My truck arrived yesterday and i just watched this video an hour ago. Went and checked the fuses...none of the fuses in the steering wheel fuse panel were fully seated and 50% of the fuses were not seated properly in the engine bay fuse panel. Thanks for passing this along...i saw it on the forum last month but forgot to look at it. THANKS A BUNCH!! May have saved me a real headache.
@@ButterDaInsider yeah you're not kidding. Love this thing though.. getting some PPF and full ceramic right now. I'm stoked to see it.. I sent you a message on the forum about exhaust tips. Not sure if you check it much these days.
Appreciate all your informative videos Butter. I ordered my TRX on 4/2/21. Lead time was not bad and I took possession of,it on 6/1/21. On 6/3 with just under 50 miles, your suspension bolts video came to mind, so I got my creeper and did a full undercarriage inspection. Worse than loose bolts, I found a major leak at the bell housing where the transmission bolts up to the motor! FCA and my dealer took care of it but it took almost 3 weeks! I just got it back this week and so far, no leaks. Love the truck but hate that such a big issue got past the factory and my dealer. PDI is nothing more than a detail/wash these days. Be sure to look yours over as Butter recommends!
@@ButterDaInsider went to check out a trx at a dealership today. They supposedly only had the havoc. A salesman came up to me and asked if he could help me. I was looking the truck over because this is the first time really seeing this beast in person. I asked him how much it was. This dude was like I don't know about everything. Watching ur videos really educated me. I asked him how much the truck was, the MSRP sheet was nowhere to be found. The guy said " let me ask my manager. I told the salesman that I guaranteed he will come back with a marked up price. Low and behold he came back and told me" the truck is 225k. I said see u guys mark this truck way up. He tried to tell me he could show me the proof the truck was not marked up by pulling up what the 1st owner paid. We went to his office and found the original price. The guy looked stunned, he said the truck was bought for 107k. I told him when I walked in that I built the truck online and the MSRP came out to 106k. When he finally agreed that the truck was indeed marked way up he asked me😂😂😂😂can we do a deal for 110k? I said no I don't like the color yellow for the havoc. I also told him I won't pay a penny over MSRP good bye.
Ohmylawd, wish I saw your vids before putting deposit on one on Monday. I hope they took notice and correct them by this time. Thank you for doing this.
Am a ford guy, got a rebel gt for a loaner was a beautiful truck inside and out. Opened my eyes to RAM trucks. Looked for a TRX level 2 everywhere. Couldn't find one so I decided to look at a raptor. Bought said raptor and couldn't be happier sure I don't have 700 hp but tons of groups on FB that have had issue after issue and not to mention the theft on the trx.
Love it man. Yes u are the only one exposing the problems. And its from ram. When I get mine I'm doing a full pretrip on the truck like I do on my semi. Every day I'm going to crawl up under the truck
Thanks for the info, just checked my trx, I ordered it in March, and it was built around memorial weekend, I wasn't to fond of the idea of it being built on a holiday weekend, because I know the adittides of workers on a Friday or before holidays, but I checked all the suspension bolts, lug nuts, and fuses, and have found no issues after 1k on it, but thanks ill have to keep an eye on those things.
Same here; so far no issues(hope I’m not jinxing myself) but I will be checking everything this weekend again. I take it back, the only issue I’ve noticed is that I’ll be cruising down the freeway and it feels like 60-70 but look down and I’m doing 90. Help!
Yeah my lug nuts were loose too. I found that out when I went to torque and install security lug nuts! Also screw for the fender flare’s we’re lose and lost 2 bolts as well. Found that out washing truck. I’ll keep adding information here on RU-vid and join the forums.
Just shared this with my FB page. Since a lot of my friends here in Detroit works at FCA and more specifically at the sterling heights plant. Fyi they have QA's that are mussing this.
Thanks. I know how it is up there at SHAP. I have some buddies that work in the plant. Those higher up's in the plant know me well from calling out the quality slips in February
Ram has always been known for poor quality . That’s why I wasn’t too eager to pull the trigger on the first model. They make great looking trucks with the exterior and great interior. But when it comes to the bolts , nuts and reliable technology. It’s a different story
I still want this truck even tho all this shit and I’m a Raptor owner right now. I’m just gonna lay low for now and see what happens with Raptor R and the new 2022-23 TRX. Great video thanks for the info I keep eyeballing those TRX maybe one day.
Thank you for your videos. I'm watching these trying to figure out why my fiance is dead. We picked up his 2021 TRX from the dealership, where he had it towed at 500 Miles because the transmission stopped working. About an hour after that, we were in a wreck and he's dead. There are lots of factors, but I want to know if the truck played a role. It was an amazing truck, but I just feel like there was something more to it because my fiance was a great driver and now three people are dead.
No suspension issues on mine; however, an intercooler line was not clamped correctly and it was leaking coolant. It took the dealer just under two weeks to replace the intercooler.
Had the dealership check the fuses under the dash, just like the ones under the ALL of them were loose. Had them check the suspension bolts, they were good and torqued right. Now having "service active dampening system" message, any idea on that one? The dealership seems a bit clueless. Thanks for the forum, it really helps.
As far as I currently, Ram has several thousand backed up 1500 orders because of parts shortages. looks like they will finish the 21's and then move to 22 models.
Bought a 22 trx coolant levels dropped at 500 miles again at 1200 again at 2200. Making appt at dealership for the third time here. I just bought this truck July 3,2022! Dang!!! One month owning this thing and it’s my daily driver. SMH
Hey brother, I’m on the fence trading my 2020 GMC 2500 AT4 Duramax for one of these. Would you recommend holding off or just have a very thorough inspection?
Just have a good inspection. Plenty of people get solid ones but there are some bad apples out there that just need to have a great inspection before it gets into your hands. It's pure fun everytime you jump in a TRX
The fuses part has been an issues since the 5th gens came out a few years ago. The bolts being loose is just bad QA especially when dozens of people couldn't see a upper control arm bolt hanging out but the owner did on day 1
My Trx makes a screeching sound every time I turn it on , sounds like a wored out belt from an old car🤦🏻♂️ taking it in this week to see what the hell is causing that noise smh 🤬
budder budder dats his name.makes sense of the trx is his game. Dat budder dat budder and you know its true.Hes got a friend name JAMM thats awesomly kewl
