"BALD! BALD!" looks like trouble is afoot already, will Luffy be the one endangers Fishman Island or will it be others? does Sharley see what WILL be or what COULD be? all these questions and more, next time, on the QueenBlaze Channel. (dun dun dun... lol)
Brook has, indeed, asked Robin for panties. It was the first thing he did when he first boarded the Sunny at the start of Thriller Bark. Robin just looked at him in her world champion deadpan face, so Nami had to do the lord's work and be the one to kick him.
0:35 I remember Brook trying to ask Robin for panties the very first time he came on board on the ship during his first meeting with the crew, but Nami threw a boot at him :D.
Besides up in Northern England and in Ireland they pronounce 'Mum' like it was spelled 'Mam' - in Australia (hi from there) and the rest of England they say 'Mum' instead of 'Mom' like in America.
Unfortunately it is not just Sanji. This arc has less memorable villians than all the others in my opinion. I think I know more Fishman by name from Arlong Park than the entire Fishman Island arc
Fish Man Island Arc is completely skippable. The villains are generic, The plot is just a mix of Arlong park and Skypia, and all the Straw hats follow their formulaic autopilots functions of separations. If THIS was Arlong's redemption arc it would have been different but its just Alabasta underwater. 4/10 at best.
@@SuperSky9??? The main villain is extremely important to the themes built up around Fishmen since the beginning, and ones that still matter now. The flashback is one of the best in the story and is the cornerstone of like 6 important characters lol. There’s also huuuge lore drops and pieces of foreshadowing that are set up here. Definitely a necessary arc to show off how much stronger the Strawhats got after the timeskip. Plus Arlong didn’t deserve or need redemption. He deserved sympathy and for us to understand him, but he’s still irredeemable, unlike Hachi
@@shartley5343 No, there isn't any importance to this arc or its nanometer of contribution of broken boat and a crybaby to the overall lore. The story is here is perfect for Rivavls who can't see eye to eye like Straw hats and Arlong to team up against Hody Jones, and Arlong to be redeemed himself but the arc is too busy taking piss out of Sanji and stupid misunderstanding. This is same stupid thing as Vivi touring the strawhats all over Alabasta rather taking them to kick crocodile sky high.
Zoro after getting defeated by Mihawk, the strongest swordsman alive: "I promise to never lose again!" Sanji after no women for 2 years: "I promise not to die from women"
Sanji almost die to Black Maria but Robin step up for him but Zoro almost die by 2 Emperors atk and also after defeating King taking so much damage not include with mink's drug side effect that cause him get double pain after
I actually kind of appreciate Sanji simping so hard he almost dies as oppposed to just simping for the joke. Also i really appreciate fishman island for giving the crew an opportunity to show how much they improved during the time skip. Just wiping the floor with all these opponents is very satisfying.
@@HotaruIchimaru You're not alone on that, I found it hilarious. All of his "questionable" gags I found funny but people will always take it too far in how serious they get about it. Like the Thriller Bark scene against Absalom, this one or the Punk Hazard one.
@@Marusinae The problem is We don't see the struggles and side effects of Sanji from his own training which makes him act out of character. Any arc that makes character out of who they are the immersion falls apart.
- Bald! Bald! This is a good arc, the thing is the pacing, the long scenes, stares and that, they're filling the episodes. Besides that, is a good arc, hope you enjoy and apreciate it better than I did at the time, I look back now and there is a lot of great stuff. Love you Queen, see you on the next one!!
2 years worth of withdrawal then shoved straight into paradise with no rehabilitation period 🥺 he was doomed from the start and no one cared but chopper 😭
11:49 I honestly think she liked him kinda. Dispite his behavior ladies don't do that unless you ACTUALLY LIKE THE GUY 16:21 if it wasn't for Magellan Luffy wouldn't have boosted his immune system so thank you to both him and Iva That guy is a blue ringed octopus fishman. One of the most deadliest octopi in the world.
@skits_3d824! Queen Blaze did not give a damn when Sanji lost blood due to exposure to the mermaids. It did not seem as though she “liked him”. I love when Sanji acts like a gentleman without the perverted part. I guess he “cannot help himself” in this situation finding his alternative “All Blue”. However, Sanji’s character is limited and simplistic when he poses a crutch in this situation due to his perverted tendencies. Yes, I know when Sanji recovers he is all hands on deck and ready to support his crew. After watching many anime, across 20 years, I am fully aware that there are characters just like Sanji who come in clutch when the time is right. I’m someone who is annoyed by this character trope. I don’t give af about what others say. I stand on business! Lots of love to the One Piece community! ❤️🏴☠️🎉
Sanji's obsession with mermaids is the same as SpongeBob's with Neptune's head "Bald!, bald!, bald!" Currently we're just getting some setup, but some teasers to what's to come. We've met the royal family, seen some pirates with connections to Arlong, heard about a fishman hero named Fisher Tiger, and met some old friends. We're missing a few heads but everyone's almost back together (again! lol). Thanks for the video.
Ah, the fun "racism goes both ways" arc. No, seriously, there happens to be a lot of good writing and entertaining moments in this whole arc to watch out for.
I hate when people both sides a statement. There is a clear start to the hatred. A reaction to a condition will never be as bad as the reason that condition is in place to begin with.
@@darksaint0124 That absolute has a problem to it, because that leads to real life examples of wanting to wipe out entire groups of people via genocide when the claims or real life actions of a group of people end up when the original issue was never that level. When the response to "they treat us as if we aren't people" is "we'll treat them just as bad" the start stops mattering because the cycle intentionally continues on by the very same people that espouse how wrong it is. An unwise reader would take what I'm about to say as "excusing" the problem, but we know nothing about what started the back and forth tragedy between humankind and fishmen. For all we know it is spun around propaganda originally stemming back to the Void Century or just an exaggerated response to how fishmen have an innate advantage to land dwellers as seen when Arlong's crew way back in the beginning of the series dealt with enemy ships.
One detail I heard about the laughs for some characters is that the sound of their laugh is similar to the devil user fruit's name. I need confirmation though.
The Strawhats Blood types Monkey D. Luffy: F Roronoa Zoro: XF Nami: X Usopp: S Sanji: S (RH-) Nefertari Vivi: F Tony Tony Chopper: X Nico Robin: S Franky: XF Brook: X X is equivalent to A type; F is to B; S is to O; and XF is to AB Oda often mentioned how he tries to avoid adding direct real world illness in his story to make it less sensitive for ppl who might suffer from those same illnesses etc. So he renames or makes up his own system and illnesses to avoid that.
If I remember correctly Brook has asked Robin that question once and only that one time. In the beginning of Thriller Bark when he gets onto the Sunny for the first time, but half way through the question Nami kicked him in the head so I'm not sure we can really count that one?
It really just depends on what Oda wants in the moment....his char has the capacity for both Sometimes he needs a badass.... other times he needs goofyness and jokes. Oda likes goofy.
That's because you're not factoring him struggling from his side effects from his "2 years training" and thinking this is what he is doing intentionally.
@@SuperSky9 That's what I tell people and to be honest I don't blame completely considering he had enough trauma to run into the sky because they tried to put force their life style onto him by dressing him up.
My theory behind the vision that sharlie has about Luffy destroying fish-man island is that he will do it but he's reason will be that he has set it up so that they no longer need to be forcibly isolated
Its just the side effect of Sanji's "training". Its pretty understandable if you put yourself in his shoes, you'd end up like him even without Sanji's flirty personality.
17:07 Do you see her family resemblance to someone we've met before there? She doesn't share much of her family relation's personality and only looks like that relation when she gets angry. But I would've liked to have seen her talk to the Straw Hats about their run-in with that relative.
A cool detail that pretty much doesnt effect the story at all: Madam Sharley is actually Arlong's cousin. This doesn't ever really get talked about in the show though, maybe like one sentece at most.
6:11 The joke here was lost in translation. They are called after the japanese numbers: One-ka, Two-ka. Three-ka, Four-ka... and Four-ka Two xD. Usopp says: Why can't it be Five-ka?
i don’t think i’ve ever watched ALL of one piece with another youtuber… usually good episodes here and there but YOU?!? YOU?? it’s just something different lol I HAVE to watch them all
I do like this whole arc, the way the fishmen were treated and the way they then go and not only treat humans like scum but they even mistreated themselves under a pretense of "Humans are evil and need to die." So long as you truly believe that ideal even ending other fishmen is fine. Wouldn't even give Sanji some blood. Is that not just perpetuation the hate? What if Sanji actually died here, would his crew be ok with him dying over this or would they all hate fishmen now?
Useless trivia: the name of the mermaid that Sanji was sniffing at 10:50 is Ishilly (pronounced "ishiri" in Japanese). Her name is a word play with "ishidai" (a fish called striped beakfish in English) and "ii shiri" (nice buttlocks)
You both understand and don't understand why they hate humans at the same time lol There's a theory I won't speak about, but it comes from something in this episode. It's likely true, all things considered. It would be part of a pattern in Oda's writing. He likes to play on certain expectations that we have to write his story. A rewatch of Arlong Park after the events of Fishman Island can showcase that very thing very well.
Lol people give Sanji alot of crap for this arc, but you reeaaaally gotta think about what happened for him every waking day and night for 2 years. In my honest opinion Sanji would have done well on maiden island. Except for when Luffy fell in Boa's bath. Ngl Sanji woulda folded there, but Sanji has always been incredibly charming. If Sanji somehow avoided turning to stone the first time he probably would have impressed Boa in a similar way Luffy did.
Brook HAS asked robin for her panties the moment he came into the straw hat’s ship. She didn’t seem bothered by the question and it was nami that kicked brook on her behalf.
18:30 - yes, Brook is very polite in asking for Panties (Pantsu) also with Belching or Flatulence, that makes a huge difference to Sanji in my humble opinion, and he had no Women around him for 50 years, 25x what Sanji endured.
Ya know, Sanji's womanizing used to get on my nerves. But it's kinda grown on me. He doesn't really go over board physically he mostly just tells all women stupid praise stuff that if he could stop saying Nami-swaaaannn~ might be tactful and smooth. Plus tell me he's not a solid catch. He can cook he can fight and he loves women but again only praising them he's not a criminal. Well he is a criminal but not that kind, guys got a line.
Poor thing was stuck with ladymen for 2 years, give him a break ahaha..he's spent more time witht those ppl than his own crew..it actually has a purpose in the story, not just for gags
