On which monitor is HDR better? (G9 Neo vs G8 Neo). It seems that the brightness is considerably higher on G9 Neo, and there are a bigger number of mini LEDs per inch, but the contrast is a little bit better on G8 Neo. Maybe they look similar in that respect or not?
@@HumbleDude46995 I ordered it for that price, too. Was just hoping I didn't make a mistake. I hate that you can't run over 120 refresh rate without scan lines. There are monitors that will do 175, no problem.
What is you viewing experience regarding the PPI on this one (32") against some other model 4K 27"? I've used to use LG 27" 4K but a bit worried that extra inches would make pixels more visible.
32 4k PPI is still great as long as you're not sitting 1 foot from the display at 2 feet viewing distance its sharp. I used a 24" 1440p for awhile at 2 feet and that has 122ppi 32 4k has 137ppi.
@@FG-td4vs same pixels on different monitor sizes is different ppi (pixels per inch) higher ppi = better resolution. A small 720p monitor can have a higher ppi than a large 4k monitor
I would say 4K 240hz doesn’t need beefy. It is impossible. Honestly I’m not sure a 4090 would run 240 fps 4K. Not on ultra. So if you lower settings maybe but then what’s the point.
MSFS2020 on ultra with a 4090 will probably give about 60 fps according to my own research and predictions based on that. Maybe slightly more with DLSS...
@@Daduu funny part still no chance on ultra thanks. I’ve seen a few games hit 200 but not 240. Also I’d say most games are gonna stick to 120-144 ultra in 4K . So really I guess just esports kids with their 360 fps in 1440p are happy now. I’m still not shelling out 3000 Canadian for a 4090

I have a neo G9 but sometimes it feels a little too "niche" and I wouldnt mind something that more games support.. particuarly older games. Thinking of the G8 but its a standard 16:9.. hmmm although itis 4k so a lot of pixels so maybe that doesnt matter.
But you can just play your games on a lower res? I just ordered the G8 for my ps5 and laptop, also as a tv replacement for my gaming room. Just started using mouse and keyboard on warzone ps5 and it's really awkward on a 55" tv that's on a low TV stand lol but I figured I could also use it to play 240hz @ 1080p using my laptop (4060/12700h so there is no way I'm gonna even run anything 4k 240 lol)
just purchased this monitor however i cant change from 120hz to 240hz... i have an rtx 3090 also... my only guess is that the displayport cable that came with the monitor doesnt support 240hz...
there is a button on the underside of the screen, push it and go into menu, and then change refresh rate from 120 to 240hz....if you can't figure this out for yourself i'm kinda wondering why you have it, or a 3090...

I want to know this as well. Specifically what the highest refresh rate is with a Mac Studio. I'm considering purchasing this monitor to use for daily work on my Mac Studio and PS5 gaming.
There are scan lines. You can't notice them in game. I've seen them once, faintly, on a very bright HDR reflection. On desktop you see them. It's hard to say if it's a deal breaker without seeing it yourself. If crispy clear detail is most important to you, the scanlines will be a deal breaker
If it is not bendable, I am not interested. That corsair one is so important for work and gaming. Even only gaming, I can bend it whenever I want depending on the game.
I am using 22inch flat screen for my 8-10 hours of programming. Can you please help me decide between M32U and Odyssey G8/G7? Is it hard to use curved monitor for programming?
@@aditya7955 I am using neo g8 :). I have made my mind for scan lines and decided to go for it. I am really enjoying curve. As from my experience, flat 32 inch monitors are difficult to reach in corners. I have tried and returned LG32 UN 880 and Samsung M8. I love mini leds deep contrast. Amazing design. I am using mac and windows both. I can see scan lines on Mac with type c to hdmi converter even at 60Hz, but I am fine with them. On windows machine no scan lines and using display port. VRR will always have scan lines. Feel free to reach if anything else is required.
@@awweee6568 thanks eee. I am also a programmer. How is coding and reading text on this monitor? I read a review on amazon saying that due to the coating it looks a bit blurry and doesn’t actually feel like 4k. Is the scanline issue very hindering or is visible when you try to look for it?
@@aditya7955 to me scan lines are not that concerning. And as you can see on my windows machine there are no scan lines at 60Hz, VRR off, using Display cable which comes with monitor. And coating is really amazing 0 glare. Go for it if you can afford it. You can play in settings and change it to 21:9 instead of 16:9. Also get it from Amazon, try for 7 days, if you don't like it return it. Dont order from Samsung Shop as its difficult to return.
Does ps5 runs full screen on this at the highest resolution? Also would this be a better option to Asus ROG Swift PG48UQ 48-inch 4K for console gaming?

@@SpaceCadetLou I have the computer and they happen like once every 2 to 3 days for six seconds or less it’s barely noticeable and it’s not a problem. At least for me.
@@PeteMatheson yeah I figured it out right after I made a comment. Thank you for your reply. I didn’t know that I have to go to Samsung settings to change it. I thought the display port 1.4 was the issue cause I heard it can only reach 4K 120fps. But thanks again
@@PeteMatheson I would have said same thing till I saw it in person. 5k and its amazing. I do not have either btw... price is to steep for me. I currently have a large dell curved that I bought about 2 years ago. Will not be in market for new one until this blows up.
no, ps5 is not able to use that. 4k 120hz is only possible in a handfull of games. I would recommend a 1080/1440 monitor with 120hz. If you just play singleplayer games and want some decent graphics a 4k Oled tv is cheaper and does the same as this monitor.

Hi, since you are super professional, I ask you! I have a rtx 4090, and I want to buy a samsung neo g8... On amazon there are 2 versions there is the 2022 version (1100€) and it is hdr10, and the 2023 version, more expensive (1400€) which is "quantum hdr2000" I would like to understand which of the two to buy, since there are no reviews of the 2023 version, I'm not rich, and I don't want to throw away my savings, but if it's really worth it, if there is really better hdr on 2023, if they have solved many problems, I would be happy to spend 1400€ to get the best monitor. Unfortunately there are none 32" oleds.... I have a tv but I suffer from motion sickness.. On the other hand if there are better monitors than the neo g8 2023, I'd be happy to hear it... I searched a lot for these answers on internet, but of the neo g8 2022 vs 2023, there is no trace even on the Samsung site where they sell it from... Thanks in advance, also from all (too many) those looking for an answer to this question... : )

Eh, just buy yourself the Alienware AW3423DW OLED instead. Better picture, better viewing angles, high refresh rate, ultra wide-screen, and lower price than the G8.
@@Gamezone-ze3oz those are all things that can be fixed with software updates or a recall. Yes those issues are horrible but once fixed it’s fine. I got lucky and mine doesn’t have any of those issues. I had a g7 before it and I’m telling you from personal experience, side by side the g8 looks wayyyy better
