[35] It is our mission to send wave after wave of blobs, skimmers and mortars to try and break through this stronghold! ▬▬▬▬▬ Twitter: / angory_tom Patreon: / angorytom Twitch: / angorytom Reddit: / yogscast Merch: store.yogscast...
I just adore all this creeper world content! It's clear that Tom really enjoys the game and between the excellent work of the modding community and Tom's undying ability to keep me laughing with the perfect balance of genius and garbage tier plays its just always entertaining
For me, its not just keeping me laughing, it’s keeping me interested, he does such a good job of keeping me engaged in the game and his commentary. A lot of people try to cram joke after joke, and while that’s fun, I stop watching the game and just listen to the commentary. With Tom it’s fun to just keep watching AND listening because the game is so interesting and he makes it so much better with his talking about it.
The newer version of this map (Updated) or whatever was more fun in my opinion, used some different mechanics and had a creeper overlord that can stun and attract eggs to it.
That spore barrage is what I imagine when reading Honor Harrington books and Weber goes on for pages about exactly how many missiles were fired and what the countermissiles shoot down.
It bugs me that even after all these videos he's still calling the airship a 'Zeus'. It's not even the right mythology to get the wrong name from. In case you read this Tom. It's called a 'Thor'.
@minecrafter0505 Don't forget to add time if he pauses at all, and there were plenty of moments at 1x speed. But even still 3 hours if he kept it at 4x speed is 45 minutes, plus all the time cutting and edting... Anyway, great work Tom!
Hey! I love your creeper world videos. I have however had some issues in the past to find some of the maps. Could you please add the names of the maps on the description or something? Thanks and keep up the great videos.
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 500 (500, Wow) Another great episode of playing as the Creep :D This one, although not the same close to FPS as the last ep, had a really fun variant with the extras you can use :D I think my favourite extra was the..... Also, WOW, god those Spores XD
stashes are considered OP because they absorb 1k creep, and release 2k creep, doubling it in essence. and as far as i have seen, laying down mesh has 2 benefits. 1) it allows creep to flow easier over it, and 2) it has a slight creep creation. i always flood everything with mesh. it doesnt cost anything to do it either.
This reminds me a lot of when I would play Supreme Commander as a kid and my tactic was desperately spamming low level units until I had enough artillery and turrets to bombard the map from the safety of my base. I gotta say, I like the playing as the creep mode of this game, it's really satisfying watching the map turn blue.
I remember playing this map. Such a fun slog to go through. Personally I solved the bomber chokepoint and the rest of the map with skimmers. Bloody thousands of 'em.
Tom: yeah i have a short attention i get bored of games so i stopped going to ttt Also Tom: welcome to creeper world episode 420 jk though really enjoying the creeper world games
It seems like the play-as-creep mode is much easier than the base game. Whatever is playing as Danu really sucks. They don't try to build turrets, send the airships, or actively use the bombers. With that many airships, if the Danu bot actually sent them to the start of the invasion, all the creep would be destroyed.
I think the idea is you make one flood and build more next to each other the exponentially increase your creep economy over time, like farms in bloons tower defense
Is there a way to build a wall that your own goo can't go through? If there is then you could probably use that thing at the beginning that absorbed a lot then let it all out at once, and make some kinda big gun by directing all the goo
@@Popchip99 But notice how when the game is struggling with the amount of stuff on screen it slows down, effectively running much slower. Some of the 2x footage runs at about 1.5x and even 1x if you actually time it with a stopwatch
@@SlavaRybka uh have fun calculating that then sounds like too much effort to me. Also ironically the average time for that level is around an hour or so yet tom took 3 hours
3 hours certainly does seem a bit tedious but it was cool to see a real challenge for Tom for once! The anticreeper wave with that sprayer was a real surprise :D
You can do it much quicker by going _heavily_ into the spore production. Tom did it somewhat for a brief moment, but a much heavier sustained investment makes more spores than they can shoot down, leading to first the airbases and then the main base falling way before any airships run out of ammo.
This map is why I love just putting Mesh at max size and just lay it down as the creep progresses, if the creep itself is pushed back the Mesh will still keep the territory you gained because it'll prevent the enemy from rebuilding. Edit: one thing about the Floods Tom is that they are USEFUL for supplying endless amounts of reinforcements to the frontline, I just did this map, and this was how I was able to overwhelm the final stronghold with constant tidal waves of Skimmers, slap those fabricators next to them and they will pop them open within a few seconds.
dude kinda used the same tactic as I did (when I see a PAC map I pause and go beat it before watching) but I spammed out like 20 flood cores and then just an overwhelming force of skimmers so massive my fairly great comp choked a little and the game lagged, but it was so worth it
