I have that same exact stuff. Ihave the pen too. You are supposed to move continuously across back and forth, or in circular motion. Not stay in the same spot. Also, the thinner the layer of it, the better it looks. Very very thin. I wasn't very impressed with the pen when I used it. I also used like a sponge dauber type think and blotted mine on when I used stencil. REALLLLLLY THIN. Also, if you preheat your heat gun, it works much faster and is nicer and doesn't look burnt too much out of the picture you are doing, I mean the wood surrounding it

I can still see a possible use for this, small carvings where it is difficult to actually burn without destroying details. I might give it a shot.

LMMFAO 😂😂😂!!! Jordy buys more stuff he doesn’t need!! Thankfully you do, cause I would never know about it! You should be able to tax deduct all the supplies and stuff you buy? I think it’s pretty cool! It’s definitely designed for the decals on smooth flat wood, which turns out awesome! Good stuff as always Jordy!! Thanks for the tip!

Brilliant Jordy. Great review. I think its a fun product. I can see me getting some. Good to see it's not made in that large Asian country. As an Australian I rather support North America if I can. Thankyou for sharing

Thank you for the excellent video. I had been looking at the pens when I came across this paste and then your video. I can see it being useful in some projects, but for me I’d rather stick to real burning or painting. Be well.

You have to let the heat gun heat up first. You can also get attachments that can direct the heat to where you want it to go so you don't burn where you don't want to burn it.

Hey sir if you would get some spray adhesive and put it on your board it will stick those patterns down and you can do the torch paste easily

Amonium Chloride and a thickener works very well too...

I wonder if it's possible -- especially with the wood spirit where you don't want to cook the higher details too much -- could you put this in the oven at 350 - 425 F and let that activate the ammonium chloride without scorching the highlights?

It’s a product to think about, product must kind of create a barrier between heat source and the wood allowing only the product to burn. Would be interesting to see how it could weather or just be in the sun. Plywood certainly wouldn’t weather very long outside burnt or not

My first thought was "is it burning the wood or the paste"? You answered that with the sander. Still pretty cool. Hi Jordy.

I wonder if a wood burning tool, or perhaps a solder iron, would provide enough heat in small localized spots like you need for that wood spirit?
@glasgowjohn7831
@glasgowjohn7831 Год назад
i think it would be good to use if you have a template of a logo and just burn the logo using this. far cheaper than a branding iron

Interesting for fun and yes, easy small sales, but, personally, I still prefer my TRUart and creating by hand! But it is very successful! For your stars...Let's call them snowflakes! ❄

I don't know if u seen the end of the video but yup I did sand it down
@IdahoRanchGirl
@IdahoRanchGirl 11 месяцев назад
@@CarvingFusion yeah I wrote that before you did it! I see what happens when it's sanded. Oh well! I stopped getting those globs when i started using something to dab it on. I kept dabbing until barely any was left on it. The really dense sponge type. Hey I bet it would look cool if a sponge like a texture sponge was used with no stencil. Or with one, but it could make a cool design. Gonna have to check that out. Even like a scrunched up piece of cloth I did try it using a rubber stamp and it worked great. Have a good day, I've stayed up too late again working on some wood spirits that came out wrong. Gotta practice on eyes.
