Sounds awesome and definitely makes my decision easier to go with non-resonated. Already have my swift springs and wheel spacers in for mine. Keep the content coming!
One of the best sound combinations is the Apexi mid pipe (resonated, this is key) with the GTHAUS axleback. It gives it a really nice deep old school tone and kills the exotic rasp because of the H pipe configuration.
@@Hyper_Boost Haha, I'm in the same boat. While I do love my custom Borla setup, there's always someone who discovers something cool by accident. I would only recommend exploring the GTHAUS route if you find yourself wanting more sound in the future because it is very loud.
I had a local hot rod exhaust guy do a custom midpipe for mine. It sounds very similar to yours. It's hardly different at low rpm, but at full throttle, it's at least twice as loud and has a great rumble.
Sounds amazing! I ordered the catalytic converter gasket. Now waiting on that and to find a place to install the exhaust. What are your thoughts on the NIA full body kit for the IS500?
@tubedude92 thanks again bro. Yeah, I didn't do coilovers. But wheels are next! The Fitment Factory and I are collaborating on wheels for the next mod.
I got it from JM Racing. I don't know if there are anything available for the 350 though. I know for sure that Nvidia makes a sick axle back for the 350F.
I prefer the lower rumble and tone of the Apex'i vs. the higher pitch of GTHaus. Also, if I'm not mistaken, GTHaus has an X-Pipe configuration. I read in the forums that Apex'i and their H-Pipe offer more low-end torque. Also, the price point.
It really quiets down when the engine gets warm. That's why I went with a non-resonated pipe. 90% of the noise is muffled by the resonators. That whole stock piece that comes out literally weighs 50 lbs. just from the heavy resonators. Can you call or email them to change your order? From what I've heard, delivery is not until end of March. You might have some time to change it.
I'm thinking about going apexi resonated midpipe because I have future plans for PPE catted headers and borla axleback, so an unresonated midpipe may be too loud with those other parts.
@JustAnotherRandomNPC Ah! That makes sense! With axle backs, non-resonated pipes will be obnoxious. I did a full straight pipe set up on my Evo, and it was too loud to go to some places. Plus, the drone..OMG! It gave me headaches after 30 min of driving.
