ThingsAreToughAllOver I completely agree with you... we must pray that the Lord raise godly men up. They are the biggest targets of the enemy.

I agree with you, but also see the problem from another perspective, which I offer here.... You have said, "... please pray for more men to step up and take their places in church leadership all over the world", to which I would add, AND MAKE THEM BE HUMBLE AND CONTRITE MEN. In fact, if I am not wrong, I think many men need to step down from their place of leadership because they are doing such a woeful job of it, i.e. "the tremendous lack of leadership" that you speak of, and hand the church back to the Lord. One factor being that they drive men away from the church thru leadership exhibiting dominating, controlling, intimidating and manipulating processes. Also, leaders who sacrifice the truth for expediency and the ability to hold onto power, and treat everyone like mushrooms (keep them in the dark and feed them BS) need to step down. ~~~~ I LOVE the church but it is in the process of loosing its way, especially thru some ghastly preaching. A recent sermon by a 20-something single male who spoke on "suffering" ... unmarried and no kids, let alone raising them to adulthood. He was fit and healthy but doesn't know what it means to be someone like me 40 years his senior with chronic disease and in the later years of life. Basically he has had very little experience of life and what it means to remain faithful and hanging thru the horrors of living on this planet. How come he gets to preach? Because the 'leadership' (+/- 40 year olds) have not a real clue that the congregation need spiritual food. That day I, and I expect many others, went away malnourished thinking is that all that this place can bring? I was edified 100 times more here with Amir's message than I have all year at my 'church'. May the Lord bless him.
