Before last October I never knew how bad things were for the Palestinian People...and to think these horrors have been taking place for 76 years! As a Briton, I now see the Balfour Declaration and the stealing of Palestine and handing it over to the Zionists as the most shameful act my country ever committed. If only we could turn the clock back and undo this terrible injustice.
@@hathawayrose2183 Whenever empires retreat from a place, there is chaos. It happened to the Levante several times, didn't it? Compared to others, Britain did a pretty good job. It's a shame, that the Palestines did not take the UN offer and concentrated on building a prosperous state. Palestine could be like Israel now. Think democracy, think a functioning state, think health insurance, think education, think easily getting a visa for the USA to spent your holiday there. Think not being dependend on the help if the West to feed your citiziens. But the story took another turn.
I never believed the Israelus that antisemitism is still a big problem in the world (the western world, to be precise, as it normal in muslim countries). I had to change my mind.
Go and do some history before you shill for israhell if it was not for the muslims the jews would of been wiped off the map by the european christians eg spain, germany etc under islamic rule and the ottoman empires the jewish people thrived it was the golden era for them? @@juliarichter6987
@Frugivorix34 No they do.nt. They just bluff everyone in believing they do,and then try to reininforce that false narrative with force and unending propaganda.
Pepe, I'm a psychologist and im telling you psychopaths can't be taught a lesson. Psychopathy is not a decease, it's a personal/collective deviant condition that is unchangeable, but is permanent and incurable. That's what scares me about potential long-term repercussions...
This is what frightens me too when I talk to people in the west that are indoctrinated and propagandised. It is also very hard for people after a certain age to accept that they were wrong their whole life, this would strain their mind too much.
Even if unchangeable, psychopaths are only 4-6% of the human population. The rest of humanity has been blindsided by them simply from lack of awareness, education and social policy for dealing with this deviant condition. We the 94% must learn to keep these folks out of leadership and authority positions in society, and educate from childhood how to identify and reject psychopathic manipulation. It can be done. Many of us who are aware of this condition have learned the hard way. Education is the the key.
The consequence of your statement scares me even more. Since humanism is impossible in the presence of psychopaths, there would only be one solution left.
@@ich3601 Humanism requires rational behaviour in public affairs and especially a trait that has been lost on modern politicians: Professional Detachment. That used to be the trait of real statesmen!
Sadly, it wont be that rough. Zionists control Blackrock which manages assets of $10 Trillion. More than the GDP or South Korea, Germany and Japan combined.
Pepe talking about Israel being allowed to carry out a genocide said, “everyone knows the reasons, and the fact that we can’t talk about the reasons”, reminded me of a famous quote from Voltaire. “In order to learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticise” - Voltaire
@@juliarichter6987 Pepe said, “I don’t need to spell out the reason, everyone knows the reason, the fact that we can’t even talk about the reason….’. Perhaps Pepe didn’t “spell out the reason” due to the fact that, as you said “antisemitism” is not free speech. That’s a fair point and we need to be careful about it. I recall watching the Wall Street protests a few years ago on an alternative media channel. It was the hottest news at the time. They were interviewing the encamped protesters on the channel. One of the protesters whom they interviewed was a middle aged black woman. She said that one day a group of Jewish men passing by approached them and said, “you guys are blaming the banks for all of your problems. You are scapegoating the banks for everything. That actually is an antisemitic statement”. Therefore, we need to be extremely careful, even if it means concealing the truth, due to fear of “antisemitism”.
Feedback: I like your style, Nima. No nonsense. Just ask the question and let the guest run with it. Been enjoying these interviews. Keep up the good work, brother.
This is pretty much the best channel around for topics like these because Nima is a great host who gets that people want to hear the guests while also enjoying Nima’s thoughts and perspectives. It’s a major palette cleanser after watching pretty much any Piers Morgan video on these topics.
After Gaza and the blatant disregard for example to the UN, ICJ, ICC, UNHRC, UNICEF, UNRWA and UNSC the Western Countries demolished the "Rule Based Order" and "International Humanitarian Law." I hope Israel is worth that for them…
The US is hosed without the petrodollar. I believe this is a last ditch attempt for them to reassert their power in the M. East. It's backfiring horribly (as it usually goes) but that ain't gonna stop the warmongers.
Correct. Further, they have nazified international sport. Football wasn't a world Cup, not without Russian team. And the Olympics. Imagine, usa uk France israel etc for decades commit war crimes, illegal invasions etc but... only Russia is banned. Then the baseness of music bankruptcy aka eurovisionless. Apparently Israel is in 'europe" but not Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, not even Jordan. (The head of Jordan military IS BRITISH)
All those orgs you wrote in your comment were created by the same cabal that created Israel. Order out of chaos:- A new rule based order will be created.
15 years ago I read a Pepe article on war, and I emailed him my thoughts. He is the first author to ever actually respond with a personal email. I will never forget that.
Two state solidifies Apartheid. We did not need it in South Africa post Apartheid and don't need it now. It has to be a secular Palestinian State for all.
As complicated and convoluted as geo-politics has become, I am comforted by the fact that the World is recognizing what an inordinate, destabilizing force that American has become : presumed "democracy" on the inside of its borders yet utter dominance everywhere else. That blatant hypocrisy is seen by most the world except for Americans themselves!
Mr Escobar reinforced much of my assessment of the Palestinian question and it's reality going forward. I also share his frustration and anger, and look forward to BRICS assuming the mantle of the world's pre-eminent association of nations where all member states enjoy equal representation. His opinion on the limitations of the IOF, touted as the world's most moral army, was refreshingly pleasing to hear. I do however pity the poor Patagonians who won't be resting easily in their beds from now on. It also begs the question - 'How long before we are marching to the chorus of 'from the Andes to the sea, Patagonia will be free'?
It's not only in the US, police are violent in Germany, Netherlands, Italy, UK. Etc. Germany has been so extreme in criminalising more Jewish activist then most other groups!
Military oppressors like Israel always fall apart due to their economic downfall, rarely from military defeat. It's the Arab and Muslim nations who keep the Israeli economy going and they are equally to blame for the genocide in Gaza as the US. I'm talking about Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Turkey, etc.
@@joerosa2532when in the UK we copy the US and talk about distractions it sounds ridiculous. But in the US people literally can only focus on one thing at a time 😂
Universal awareness and unification is the best hope for humanity itself. America's ignorant intransigence in that regard breaks my heart and convinces me that America itself has become antithetical to world peace and cooperation. Oh, to have lived this long!
"Israel is a settler colonial project that is nearing its end,as colonial projects reach their final phase become more brutal and ruthless." - llan Pappe
Pepe Escobar is a brilliant analysist you are such a voice of reason for the whole world thank you Nima for your continuing spreading the truth and a complete understanding of what is happening never peace talks or diplomacy
Still remember the Israel leader showing the fully occupied country map in UN when he proudly promoting the I2U2 (Israel+India & UAE+US) project which they targeting to beat the Chinese BRI...
There is a fundamental difference between the circumstances in the Eastern Mediterranean and Ukraine: in the first case, the aggressor is clearly a notorious crusader, settler colonial state, in the second, the Russian Federation, at least in measurable, material terms is the aggressor NOT Ukraine. Whatever you think of the countries concerned, or NATO’s contributions to Russian existential angst, these hard cold facts are incontrovertible.
34:47 I agree that the 2-state solution is unworkable, because the Yunohus would invade the Palestinian state or make life in it impossible and the US would protect them from consequences.
Sadly,we Brits caused this, yet my Grandad marched into Jerusalem with Allenby,Lawrence of Arabia, and French troops, thinking he and his comrades had liberated Palestine from the Ottoman Turks. The young soldiers and Arabs were betrayed by Sykes and Picot.
Brutal silencing of young generation is like sitting on timing bomb. I advise the politicians to address youth concern's other wise the young are leaders of new generation.
I read an article recently that 67% of boys in German schools believe Islamic law is above German law. Not surprising young Germans are converting, considering how horrible they're treated by their own country, but man when these boys become of age the comeuppance will be legendary.
I would appreciate a more nuanced analysis of Brazil and Africa. Chatacterizing Brazil as a mess belies the fact that Brazil has to manage and navigate the empire at virtually its front door. That Lula is cleaning up from Bolsonaro while also trying to unify key parts of LATAM and Caribbean and counter significant disruption from the US and West. Same with BRICS member Ethiopia in the horn of Africa. There's significant meddling and destabilization from the US. So dig deeper.
Geopolitical economy is a podcast/video show that I’ve found that focuses mostly on central and South America, or with a predominantly South american focus. Maybe worth checking out at least, I’m in Canada so I can’t vouch for accuracy though.
Remember the anti authoritarian lyrics of the 60s 70s 80s 90s? Those "rock stars" are mostly quiet, hiding, or fully behind the authorities. With very few exceptions
We must make a distinction between "religious" texts and Zionism. The Zionists and founders of Israel were and are most, if not all, atheists, materialists and many were socialists. Conflating religion and Zionism makes for more conflict and no resolutions. The Zionists refer to biblical texts because Zionism uses whatever it can propagandize to justify its position. One must understand Christian Zionism to understand Zionism at all. Zionism is NOT a Jewish movement. Christian Zionism preceded by 300 years at least this phony-baloney modern Zionism that is linked to the Jews. It's far more crazy than it seems because it is linked in their minds with Armageddon and the Apocalypse and a messianic return; Jesus would have had nothing to do with this. Do not try and find logic there or rationality there. Do not wring your hands over how the Israelis should be behaving differently. The unholy alliance between the US and Israel is a link through psychosis, the determination to destroy. Judaism is a pacifist religion. What is a Jew without Judaism? He's a member of whatever country he came from. This conflict has nothing to do with the Jews, only that the Zionist perpetrators can wave the banner of the Holocaust and cry "we are the victims." It should not be entertained anymore. I think we are over it.
Wait till they start getting hungry and can't afford their shelters....then everyday americans will be that much more angry... Since there are only 2 class, more poor people than rich/powerful ... we can see where all that anger will be targeted...
To this day every single American is subsidizing a Jenn O’ side in Israel. And universities are directly supplying research and ingenuity to Israeli war projects in exchange for Israeli ‘endowments’, all while US largesse is thrown at Israel, as long as Israel spends those US dollars shopping at US arms manufacturers like Lockheed and Martin Thiokel, General Dynamics. The Occupation is a makework project for the US military industrial complex. This is why students are protesting. They’ve peeked behind the curtain and witnessed the truth.
Pepe. Yes there is a country in Afrika following the thuggish policies and still covered by the same club of vultures. Rwanda and its current leadership are doing the very same in Kongoland and helping neo-cons similar projects in African space. Please keep a close eye on events. Matondo😢😢😢
Pepe shares my worries exactly and that question about solving the problem of genocidal nations is a big one. The pattern as I see it for the various problems is centred in the West which is in the process of collapsing. Most of the major international institutions are also also compromised, the UN for example is also captured by WEF interests. We also see the BRICS process as a way of doing away with corrupted institutions like the World Bank, IMF, Swift, our MSM, and generally WEF etc. "influenced" governments. The multipolar process also needs to find a new kind of "UN" that cannot be dominated by special interests and aggressive peer powers. I believe the answer at least lies in this direction.
