My full and honest review on the Garmin Instinct watch, IS THIS THE BEST OUTDOOR WATCH? well I believe at this price, yes. Don't get me wrong, I love a g shock, I've owned them for over 17 years, probably longer. But the G Shocks niche is that fact its simple and tells the time perfectly. Anything else is extra.
Casio, missed a trick in making an affordable outdoor watch which has the ABC and full GPS tracking. Their protrek and master of G watches are very expensive and I believe the main reason is the fact that a G shock is around $100 usd for a basic one. So on this logic, if their ABC watches are $200-300usd, then a GPS enabled, bluetooth smart watch is going to be big bucks. I think Garmin did a great job and during my own real world testing, now over 9 months, this watch is highly regarded and has earn't its place within my system and outdoor kit.
I hope you find this review useful and i've upgraded sound and visual recording, so hopefully you can see and hear the difference.
This video is not sponsored but in any case my reviews are 100% honest and I'm happy if it helps you make better choices when buying outdoor kit.

At 5:39 I talk about widgets and how you can't reply to messages. This feature has changed with updates. So you can reply with preset messages of your making. controlled through the Garmin connect App.
It's really useful especially if you need to send something quick. Or sending a preset GPS waypoint to notify someone that you have reached a certain point.
