It's about people all over the world uniting. Coming together through love, brotherhood, and understanding. Not the complete Isley's. This was after the older brothers and younger brothers split in the mid 80's. Ernie (guitar) Marvin (bass) Isley and brother-in-law Chris Jasper (keyboards) formed Isley Jasper Isley. The 1970-84 era of the Isleys is a rabbit hole.

Isley Jasper Isley is a group formed by the breakaway of the younger three group members. This was their biggest hit. A British group, called the Housemartins, recorded a cappella cover version of "Caravan of Love" (originally by the Isley brothers ) was a UK number one single in December 1986.

I don’t listen to R&B, so never heard this before. The rhythm just slowly hypnotizes and draws you in. Not the music genre I enjoy but nice to hear a band spreading love and unity.

The album cover gives you the clue. They used to sing gospel. This is a reference to Jesus birth. 3 wise men who journeyed in a caravan to visit the prince of peace. All different and yet came together to honor him. They are referencing people joining in to follow along and see the child born to save the world.

LOVE some R&B. Isley Brothers were a phenomenal group and the thing about contemporary music is that it seems to be so digitally. Voices and instruments are generated and altered with technology. People USED to sing - using their own voices. LOVE THIS bunches

A similar song to this is The Impressions doing "People Get Ready". This song, and the song by Curtis Mayfield, is about joining together under a spiritual flag, living a life of peace and righteousness while preparing yourself for the Christian kingdom to come. It is, IMO, quite moving.

You got me again! Did not think I knew what this was... But sure enough I heard it back in the day but it has been years! Wow this is a hidden gem! Thank you, Ryan! Sad I can't listen in the headphones. But it was good just listening. They were good in the 60's by they remade songs in the late 80's. One was "This Old Heart of Mine" featuring Rod Stewart. But they are classic R&B! Good Choice!

Try their Summer Breeze cover. The Isley Brothers ...Ernie Isley is one of the best guitarist in the industry.. learned early on from Jimi Hendrix who lived with them and played briefly with them.

Wow! I haven't heard this since the 80's when I would slow dance with a hot girl at Cincinnati's notorious old "meet" market nightclub called Burgundy's. They also played the slow jam "Two Occasions" by Cincinnati band The Deele.

Technically, they are not the Isley brothers, although they were a part of the group the Isley brothers. They joined the group in the 1970’s, along with Chris Jasper, brother-in-law. These 3 younger members left the group and formed Isley, Jasper, Isley. This was their first song after leaving the group. You should react to some Isley brothers. The Beatles did a cover of their song “Twist and Shout”. The Isley brothers have a lot of hit songs.
