this would be the easist thing to coach as well Greco freestyle and folk. I would begin teaching this first go. I am wondering if you could make a video that would or could show teaching protocol beginning with the easiest moves to the most difficult complete with reattacks and or follow up moves chain wrestling. All your vids are cutting edge best coaching methods next level.
My team only taught basic unders to heavyweights. I didn't like taking shots though and had a killer return, I wish we would've drilled these more in the lighter weights.
This Nolf v Martinez match is why I yell at my wrestlers to whizzer the underhook and fight for head position. Nolf could have been a four-timer if he wasn't passive and whizzered.
@@earnyourgoldWhile watching your video of this move, I’ve noticed several wrestlers take a short step to the side, and then take it back, only to then take the same step (maybe a fraction further and faster) while doing the move. Is that short stutter step helpful in doing the move? Does it telegraph the move? Are the wrestlers rehearsing the move in their minds, and is this stutter step involuntary? Also I like that you have said, this is a relatively risk free move!!! Shoot till you win!!! Thank you for too notch analysis!
Someone explain to me why NOLF and all these other elite wrestlers allowed those deep under hooks to remain in place-unopposed DEEP. 3rd round tired? They scout one another-they KNOW what is coming.. Nolf positioned his rt hand as if he thought he was quick enough to shuck.snap Martinez
One question why in the world do these ELITE wrestlers allow their opponent to get and stay SOOOO DEEP on the undertook? We(1968-1973 LSU BR) were trained to NOT. allow that-to keep elbow in tight and low and to have. good grip on his elbow-Zero upside(other than maybe fireman's carry type move) to allowing that. positioning--but they must have a reason...? Why ? Are they baiting their opponent?? planning something-what? Setting themselves up for a head shuck without the head - I don't get it- Smart wrestlers so they must have a plan/trick-what?? Thanks Charlie
I lucked out once-Jan 1973 tournament "Southland" at LSU-142-waaay behind 5-2 beating me like a drum(I was 126-134 normally) 35 seconds left-on feet I stepped in hard -full speed-attempting double under-hook -zero chance this good bigger guy was going to allow that-but better than a useless single double-I knew he was going to beat me-he knew. coaches knew I charge/run in football style--he is back pedaling instead of standing me up-he is bigger stronger taller- he should have stood me up Suddenly he drops DIRECTLY onto his back-I am stunned-but jump on him-5 points and some stalling later 7-6 he loses I literally had to ask my coach"what happened" coach Kettelsen-"you stepped on his foot"- I had no idea-none he just "fell" for no reason
