don't mind giving them $90 up front for things you won't see for almost a year sure. Me, I will most likely buy everything in the pass except the music stuff. I mean I do have a radio. And to be honest, I really don't even notice the sounds other than "white noise" in the background anyway. So it could be any music at all. Often, it's the tv. Other than that, it's not really that much of a savings to inspire me to kick all that money in up front like that. I MIGHT buy the season pass down the road to spread the money out a bit. If they were to offer some sort of exclusive content with the season pass, I would buy it though. So, other than the music, it's not like I don't want the stuff in the pass or can't afford it. Just don't want to give them $90 up front like that. And the thing I want by far the most is the SF pact.

Ah yes, Sunny San Francisco Beaches, known for their Muscle Cars. 😂😂 Me watching this from just outside SF, in July, during a "heat wave" its 65 degrees with cloudy skies 😅

I only had 60 dollars on steam at the time so I just got the base game

It is for hardcore fans like me, i spent almost 3k hrs since 2016 and i never regretted any money. Developer diares only confirming my feelings.

So let me just understand this correctly, gentlemen and ladies, If I buy the ultimate edition, for the additional pricetag, I get the entire DLC expansions free the first year, from 2023 October- 2024 October, correct? Then pay for additional DLCs in November '24 and on?

To late for me, I have already purchased the Ultimate Edition before seeing this video, but after watching this, I am glad I did. 😇

Of course it's not worth it. They were released from the completion of the game like Cs1. Paradox Interactive was nailing it. The game isn't even beta. They say if you can dream it, you can build it, but they hope we can build their dreams on 12 maps. There is no map or asset editor. There are a ton of things missing in the game, a ton of bugs. I think they will try for another 8 years like CS1, which they couldn't finish for 8 years, and they will release CS3 before finishing it. No surprise. When you mention this on their forums, they ban you. They are far from accepting their failures and mistakes. It is an organization with weak moral and ethical values. Don't buy the game. Wait a few years, you won't regret not buying it when you see the price with DLCs.

Bom, como o Dollar e Euro são moedas extremamente mais valorizadas que países na periferia, obviamente vale a pena comprar se você recebe o salário nessas moedas. Caso você não viva em um país imperialista, e ganha menos de dois salários mínimos, não acho que o preço vale apena. Vender um jogo por 30% de um salário é totalmente inviável para países da periferia.

no its not worth it, just some extra buildings which can simply be modded in and some radios which i mean just have your own music on. Total rip off, id say just get the base game and the ports dlc

Although I bought it - I have a mac and have to use Parallels and windows to play it. Devs have let Mac players down. Especially ones like me who bought everything for CS1. My M2 mac outshines Windows.

You are better off buying the ultimate because if you don't and then buy the dlc when they come out it will cost more later

it's not worth the money, beside the radio stations all content are simple assets, for which will sooner or later someone will make a mod for free (if paradox will not control the new own modshop and starts to ban this)

I played 1038 hours in C:S (1). Bought all the DLC's (the one's with game content, no radio's... I even bought some creator packs). I have only 4 games with that many hours invested. Anywho, if you are like me, I think CO deserve a bit of a bonus (for the 1000+ hours of entertainment ($0.038 per hour (rough calculation))
