Metazoo Seance is down to $90 a box. Soon to be $80 soon. TCG player is showing that it’s slowly bleeding out. Wilderness $60 and UFO is down to ~$50. Rudy will continue to pump Metazoo.

Weiss isnt going anywhere i know its shocking to pump and dumpers but people collect weiss because they are fans of anime not just to make money.

Breaks my heart seeing Weiss struggling. When the game first started, there was a thriving US community, even a few MTG only shops here in FL Started stocking it like crazy, then Bushiroad started pushing other TCGs alongside Vanguard, and released a dozen terrible sets of Weiss that had good IPs, but horribly vanilla cards crashed the market hard. I think we have like 3-5 shops between Miami and Orlando that have active Weiss days with 6-12 active players these days. It's not helping that the past few years have been 80% Isekai/loli/generic trash seasonal IPs with sexy questionablly aged girls being the big decks and chase cards. Weiss has a huge reputation for being full of smelly perverts and unfortunately they've really been catering to them more than the people who played because they wanted to use cards from their favorite shows. Weiss was amazing once, but sadly I don't think it's going to be in the US much longer.

I don't play WS but I'm thinking of getting the Kobayashi's Dragon Maid trial deck just to have it because I like the series.

Prices for every asset are heading downward. This is the opposite of inflation. We are on to deflation. They are dusting off the money machine.

Have not played Weiss but enjoy collecting it.

I want to give some context for some of the sets that are on an uptick. Weiss is in the middle of its competitive season. Jobless Reincarnation, and Hololive are amongst the top performing sets. With the release of Quints 2, that set joined them and cards from quints 1 are needed. With the influx of people coming to the game, Bushiroad has been trying to get the release schedule to speed up and match that japanese side of the game. Around 1 to 2 sets a month. I dont think the English market can actually absorb that much product for the reasons you've explain. But for the people who can purchase it and hold, as long as the game doesnt crash and burn the product will go up in value over time.

You should try watching a couple of these anime you're investing so much in, if you became a weeb it would be the funniest thing ever Feel like you'd like Kaguya-sama, I dunno lol

By guaranteeing certain hits by the case, you've just made buying single boxes pointless. Want to not get scammed? You have to buy 16 freaking boxes at release. What a stupid game. The best move is to not play.

Im sure tons of the sealed exists but not many exist that want to sell at the current market price. Same as Silver for example. Its hard to find right now and you cant near spot price. If spot price goes up a lot you may see a lot of silver for sale at a new higher price. Same with weiss many are prob sitting on the dumpster fire hoping it goes up to unload

Really this is kind of random, but when I was in college, I did some medical research for once I wasn’t a medical test subject lol I was the scientist it was with the Florida medical research institute fMRI. We were researching the anticancer properties of pinecone extract. The professor went further with the studies after we determined which dendritic cells were being activated by the pine extract. people only care about the sps in Weiss Schwarz. The cards tend to lose usage overtime, especially if it is like a solo set with no sequel. Despite massive influx of sales, Bushiroad has done nothing to increase tournaments. With the influx of stores ordering it, stores had too many non sp cards that no one as buying and the market more or less collapsed. Those sps have prices worse than anime figures so casuals cannot get in

Well... It is Bushiroad we're talking. I've tried to have an OTS ( official tournament store) as well at least one official Vanguard championship in Brazil for almost 4 years ( from 2012 to mid 2016) and all Bushiroad replied, WHEN replied, was : we're evaluating the idea, but it is not in our priority right now. So, expanding their market worldwide HASN'T BEEN their priority for a while. Which is clearly seen when we look at their low printing of english products that is consumed by half of Europe, North America, Middle east, South Asia and Oceania, it all makes more sense.

I've been playing Weiss for a couple years now, and I have to say that Rudy is absolutely correct. I physically reacted when he mentioned that he has a position in sealed Jojo boxes. If you buy them at the right time and price, I don't see how you'd ever loose money on Weiss boxes.They are all print to demand and there is no reason for them to drop in value once they are out of print and once the market has settled.

I mean is in 10-20 years time anybody really paying a premium for cases of an anime series that is not really that popular even now? Like.. those IPs are not Evangelion or Naruto. Its literally just mediocre fantasy and harem IPs. And thats not even considering that Bushiroad might just reprints sets into oblivion in the future.

Weiss is a super cool cardgame. Its always been up/down as a cardgame, I mean look at AoT 1, and Fate/Zero and such. They were like 50 bucks even during like 2019. Im so hyped for kobayashi, main reason im getting back in.

Eye of Judgment killed the first LGS I used to go to, Weiß-Schwarz the second one. Why? Because you show up to play Magic, yet all the other Magic players have fallen for the latest non-lasting trend. Over time, the Magic players start going elsewhere - and are not coming back. No LGS can afford to lose its Magic players. Because Magic is the gift that keeps on giving, whereas most other games (aside from Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon) are not. Now the latest trend seems to be Flesh and Blood. Hey, just to ask out of curiosity, is Keyforge still a thing? 😁

I am so disappointed in WOTC about the Baldur's gate bait n switch, the canceled preorders of double masters, the poor management of 30th anniversary Vegas, and 30 anniversary secret lair debacle. I do feel they make to many sets but the point is to not appeal to everyone but little parts and you just get what you like as everything set locked so it’s just pick up sets you want to play
