Quite right, but among those missions, some are more reasonable than others. Morality is subjective, it always has been. But some opinions can still be more logical than others. Ultimately, what people are choosing is whether or not they would like to listen to logic.
Start small, just make a list of a few things you would really like to do in your area, hike a local trail, ride a bike, help out a neighbor and/or a friend, learn to paint or play an instrument, and move out from there or perhaps not, nothing wrong with staying local. Doesn’t have to be a grand excursion or death defying adrenaline rush, just something you enjoy, that makes you happy !
Yes. I read ‘the last question’ - short read, 30 mins - just to get a taste of this guys mind, very tongue in cheek if you don’t know the ending😂 - I hope to start his gelactic, century spanning odyssey ‘foundation’ soon
@@dopy8418 Asimov was an atheist and a humanist. Quotation from him: 'I am an atheist, out and out ... Emotionally I am an atheist. I don't have the evidence to prove that God doesn't exist, but I so strongly suspect he doesn't that I don't want to waste my time.'
@@dopy8418 That's just silly. He calls himself atheist! Read his own god damn words! All atheists are agnostic because none of us can prove that there isn't a god or gods. We just look at the evidence and find that there is no evidence for the supernatural and no evidence for a god or gods. Therefore, although we are agnostic, we choose to live our lives as though we are atheist because there is zero evidence for the supernatural, zero evidence for a god, and zero evidence for gods or godesses, or miracles and so on and so forth. Asimov was an atheist. Read his words!
There is no proof that it exists, and there's not really a way to prove it unless they find a new way to do math or find a new element that unlocks that type of travel.
He is certainly not a believer. The man changed phrases such as "my god!" to "my space!" in his book Foundation. Multiverse, simulation hypothesis, and the rest are just as incredible as a magic man in the sky, which god by the way usually has nothing to do with. Read a lot. Everybody should.
Hes seems to be describing the purpose of desth from a narrow minded key hold. The purpose of life? Reminds me of the pharasees asking Jesus where he gets his authority from..

So bizarre how communication is controlled these days. As I was like going back and forth between my inbox and the replay under this OP, switch between having one reply and two replies...like way arbitrary in time. I seen a third reply that I wasn't supposed to see. Maybe the third party will be able to register this reply and speak again.
Great writer, but he was known to be one of the most prliferous ass-grabbers of all-time. Stories were great, but he wrote about love and relationships like a total tool.
