Three years late but this just went on sale for $150. I paid more than that for my 24" 144hz (same model line) so I'm hella excited to upgrade. Thanks for solidifying my purchase!
I'll tell you what, I picked up the AOC CQ32G1 144hz 31.5" curved 1440p monitor back in April for $379 and I don't think there was a better screen at those specs anywhere near that price. It looks amazing, and it's perfect for casual gaming and the general computing that I do. Really happy with AOC, and you have smashed another GREAT review right out of the park! Keep it up!!!
Absolutely agree Anthony. AOC are on a budget winning streak at the moment. Great to hear you like your G1. When we reviewed the G1 range, we were super impressed too.
I have AOC C27G2 IPS and ghosting on 144Hz is minimal to none (on fast overdrive mode). You have to sacrifice something always - i chose no ghosting over contrast and colours (colors on this monitor are very good but no way good as this monitor you review). Good review TY !
So is this G-Sync compatible or not? This is 10 bucks more than the 144hz non curved version which is certified as G-Sync compatible, so I need to know if this is the better purchase
The ghosting on AOC monitors really shits me but they have been good for the money, great option if you cant afford the full on gamer monitors that are like double the cost
VA can be better for colour contrasts with deeper blacks. However IPS panels tend to favour colour accuracy and wider viewing angles. But of course with anything, a high end VA panel could out perform a budget IPS panel and vice versa.
Hey I really need help between this monitor and the lg27gn750 pls someone answer me I don’t understand the ratio and brightness and srgb specs that show up
im i the same situation but i think the LG is better bc i has a ips pannel doesnt have much ghosting and its cheap rn on amazon so i think ima buy the lg
Sorry, I know this is an old video but it is worth the shot: Would you recommend this over a Samsung CRG5 C27RG50FQ? I play mainly Valorant. As far as I can tell the only difference (specwise) is that the AOC monitor is 1ms and the Samsung is 4, but I don't really know if this is a noticeable difference or even if the AOC monitor *actually* has that response time. The other difference is that the Samsung monitor is gsync compatible and the AOC one is Freesync, but I read that the AOC one is algo compatible with nvidia cards (I have an nvidia card). So, maybe if you have personal experience with one or the other or both, or you know something I don't, you could help me decide. Thanks in advance!
@@TechNuovo the colors were a bit washed and the 240hz was really ghosty for me.I tried all settings but it didnt make a big difference. For people who haven’t had a quality monitor it is a very good option especially for ps5 for 120hz compatibility. It’s a 6/10 for me.
Would you rather consider buying this monitor or the Samsung Odyssey G4 27"? The Samsung one has an IPS panel at 240hz but I dont find reviews anywhere..
@@TechNuovo Thank you! Yeah I currently have a 144hz VA OCed to 165hz but the picture is not as good as I want and I play competetive games so 240hz is prolly a good option
I know everyones still asking questions, but i have never bought a monitor before, never had a good tv either, but im ordering one this friday, its for my series s so i need to know it will go 1080p 120fps? I know you have a life but an reply would make my year.
It can be higher, but it depends how much you adjust the brightness. I don't know about you, but I'm playing my games in the room with my monitor facing window, and still ok. If you play games outside on direct sunlight, this can be a problem for you. Other than that, you're good. Also, never judge the book by it's cover. Go and check this monitor with your own eyes. It's much better than in reviews, trust me, you'll be surprised. All this reviewers are acustomed to different monitors, and maybe this guy just use far better and more expensive monitor than this, in every day usage, that's why when he looks at this one, it feels wierd to him. :)
If I understand your question, yes Fortnite is compatible with this monitor's refresh rate. But you will need the hardware to be able to hit those refresh rates consistently.
Please I need answers!!! Does this have built in speakers? I read it does but the reviews say it doesn't! Which is is? Does it have speakers built in??
I'm going to buy this monitor in 1 week for my competitive games valorant, fortnite etc so I just need to buy a better pc and I already have everything I just want the 240 hz for me because playing with 60 is shit everyone talking about ghost but doesn't even play competitive games i just play shit
Good choice! You'll definitely notice a difference between 60 and 240. You just need the hardware to be able to power consistent high refresh rates. Good luck!
See the only think that that i dont like about the monitor is the VA panel because I want a monitor for esport based games and I'm in pretty high ranks that's why I don't know if I should buy this one or the ASUS VG248QG with 165 hz and a TN panel? can someone help me on this one
Va panel is way better than the va is way better with colour and contrast than tn tn panels are ridiculously bad in 600:1 to - 1200:1 range so va panel is better in my opinion
Quick question and it would be great if you could reply ASAP but what does the difference mean for 240hz and USB Hub 240hz? there is like a £92 difference in price between only that change on this monitor and no one has mentioned it at all. does the USB Hub 240hz do the same as 240 hz the 240hz hub one is C27G2ZU make while the 240hz is the C27G2ZE model
The 240Hz would refer to the panel itself. Not sure where you've seen USB Hub 240Hz, but if it mentions USB Hub, it would generally mean it's got some USB inputs on there.
hello i have asus rtx 3070 ti 8gb . i wanna know if this monitor will give me the fps that my card have, tell me if i can get a better one for this price 300$ . english is not my language so sorry . help me plz .
@@moilane2655 do you know how to change the Hertz on the monitor itself because I'm able to change everything on my PS5 but for certain games it's still saying 60 HZ is that just because that the game I'm playing can't reach higher than 60 HZ
Hi, Do you think its more worth to buy a 144hz 1440p or this 1080p, is it big different from 144hz to 240hz and is it big different between 1080p to 1440p?
There's a much bigger difference between 1080p and 1440p than fhere is between 144Hz and 240Hz. Personally if you can run 1440p at 144Hz consistently, go for that.
im not sure if ghosting will be an issue for me i play fast paced shooters and im used to lgultragear oled 240hz but i bought this monitor to travel with and hopefully ghosting ain't much a problem i will definitely come back and share my opinions abt it once it comes
@@abdullahsuliman4976 it was really good i recommend 100% i wouldnt even suggest anything but this it came with 1 pixel but its honestly unnoticeable when i play i couldve probably got a free replacement but i didnt mind because i was already so impressed
i am satisfied with my lenovo g24-20 ips panel 165 hz, should i go for this curved, larger screen, higher refresh rate as for cost as 250 bucs @@TechNuovo
Hi great video. Quick question how do you take the black bars on the right left and top off. they never used to be there but now they are showing? Thanks
@@gotivanmomak so u know sometimes u see like randomly lines on ur screen for like half a second and it goes away, g sync is the technology that takes it away but for NVIDIA graphics cards and free sync is for AMD graphics cards and most ppl use nvidia graphics cards só to not have those lines and bad connectivity then get a g-sync compatible monitor which is better than amd free sync
I just bought the C27G2ZE and noticed there is the C27G2ZU (as presented in the video), what are the main differences? From what i noticed so far, looks like the U has an USB hub on its back, what else?
@@Nhyz0 I Couldn't find the U model here in brazil. I don't believe it's going to be a huge difference though since i'm going to mount it on the wall... Thanks for your reply, have a nice day!
i got this monitro but gaming feels so extrem blurry. why you dont mention this in the video ? va panel is not optimal for gaming. or any solution for blur on this monitor? yes i checked ingame...
Unfortunately I didn't experience blurriness while gaming, and was very happy with this monitor's performance while gaming Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.
Depends on the model number of the Viewsonic, the other specs, and if you're only switching because you need 240Hz. 240Hz is incredibly hard to drive consistently. So it also depends on the spec of your PC too.
