You guys are the king of tri-drive rigs! I hear companies in our industry of super heavy transport that they are going to tri-drive units. We only have one KW, was a beautiful rig until our office let it rust down in Houston after a long winter run in Minnesota! stupid. Is a pushing and pulling son of a gun!
@@mikethetrucknut Mike I totally agree!! With the way work is right now they wont be getting trucks yet. They are beautiful rigs. If you ever need a picture of one of your trucks in Denton let me know, I would love to go take one. lol :-)
Can't they put a pull out fridge and a storage drawer under the bed? That's how European manufacturers fit so much in their cabovers. The little wardrobe is a great touch. It does look great.
hey Mike Iowa Customs makes the fridge and microwave combo can get them for either side. What is the longest wheel base you can have in BC and Alberta on a tridrive?
@@mikethetrucknut Cost? They spent that kind of money for a truck and cheapened out on a safety item like disc brakes?!? Cost shouldn't be an issue with a truck like that!
@@mikethetrucknut thanks Mike, when do you take delivery of your first 398 with the new dash 👎 it’s kinda said old school trucks need old school gauges, I grew up in Quesnel haven’t been back for 15 yrs or so but PG still looks the same.
It depends on what it's doing but In BC we can go 25,500kg on a tridem grouping with winter weights. With a 9axle trailer combination we can gross 72,300kg on special permit.
It seems like in the lower 48 there not building trucks like this at all I’ve always like the big bulky Heavy duty trucks not the pavement pounders that are built down here
@@mikethetrucknut what I’m getting at is like the pavement pounder 389 Pete’s that are super low to the ground and serve the only purpose of driving down a flat road instead of having a versatile truck that can preform all forms of work like the tri drive 389 Pete in your video
@@mikethetrucknut hopefully by the time I decide to be an owner operator the 389 is still an option and looks old school not like the w990 and I’d need one built for all types of rough terrains and conditions
@@danepatterson8785 the 389 is here to stay for a few years, it's getting the new electronic dash this summer and smart switches etc. So she's should be around to 2027 🤞
